I was scared of this ride for a long time in my childhood. But now that I’m a full grown adult who has grown to love this ride. It’s kinda… heartbreaking to see Dinosaur and Dinoland USA go. At least we have people like you who have recorded the entire ride and queue so the memories can live on. Thank you!
Another beautifully shot video. I have no doubt that Indy will be an improvement - but I am definitely going to miss this ride, so underrated and with an all-timer of a preshow.
Dinosaur was my favorite ride at the Animal Kingdom. I loved the sudden turns and darkness which made it super fun. I had an absolute blast with this one and I’m devastated that Disney is replacing it with another Indiana Jones ride.
I was lucky enough to ride this ride in February of 1999. It was actually a very new ride at the time. A little bummed that I never got to see it again before it will close. Also, it feels like this ride may have not aged too well with a lack of updates and a distinct late 90s/early 00s style to it. So even riding it today would feel so so different from when it was brand new. If they could have updated it within the theme of dinosaurs, I would have loved to have seen them try to basically make it a highly expanded version of the dinosaur section you see on the train ride in Disneyland. It would have honored Walt's vision, referenced a well established attraction, had some visuals that also nod to Fantasia.
