- Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson sat down with Will Cain of Fox News to discuss a variety of topics including his 2020 endorsement of now-president Joe Biden - and of course later on took Johnson completely out of context, putting words in his mouth.

The Rock made the mistake to agree to an interview with fox news.
Nah, he did it on purpose so MAGA can go back to enjoying wrestling.
He did it because he's going to be heavily involved with wrestling for a while, that's all, he will not endorse Trump either (thank God). He's just going to keep his opinions to himself.
Hes just trying to win all his Texans back.
He has been a closeted Republican
Exactly!
Dwayne, buddy, if you want to be non divisive maybe don’t give interviews to fucking FOX news.
Wonder why FOX NEWS is number ONE....LMAO
TRUMP 2024....TRUMP 2024....TRUMP 2024...TRUMP
@@Myers70 🤣 #1 in cable news…? That’s because their viewers are ancient. Nobody under 70 watches cable anymore.
“According to Nielsen, last year only Fox News averaged more than two million viewers. Ten years ago, when cord cutting and streaming video were both in its nascent stage, there had been six cable networks that averaged over two million primetime viewers; USA, ESPN, Disney Channel, History Channel, TNT and TBS. Furthermore, in 2023 there were only three cable networks that sustained an average audience above one million viewers, compared to five in 2022. By comparison, in 2013 there were 19 cable networks that averaged over one million viewers.”
“Cable and satellite TV is no longer the norm: only adults aged 60 or above express a preference for traditional TV over video streaming services and apps, and among certain age groups the share who preferred the latter was over 70 percent. Indeed, a 2022 survey found that the majority of Gen Z, millennials, and Gen X did not have a cable subscription.”
But it wouldn’t be divisive if he agreed to be interviewed by CNN? LMAOOO.
But if he didn't go on Fox how would he pander to his MAGA fans?
@@Myers70 #1 in getting sued? Yes, without a doubt!
"I am concerned about the divisions in the country, so I'm going on Fox to explain it". Nobody ever said Dwayne Johnson was a genius.
Fox News- We start shit, and want you to blame Biden for it!😂😂😂
The Rock realized how many wrestling fans are MAGA LMFAO
Im not. To me Wrestling is great entertainment and shouldn't be perverted by politics...
@@Raydensheraj I didn't say all, but if I had to put a number on it, I'd say it's probably 70/30 lol idk, it's hard to take the politics out of it, when it affects everything.
You would be surprised the majority of wrestling fans are liberal
@Raydensheraj seriously? Isn't Trump in the WWE Hall of Fame? Didn't he literally hire Linda McMahon to run the Small Business bureau? No politics in wrestling 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@draimonshepherd1791 yeah I was there when he put in the crowd booed the whole time and that was in 2013
Everything the Rock said was spoken like a true politician.
I agree, sadly. 😒
Right
Well he was talking about running for office a couple of years ago so...
Disappointed. In Dwayne Johnson. He plays the hero so much in make believe, but apparently not so much in real life.
Exactly
The Rock:" I don't want to lose Trump fans and make them angry at me for choosing Biden. I like having the biggest following and if they don't follow me I will be sad. "
David: the rock care so much about his fans not about the money he can make off of people. Such a kind hearted guy
That shows how sensitive Trump voters are
Just like Germany seems we are pussyfooting around this dangerous man just like Hitler. This was a huge disappointment. He should have said nothing instead of I'll support a fascist if elected, I'm seeing this now more and more iits dangerous

This is him admitting that wading into politics has personal consequences.
For someone who went from college/NFL football, and from there into the WWE and then movies and TV.
Soooo…. The people that took him out of context and made his life worse was republicans… not democrats… rather telling 🤔
And it was Fox who causes most of the divisions, not the Rock's endorsement of Biden.
I mean let’s be honest here…had he come out and supported Trump during the last elections I’m sure he would have felt backlash from the left

It's definitely not confined to republicans. People on reddit were saying he's a shit human and that he would be okay with a national abortion ban based on this interview. Total insanity.

Marjorie Taylor Green and Lauren Boebert, plus Gym Jordan try that. 😂😂😂😂

Seriously, why do we even care what the rock has to say about politics? A guy that’s worth 800 million couldn’t possibly understand what Americans go through.
This is a silly pov
It’s funny how we put actors and singers on this pedestal, where are the real experts oh I know they won’t listen to them because they’re educated and know what they’re talking about.
If he came out as a leftist you would be all for him. Yes he is really out of touch and wealthy but we can't hate when they are conservatives and then love when they are left.
@@redfin382 He... endorsed Joe Biden? And now he's refusing to take a stance. So... who is implying they wouldn't criticize him if he was leftist? What are you talking about?
He started poor & make it through hard work.
He continues to this day to give money to those in need.
This is what Dwayne gets for going on Fox expecting them to treat him fairly. I mean they always treated people with not pale skin awesomely. don't they?
Yes why is he going on Nazi TV. Maybe he should read a history book about Goebbels.
Yeah he should have known they were gonna twist his words
Now he should acknowledge publicly what they have done to the interview with him let’s see if he has a backbone underneath all that muscle
A lot of his people are on there he has a business to run his business
He really overestimates how much people like him
Especially now as the face of WWE, The Rock doesn’t want the right wing backlash of endorsing Biden. It’s not about division; it’s only about the fear of losing $$$
Yeah plus he could run in 2028 if he's ready.
So what. You don't need to be in attack mode 24/7.
You don't know Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, now do you? He has absolutely no reason to BS anyone about this. Did you not hear him say he was the most followed American male on social media? He's afraid of losing money? That is ridiculous! He's probably worth close to a billion dollars by now. He's one of the kindest, most generous actors in Hollywood. You going to trash Cena now? Or why don't you go after Keanu Reeves and tell us how he's only out for the money.

He’s a trumphumper now.
You just noticed?!.
This is the difference between not being fascist and being anti-fascist. The Rock isn't fascist, which is good, but he's too much of a coward to stand up to fascism. He's not anti-fascist.
Rock realized he makes more money staying neutral.
It must have been so easy to do, because Dwayne Johnson is less a human being and more a marketing team's ideal of what a human being would look and sound like.
"It doesn't MATTER what FOX NEWS says!"
I wish that were true
He is taking the cowards way out because he is afraid to lose his fans that are Trump supporters. He is putting his own interests ahead of the interests of the American people and the world as a whole.
Rock is always about money making and his brand. The alcohol his drinking is prob his own line of alcohol or some sponsorship.
I mean would you put your neck out for biden? Lose money for supporting biden? Biden is not worth it.
@@CresentSoul That is his brand with the label carefully facing the camera.
I just love the notion of "bringing the country together" when it doesn't mean bringing the working and middle class together to stand up united against the powerful minority, but when they mean "let's bring Nazis and everyone else together" 😂
Johnson should have known this is exactly what he'd get for being dumb enough to go on FOX and expecting any truth or facts.
They rock cares about the rock only. All he cares about the money he make.
"The Rock refuses to endorss Trump for President" also works
The rock is just another rich person that wants his money more than anything. He’s weak of character.

@@seththompson4339 did your feelings get hurt???
Perfect analysis. The Rock simply doesn’t want to upset his fans and FOX New doesn’t understand nuance
Why would I care about what the rock thinks? Go back to being a bad actor.
All this was was to sell his alcohol.
And technically WrestleMania
If you go on a fox interview you deserve the criticism
Who gives an eff about the “rock”?
His ego is disturbing. Comes on here to talk one thing but just has to throw in his brand too. 🤦♀️ he might as well have just thrown in a plug "... and don't miss my movie in theaters next month 👍"

You can tell what kind of person The Rock is when he says that he votes for the person who's best for The Rock.
He doesn’t endorse anyone but himself and our Tribal Chief
The Final Boss
He could have said that his vote is between the ballot box and him....but encourage people to vote
The Trump phenomenon has warped discourse in every way.
"Phenomenon" makes the Trump situation sound better and more positive than the reality of it all.
no a cancerous cult is not a phenomenon
He didn't need to go on Fox to say all this. He could have just not endorsed.
He needs the inbred wrestling fans to like him again. LMFAO
Exactly
Maybe he is planning a run? 'Fast & Fascist 2028"
The Rock- physically strong and impressive, yet emotionally and morally weak and pitiful. When the future of the Republic is in endangered by a candidate that has already instigated an insurrection and faces 88 felony indictments for his behavior Dwayne chooses dollars and adulation from the right wing over trying to preserve what the Founders gave us all those years ago. So unbelievably sad.
The Rock has shot himself in the foot with this stunt. Kind of reminds me of Dave Rubin.
Why is he even talking about politics ON FOX NEWS if he doesn't want to take a stance? What an NPC coward.
Wow the rock sure sounded like a politician there.
It's simple. Rock endorsed Biden and made the wrestling fan base mad so he isn't going to do it again to stop hearing their complaining
Indie wrestling is heavily anti conservative though
@@InzidenzPanikI agree that he's reading the tea leaves and could find himself in very real and dangerous territory.
This interview is funny cuz I don't need the Rock to endorse anybody that will influence me, I don't take political advice from celebrities
I think Dwayne Johnson is self serving and will go along with anything to continue making money. Damn the morality.
Well said. I've noticed how a streaming platform or exec or studio will do sonething unconscionable and soneone like Rock will publicly denounce that behavior... only to turn around and make a movie on that streaming platform or studio and buddy buddy with that exec. It just is what it is. I just feel sorry for people that consider such people role models.

Im so happy to not pay attention to Fox News, et al, headlines.
Fox News is number 1
God bless President TRUMP
FJB
Huh?
More like The Rock is showing his true colors…..
DJ is my favorite actor and it pained me to watch that interview. It did seem like he was leaning a little to the right. First of all, Will Cain is a big Trump fan, so the fact that he was even on his show worries me. He said that he would support whoever the President is no matter who it is, which is crazy IMO. I think we may have lost him to the Dark Side, sadly. He is a millionaire, almost a billionaire, after all, and Biden "says" he wants to raise his taxes, meanwhile, Trump is promising to lower them. 😔
Can't be serious?!. How can that talentless, wooden, meathead be anyone's favourite actor?, he's never made a single good movie. Irredeemable trash, all of it, seriously, get better taste and watch a real movie that isn't the equivalent of jangling keys.
"I trust the American people."
Big mistake.
Did Fox force him to do an interview at gun point? Nope. HE played HIMSELF.
All he can do is play himself!. He's a talentless, charisma vacuum.
Dwayne “Rocks for Brains” Johnson
I don't think I've ever heard such an egotistical statement in my life! Mr.Dwayne here thinks he has the power to effect an election 🙄
All can be said is lower taxes for him what a shame.
Translation I don't want to lose money from my fan base by picking a side. I just want your money same as any corporation.
The most energy that came out of the Rock during this interview was when he was talking about how he himself was the most followed little boy in America
Measured response, but the right is just too dangerous now. I like the Rock a little less now. Kinda disappointed, shouldn't even be on Fox.
What a crock of BS!!!! In today’s politics every American needs to defend our country!!!!

Agreed. He didn’t say he regretted backing Joe Biden. He says that he regrets saying anything out loud.
The rock is a coward for sitting on the fence in 2024
He could have picked a better platform than Fox, without referencing "woke."
My takeaway from this is that he's a coward and egotistical. He thinks he caused division in the country? Come on. What a clown. Also, let's be real, he didn't choose to shut up. He chose to say this. He gave the right wing ammo to make the claims they're making.
And David, I disagree with your take that he's not talking about division in the country. I think he is.
He turned himself into a weapon for the right wing.
Not division in the country. Division in his fan base.
I think he's keeping himself from people going through with threats he undoubtedly got.
Basically it hurt his pocket book. Great answer though
The only thing he regrets is a loss in his revenue. That was the most neutral, political response to a question he could have given
Can’t he sue their A$$?
That's gotta be a sturdy fence he's sitting on
Why did he not stop nodding? So weird.
Fox: "The liberal Hollywood Elites suck!"
Also Fox: "Please please like us Mr. Rock!"
Why would the rock even do an interview with Fox News? He should already know as well as everybody else that they're going to twist everything
Today I learned about the concept of "most Instagram followers" on a ranked list... Somehow I long for simpler times, i.e. 20 seconds ago when that sort of stuff didn't even cross my mind...
Soooooo he decided to go on Fox and tell them that he shouldn’t have put himself in politics.. while putting himself in politics and also admitting he’s just selfish and wants his followers to continue to follow him……. I just don’t know what the point was for him.
What an ego. Also, Im supposed to take the word of someone who really doesnt stand for much more than a movie paycheck. Whatever. Great wrestler. Great action movie actor. Not much else. Moving on.
When a soap opera of a network offers 24/7 broadcasting , it's gonna be challenged to find breaking news headlines. Fox is the grandmaster of twisting messages to fit their plot base.

"I want to bring the country together." I sense a hidden meaning in bringing them together for his own run in future, incase his does, instead of leaving his potential voters alienated.
It cost him money. It isn't about his fans. It cost Rock money. If Rock had the impact to stop Trump and help the country or keep quiet and make a few extra million, he has chosen the later.
