    Some of them look very similar, but it's what they can do that defines them. The F-18 and all it's variant are very good, battle-proven aircraft. But it is sorta old. The F-22 is a better fighter aircraft, and is one of the best in the world. Unfortunately, production was stopped because they were expensive and we really don't have a need for fighter-only aircraft. That is why the F-18 is used, it can do everything. Eventually, it will be replaced with the STOVL, multi-function F-35

    you should try it in a smaller plane with less weight and slower speed. Like the T45. Do they come in single seaters? I have an instructor in the back who keeps complaining about the lack of enough sick bags. He needs them for my flying I need them because of him.

  • @Dia1Up
    @Dia1Up 11 лет назад

    Ive wondered the same thing.... Although Im guessing, just like anything else, the faster and faster you go, the more and more dense the air gets. In the case of jet fighters going 400+ mph, I feel like the air in fact would act like rails.... My theory anyway :l

  • @StaKind85
    @StaKind85 11 лет назад

    SuperHornet is nothing like the Hornet. It is Gen 4.5 and is 30 percent larger with RAM skin, etc. Semi-Stealth. It's capabilities are vastly improved over the mediocre/moderate performing F/A-18A-C which can't break Mach 2 (unless under perfect conditions and even then ?)

  • @Italiankid1029
    @Italiankid1029 11 лет назад

    Yeah that's a good point, but hydraulics are a big part as well, so is the durability of the air-frame. A stronger frame means an aircraft can turn at higher speeds. There is also aileron size and payload. A lot comes into the factor of maneuverability, and yes, shape is a big one.

  • @AnkhDjedSeneb
    @AnkhDjedSeneb 11 лет назад

    The other reason they go inverted and pull over ridgelines is so they don't 'balloon' in altitude on the far side of a ridge crossing. Apparently you can make a nice target for hostile air defences if you do. So it is away of staying low, while doing positive G rather than negative G.

    Can anyone tell about how fast he is going? I have read that the F18 is pretty much the slowest fighter in the US military. I want to kind of judge how much faster the plane can go compared to this perspective, as I am going to try to fly them myself one day.

    Wasn't done with that comment argh FML (smartphone). Anyway, I have no probelem with the song itself; it's a fine song for getting hot and bothered, but it's painfully out of place in a jet fighter video (IMO).

    Pretty slick flying. But there are some awesome clips on RUclips of RAF and US flyers training in the Welsh and Scottish valleys. Now when you are looking DOWN on a Typhoon, Tornado or F15 then that is low. Being ex RAF well of course our boys do it best!
