I notice a lot of coaches are strict on using 16oz gloves for sparring, is it fair that a 200 pound boxer uses the same gloves as someone who weighs say 125 pounds? Don't all same brand gloves have the same amount of padding but just different width?
Nice review!! In Austria its pretty hard to find a strore where you can try gloves on, can you suggest me a punchers glove 12OZ for training (velcro), with a small silhouette, but long enough for long fingers (6.4 here)? Got an eye on Salvador gloves which you already reviewed and got a good scoring.
Horses for courses this definitely does put my hand in a powerlock position when making a fist the thumb shape and placement is perfect for my hand but not might not be for everyone else. My winning cletos rivals etc gloves takes a back seat to this glove when im trying to train form and power the squareness of the fist area is also a bonus and the firmness of the padding is just enough to not make them a full punchers glove but also firm enough to protect your knuckles.
Hey, if you get chances, would you be able to do a review on some Sibiga Fight Gear gloves? They’re of a Muay Thai and Boxing styles. They’re a British company and from what I’ve seen from people using them they’re decent quality but always looking for that extra opinion. Thanks!
I love the new powerlock 2s in lace up , way more durability than the 1s. Though the velcro in the old powerlocks REALLY locked you in, these velcro ones seem to not lock you in as much, maybe a way higher break in period is needed for me. They do have a lot more foam in the wrist area
These look great and look like a major upgrade from their previous model. I wish they came out with matching head and groin guards.
Mine have just arrived. Black with grey trim

Im 240lbs i think 200 or above 16 should be minimum. Ive even got 18oz gloves but generally use 16oz for sparring. Rival rs1 and Sabas supersoft.
