- This crochet corset waist belt is an easy and quick project even for beginners. If you need a quick belt accessory, give it a try.
You will need your waist measurements subtract 6 inches. Mine was 25 inches minus 6 = 19 inches
Materials
Chunky yarn about 40g
Tape measure
3.0mm hook
Scissors

Waist measurements minus 6 inches
3.00 mm hook
Scissors
Tape measure
/ Weight 4 yarn
Foundation chain - Top to bottom (she used 25 chains / 6 inches
Single crochet row 1 tight stitches (24 stitches)
Row 2: skip first stitch, SC until 2 sts left, skip 2nd to last, SC in last stitch (22 total)
Row 3: 22 SC
Row 4: skip first stitch, SC until 2 sts left, skip 2nd to last, SC in last stitch (20 total)
Row 5: 20 SC
Row 6: skip first stitch, SC until 2 sts left, skip 2nd to last, SC in last stitch (18 total)
Row 7: 18 SC
Row 8: skip first stitch, SC until 2 sts left, skip 2nd to last, SC in last stitch (16 total)
Row 9: 16 ST
Row 10: skip first stitch, SC until 2 sts left, skip 2nd to last, SC in last stitch (14 total)
Rows 1-10 should be about 2.5 inches wide
Row 11: CH 1, turn SC in each stitch, repeat row until you have a width that is 2.5 less than your goal measurement (If your goal measurement is 19in, repeat row until you have 16.5 inches)
Row 12: SC2 in first stitch, SC in each stitch until last st, SC2 in last stitch
Row 13: SC 16
Row 14 SC2 in first stitch, SC in each stitch until last st, SC2 in last stitch (18 st)
Row 15: SC 18
Row 16: SC2 in first stitch, SC in each stitch until last st, SC2 in last stitch (20 st)
Row 17: SC 20
Row 18: SC2 in first stitch, SC in each stitch until last st, SC2 in last stitch (22 st)
Row 19: 22 st
Row 20: SC2 in first stitch, SC in each stitch until last st, SC2 in last stitch (24st)
Row 21: (ch2, skip two stitches, SC in 3rd stitch, sc,) Repeat until end
Cut yarn and fasten off
Repeat row 21 at other end (starting end)
Cut yarn and fasten off
Make a chain of about 40 inches
Weave chain through spaces and tie it as you wish

This is cute but I dislike going back to the starting row to put in the chain two row. So I pulled mine entirely out and made the correct chain my first row was chain two skip two, etc. Then I started the single crochet row. I'm not doing this according to her directions.

I saw a corset belt online but it was made of up cloth plus leather and it was expensive as hell. I thought of sewing it myself so I searched for it online and discovered this video. This seems easy and nice. I have yarn bundles at home so I will surely try to make this one. Thanks and lots of love to you!!!

do you do a turning chain before each row, or do you just go from the end of one into the beginning of another? i'm doing turning chains, but my "triangles" look more rectangular

so after the 5th row do 5 more but put a decrease
It’s a row of decrease followed by a row of no decrease, repeat row 1 and 2 until you have 10 rows.

Is it normal for the project to twist? Because after row one, making the stitches tight, it just doesn't want to stay flat. I tried to not make the stitches too tight, nor too loose, but she just wants to do her own thing and turn into a twizzler. Am I the only one with this issue? Is there something I'm doing wrong?
