Dial and hands from cadisen + case and bracelet from pagani = perfect

At the moment I am writing this comment (December 2022) the situation has changed a bit - Pagani still offer their "Oak" with NH35, but Cadisen now sell it with Miyota 8215. The Cadisen costs appx. 80 dollars, Pagani appx. 115 dollars. Seiko is more modern and advanced, offering 2-way winding, but both are considered reliable and long lasting workhorses. Some say that Miyota is loud, but that's not the case with mine.
Cadisen have improved their crown, it is now screw down, hexagonal, bigger and grippier. Looks much better than Pagani's, I think. The size difference remains the same and that was the main reason I went for Cadisen, as I have a large wrist. The other reason was the price and the third was the bracelet. I personally like the Cadisen's more - I think this rough, brushed, "primitive" style fits better the overall style of the watch; I have a feeling it's a solid, manly, blacksmith-made piece of metal and it matches my style better than fancier Pagani bracelet (I'm closer to hi-vi jacket than a shirt and tie). Mind you, it does not have the micro adjustments, so for some this could be an issue, as you can only adjust the size by removing or adding the links.
I went for the grey meteorite dial and I find it stunning. The legibility with metal hands suffers a bit, but again I find it matching the style perfectly. You may consider the black meteorite or waffle style instead, if this is an important factor for you.
I have not had a Pagani in my hand, so I cannot be the judge and tell which one is better. I can however tell - if, same as me, you like the Cadisen more, just go for it and you will be happy. It's not perfect, but a really, really nice watch. For this sort of money and quality it's a bargain.

Pagani is to expensive but more refined. The Cadisen wins me for that gorgeous dial.

Pagani wins for me with the size/proportions and IMO much better bracelet (even though I don't like that the endlinks are slight wider than the end of the case). I prefer it over all, but not sure if the almost double the price is warranted though.

To be honest, I did not even look at this comparison before I bought. As soon as I found out Pagani had done a royal oak, I bought it. Pagani have simply earned my trust. My collection is 18 watches deep, and 6 of them are Paganis. It all started when I bought their quartz Daytona homage. I was shocked at the specs I got for the money, and even more shocked at how well done it all was when I received it.
From there it was "Game On," and I chose the Pagani 5 more times, to homage for me the Seamaster, the Submariner, the GMT, this royal oak, and the Black Bay. Their new GMT 2 is in my Amazon shopping cart waiting for my next payday...haha.
Now, I have the video paused at 11:38, so I don't know which you picked yet. And maybe I am just a Pagani homer. But there is something I cannot put my finger on about that Cadison...it has such similar specs...but it just looks cheap. I can't tell you why, or what it is...but it just, somehow, looks like a 35 dollar Wal Mart special.
OK, unpausing now to see what you chose...

I see your point and i think it varies with people. Some people love pagani and some hate them

@@TheWatcherReviews True enough. And when it comes to what a man likes or dislikes, no opinion can be "wrong." It's completely subjective in a situation where the specs are matching. And even when they aren't...heck, two of my favorites are my Vostoks. Low spec, cheap, Commie origins...but I love them anyway, because the low rent engineering is brilliant and creative as hell.
Folks like what they like, and that's part of the fun of the hobby.

At the price difference, I'd have to go for the cadisen

I made a similar comparison and went with the Pagani because of the bracelet. I only had pictures to go by. I am very happy with it.

I have the Cadisen with the skeletonize dial, and the bracelet really brings down the watch. It was very disappointing.

Thanks for the review which I enjoyed. Both brands got quite a lot wrong for a homage I think. In terms of homage points, Pagani are nearer the AP than Cadisen, although as both of these stand in their present form, I'd give both a miss. I think there's room in the market for someone to get far closer to AP for similar money. And in my opinion, the Pagani waffle dial is much closer to the original!

I guess I'm the only one that's glad that Cadisen went their own direction for the case, dial and bracelet.

As soon as the review started I noticed the pagani had a nicer bracelet and I thought the bezel and case looked more premium, the dial on the cadisen was better though! The Sanmartin homage looks great as well and check out the rotary regent, both are over £200 but might be worth paying the extra??? Another great review my friend 👍

If you're interested in another Royal Oak comparison, Holluns make some very reasonable variants.

Nice review, thank you. Do like the Cadisen, But do like Pagani a bit more, shame about the lume, on both watches, hope they fix it One Day. Cheers mate for sharing, and going through the differences, and showing the quality between the two brands.

The Cadison does have a blue leather strap option that looks great because it matches the blue dial. I prefer the leather strap over the metal bracelet.

From my personal experience of owning both I would say that Cadisen has better quality and attention to details. Cadisen also has better antireflective coating.

I just purchased the Cadisen and awaiting delivery. However, the photos are different from this version in the video. For example, the new one I'm waiting for has flathead screws not an allen screw style. And I think it's also 12 sided, not 8. I'll have to wait and see.

because of how these bracelets are integrated into the case would it mean that swapping it out for a leather/rubber is not an option?

Yes, unless you trim a few mm from both sides of the end of the strap.
