    1. Won't the led's heat sink melt the rubber gasket thingy?
    2. Steam cleaning the engine - is there a possibility that it could somehow damage the led or maybe have some steam going into the headlight assembly?

    • @ColtonRichter
      @ColtonRichter  3 года назад +1

      1. No, I have 4 years of LED experience to prove this.
      2. Couldn't tell you, if it does which it might, then remove the bulb and have a fan & heat to dry it out :)

  • @A_guan
    @A_guan 3 года назад +1

    Few questions...the spacer you can just slip on? I saw another video and the guy took off the metal piece then slipped the spacer on.
    You can use any H7 correct? Even if it says it doesn't fit?
    Lastly is that groment necessary? Like do I have to put it back on? Don't really want to cut it.

    • @ColtonRichter
      @ColtonRichter  3 года назад

      1. The spacer is quite soft and bendy, easy to maneuver.
      2. H7 is H7, don't listen to eBay's "this will not fit" when shopping for something that will definitly work.
      3. No, but understand moisture in your headlight can happen without it.

    • @A_guan
      @A_guan 3 года назад

      @@ColtonRichter alright thanks! I guess I'll cut the groment like you did. Basically cut the grommet so the cable can fit through correct? Or do I cut so the heat sink/fan of the led can go through the grommet?
      Also that groment is easy to cut with a utility knife yeah?

    Projectors work better with HID. especially on mazda 3, LEDS are better for reflectors.

    • @ColtonRichter
      @ColtonRichter  3 года назад +1

      I agree, LED's are just a cheaper and easier solution. Disagree with LED's and reflector lenses, as they don't project light, they reflect which causes a constant high beam with LED's (Did it with the 323, and see multiple older cars with LED's in reflector lenses)
