I've started making lemonade daily in the truck, I use a 1 liter bottle of ph balanced Body Armor water minus approximately 3/4 cup, 3/4 lemon juice, 3 teaspoons of Stevia and 1/4-1/3 teaspoon of cayenne powder. It's delicious and I haven't had any digestive issues to speak of since I started.
A bonus has been my BP has been rock steady around 122/78 and pulse rate around 65-70, it normally runs 135/ 85ish , of course both are in conjunction with my Meds. and my Dr. changed my Lopressor from Tartrate to Succinate, the latter being extended release.
Another bonus is my consumption of Coka Cola is almost zilch!
Love your channel and great video, I'm going to give it a shot adding the cayenne, God's speed and have a great, great day!

Your lemonade is going to be how I make it from now on! Never used zest! Looks wonderful.
I'm an old lady now but, if I were in my younger years living in your family back then I would have ran if I saw Mom making lemonade. Having left over lemon rinds would have meant work! I was the laziest youngster! LoL Boy, grew out of that real quick when I got married at 16! I ended up being a hard worker and I also learned use everything too! Hahaha
Thanks for always sharing interesting and great stories and reminding us of our precious Lord and Savior! He is first in my life too! Love you!

I made this today. It was absolutely delicious & the portions were perfect - fresh lemon juice to sugar halved & made in a quart jar. I used my microwave to soften the lemons for 30 seconds & I used a 1 quart jar. I did not do the lemon zest part but I can assure you that if you don't want to fiddle with it either it is still a fantastic recipe. Oh, & I did not serve in frosted glasses because I had neither the glasses required nor the time to do it. I also strained the pulp out because the people I was serving it to would prefer it that way. I promise you that if you follow her directions you will not be disappointed. Serve in a glass full of ice cubes. Recipe saved to my computer. :-) Happy camper! P.S. - She is positively correct in saying that you do not have to make lemonade using the simple syrup method with boiling water. Trust her method!

I always microwave my lemons for 20-30 seconds or so before cutting and squeezing them. It makes them easier to juice and yields more juice per lemon, too.

One of the good things about living in California - we have a big Meyer Lemon tree in my backyard. I'm always juicing them for lemonade. They have a slightly sweeter, "fruitier" flavor that Eureka lemons (what you usually find in the store) don't have. If you can find them I'd recommend them.

I used to have a Meyer Lemon tree when I lived in San Diego. They were so good and so sweet compared to the store bought lemons. It was so great to just walk out the door and pick some lemons. I miss my tree!

    "When Life Gives You Lemons..."
That was the theme for a ladies' retreat I helped organize years ago, my first time helping.
We were sitting around spitballing ideas and I said,
"When life gives you lemons, you can either remain bitter or pour on the sweetness of GOD's Love."
They quoted me and printed it on a bookmark that was included in everybody's welcome packet.
Another aspect of the retreat that I was in charge of was printing the "When Life Gives You Lemons..." Cookbook.
Everybody and their sister submitted recipes, it was filled with sweet and savory recipes and it was a great keepsake for all.

With lemons or any waxed fruit, hot running water will clean it off. I use the vinegar sometimes because it is supposed to help remove pesticides, but I can always taste it a little. I prefer hot running water, no taste and the Bible says use running water to clean. Leviticus 15:13
