But this song isn't disco. It's soft rock. The original version performed by Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1971 and went gold within a few months. The album is extraordinary.
I remember in about ‘77 there was a National Geographic article on Los Angeles and one photo showed 2 women shopping on Rodeo drive and they looked just like the classy tall lady on the right!
Can't beat the original by HJF&R, which I remember very well from 1971, but a great cover effort nevertheless! The horns are still in there, and I love the orchestra backing with the prominent strings section as well!
@@Girard1020 The original song is beautiful, Dan Hamilton's voice is incomparable. Dan also died young from a very serious chronic illness, and 4 months before he passed away, he recorded an amazing song while in a wheelchair. His voice had the same brightness, smoothness, and power as always. ruclips.net/video/GUO9SDd9UhU/видео.htmlsi=vHfxyvxM2rfNQgpF
I must say that no version will be able to surpass the incredibly beautiful rendition by Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds. I'll leave the link for those who want to listen to the beautiful original song ❤ ruclips.net/video/GUO9SDd9UhU/видео.htmlsi=-Cjqz0LzwFfiu0Fy

Wow ‘77 was amazing - look at the state of those sensational slacks and that classy tall woman’s hair and moves on the right
Very nice.
they don't make good music like this anymore
Why should they? Doing same music over and over again would be dull AF
The best original song

Is it just me or are those costumes a little... uh...never mind.
totally awesome???? Yes, I agree!!
@@raybbjThat was my first thought. Those costume are fuckin' outstanding!
The singing is good, the production is good, but the song seems to be lacking a satisfying tune to me.
Did not like it.
