Thank you for such useful information. I have lots of clothes but never seem to have the time to just try out how versatile they can be. I am often short of time, going out in a rush, and keeping to the ‘old’ favourites!
Great video. I agree about using accessories to change your look completely. I’m petite, so there are fewer options available, and sometimes I have to compromise by using ok colours rather than my favourites. So scarves and earrings are very helpful.
Great tips thank you Maria, especially your inspiring colour ideas! You look fabulous in that top, I also purchased it and have worn it a lot this summer and always get compliments! 😊
The navy trousers with top worn outside looks way better than the tan trousers the cream ones with the silver accessories look great too. good tip about taking a picture with the outfit on 😊
Absolutely fabulous content! Now I can take one of my tops and explore all the ways I might wear it that I hadn’t thought of! Thank you so incredibly much. You are so generous to share your gifts!
Lots of inspiration in this video; thank you so much! I actually bought a pair of burgundy trousers in the sale and a top that has burgundy and rust in the print; such an unexpected combination, but it works! You gave me more options to wear with the burgundy trousers; I'm quite excited to try them!
When I was losing 50 lbs. I found trousers to be the trickiest items, they can’t be taken in if they have pockets or side zips, which most do. I relied on knit pull-on trousers, they really helped. I didn’t need too many, I wear mostly dresses, followed by skirt outfits. I would love to see some of yours for autumn/winter, you always find such beautiful natural-fiber items. I love the Whistles cotton-knit blazer I bought through your link, I got it in two colors, then went back and bought a third! These are foundational items for my wardrobe and I was able to add two colors and a stripe that I didn’t have. The quality is impressive, I’ll shop Whistles again. As an American, I hadn’t heard of it before.
The Princess of Wales, who always looks fantastic, wore a burgundy trouser suit with a pale pink blouse on her New York City trip last winter. This is a color combination I’ve always loved, too, as well as burgundy and blue or green, with white. Last winter I got a beautiful silk scarf from Aspinal of London which ties together my burgundy and khaki green items, both are important colors in my wardrobe. It was a great addition for me, I don’t know if they still have it. (Pricey, but excellent quality and classic).
I see you haved linked this scarf, I should have watched on a bit! It’s really gorgeous, isn’t it? I love that it has a bit of white (soft white?) in it, too, it keeps it from looking too dark on pale me and pulls in the soft white color if I wear a soft white top or sweater with my burgundy and green items, my favorite❤ top color. Highly recommended scarf!
Thank you that was a very informative video, I’m seventy years young😂 I drive every where I need to go so I’ve gotten a bit lazy about dressing, I love style, I love colour but I just feel that I have lost interest plus the weather here in Ireland can be very off putting, but I enjoyed your video. 😊😊😊❤
Great video thank you. I am new to your site and have looked back on a lot of your previous posts. Can you tell me if you have addressed the topic of ‘back bulges’? Thank you in advance. Joan x
That khaki green is such a versatile color, it goes with so many other colors, including this season’s burgundy, which I love. As a light, cool, soft coloring type, khaki green is maybe not my best color, but it’s not terrible like yellow or orange is. I just try to choose those in the green/gray range, rather than the more yellowish olive green range. I have a lot of khaki green items in my wardrobe. For spring and summer, I really love its slightly lighter version, sage green. I love soft greens with cool toned reds, including burgundy, and pinks. Those with warmer-toned complexions might like it with warmer pinks like peach or coral, even I wear this combination occasionally, these colors look great together. I also love the soft browns and greens together, especially for my “English Country Walk/Ride” looks that I love. I cut all darker colors with white or ivory, usually as a top, so they’re not too strong for my wishy-washy, pale coloring. Love your channel, Maria, thank you for all your great work. The community here is also kind and loving, it’s wonderful, thanks, friends❤
Thank you for your video. It contains lots of interesting facts about the forthcoming autumn colours. I am sorry to say I don’t actually like the sleeveless top you are wearing. As a woman of a certain age, I would never ever expose my arms.
I absolutely love all the Fall colours!
Me too!
I'm definitely adding some burgundy to my wardrobe this year.
Perfect!
That really is a hero top. So good that it can be styled in multiple ways. I will look out for something similar.
Yes it’s been brilliant 🤩

Glad it was helpful! When you do have a bit of spare time do some outfit planning and take photos so you have them when you are next in a hurry 👍

Hi Maria. Thank you for all your tips. Hope you are ok now and you had a good holiday. 🌷🌷
Thank you so much I’m feeling back to my positive self 😘
I purchased the top and Whistles trousers, I've had so much use for both, and wearing the top the other way around as you suggested once.
Great to hear!

Brilliant and INSPIRATIONAL> cant thank you enough. Such good and clever advice. XX
You are so welcome 😘
I was waiting for you to combine your top with a long sleeved button-up shirt (white, probably). I think that would look good too.
I tried it but it’s too close fitting to the body and also because of the holes it didn’t work 👍
Excellent video with lots of good info. I enjoyed looking through all the links too. Thanks😊
Glad it was helpful!
I never used to have a problem and now feel frustrated with clothes. Perhaps I have too many! Nice to watch how you do it though, thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Lots more to come
Great video Maria. Love all the outfit ideas and looking forward to wearing burgundy this autumn.

Glad you enjoyed it. That’s the great thing about fashion and style we all have different tastes. I like my shoulders so want to show them off 👍
Me either, but she has nice arms.
