Gotta hand it to Notre Dame. They don't quit. They came back twice, and they capitalized on Allar's late interception. But both teams played well, and it was a classic football game, the best one so far in the CFP.

I’m a Notre Dame alum and, of course, fan and I have loved seeing this ND team play with such heart and determination. Unlike ND teams of so many years past, this team is finding ways to win rather than finding ways to lose. 2nd half when I saw Riley Leonard smiling so big I started to believe they might really win it because he was having fun. This is a team with intangibles and I love it. BTW, Penn State really outplayed ND much of the game. Kudos to them.

    My opinion
Angeli, driving down and getting 3 points was critical and apparently deflated PSU because we went right down the field and scored 7 to tie it. I think Franklin should of ran out the clock. I think in overtime you would have a advantage running. I never expected that pass! Poor choice. 29 who intercepted that was picked on all game at USC, however, his stats are really good and that interception was awesome. Exactly what was said here. PSU went away from what was working excellently for you. Great game on both sides. Go Irish

Drew Allar looked like trash to me. Cost them four points at the start of the second quarter messing up one of the easiest touchdown passes you can make. And he didn’t complete a single pass to a wide receiver.

ND went south when the NC committee gave the NC to FL State over ND in 1993 even though ND beat FL State head to head and had the same record. Also, the refs are almost always biased to ND's opponents since they come from the opposing conferences. ND is admittedly not usually an elite fast passing offense team, not explosive, but ranked in the top 20 more consistently than any other program with exception of MI. To be top 20 that frequently is not easy, or else other schools would do it. Also, ND self-reported to the NCAA when some students cheated and got whacked. Compared to corrupt teams paying players, hiding criminal students, I'd say ND has a lot to be proud of..
