There are two types of Kalaris are practicing .. one is Northern Kalari practicing in Kerala another one is Southern Kalari in South Tamilnadu.. northern Kalari mostly Using weapons and Southern Kalari methods of tuching like Varma points...
Northern Kalari invented by Parasurama. And South by Agasthya muni...

@@AjaiAron nop its not like that... northern Kalari is practised in northern Kerala and southern Kalari is practised in southern Kerala. Some parts of Thiruvithamkoor Kerala, like Kanyakumari district and near areas was merged to Tamilnadu in 1956 . People in these areas also practices southern Kalari.
