Barr’s is a Scottish soft drink company. Their most famous soft drink is Irn Bru which is referred to as Scotland’s other national drink! 🏴🏴
barr in scotland is usually juice we'd get at the cornershop its a cheeper brand I have a bottle of there lime drink just now they do lemonade pinappleade, orangeade, cherryde, raspberryade, limeade, bubblegum, red cola, irnbru cream soda, they where always at kids partys growing up. they do raspberry ripple now too they taste best ice cold
Barr are a Scottish soft drinks company, the make Irn Bru, Scotland is the only country in the world where coke is not the top soft drink, it’s irn bru
That Capri Sun flavour seems to be a German exclusive one. Capri Sun is actually a German company. But there are about 4 flavours available in the UK. One thing to try with the cream soda and I don't know if you have it in Canada, I think they do it in the States but might not be with Cream Soda. Is an Ice cream float. Scoop of Ice cream in a glass of Ice cream soda. And their are literally more Pop (soda) companies in the UK than you can shake a stick at. It's like the craft breweries there are lots of them making non alcoholic drinks as well.
Our drinks market is dominated by the big players, coca cola, pepsi and schweppes. Barr and Britvic are the only really british ones. Barr in scotland basically propped up by scotland's national drink irn bru (this won't change) and Britvic stuff is mainly sold in pubs.
Barrs are best known for producing Irn Bru, probably the favourite drink of Scotland. The kinder critics of Irn Bru say it tastes like fizzy bubble gum...the less kind say scented drain cleaner! Personally I like the stuff well enough, but don't actually tend to drink much in the way of fizzies, so wouldn't buy it regularly, though when I was a kid Cream Soda was very much my favourite.
Yeah we could see it easily going both ways but we enjoyed it! We try to stay away from a lot of fizzies too but we’d definitely be inclined to pick that up again! Thank you so much for watching and the comment!! ✌️
We have other soda companies, but Barr has some of the more iconic specific UK brands (Tizer, Irn Bru, etc). Come to think of it, I do like their Dandelion and Burdock as well (though would be hard pressed to pick which I prefer between Barr and Ben Shaw's for that)
@@pauleynstone7925 It was definitely a thing in the 90s - it would have been late 90s I think that they did their limited edition non-red flavours of purple, green and... I think orange? (Which were all, naturally, still red in colour), not seen it for donks though, now you mention it...
I used to drink Barr shandy when I was a kid because you were allowed to but it even though it was about 0.5% alcohol! I'm sure I convinced myself I was drunk more than once!
Try Bangladeshi candy and snacks next.Like bombay mix, toast biscuits and dip it in your tea.Try mango bar, potato crackers and try Rubican lychee drink.
Try Indian sweets next and dress up into Indian clothes.Try gulab jamun, try ladoo, jalebi, mango lassi and kulfi it's like ice cream 🍦 you will love it.You can buy these from your local Indian stores.
Barr is an old school cheap low quality soda company it's what more affordable for young school kids who still get parents pocket money hence why it's very cheap and very sweet
Barr are a pritty big soft drinks company. However due to contracts with other companies are rarely sold in big supermarkets they tend to be found in local corner shops. They also make the KA brand which tends to be found in the world food isle in UK supermarkets. Look out for a drink Called Rio when you next order.
Also forgot to Say Coke is the biggest soft drinks brand. In the UK they do loads of brands and hold the rights to Dr pepper. Pepsi is distributed by Britvic drinks in the UK
Just remember Haribo is German and make sweets for all countries. And also Barrs are more popular in the North of England and Scotland. My favourite Barrs drink is Dandelion & Burdock.
Tizer.....ginger ale????? where the hell do you get that from? lol Tizer tastes like Tizer, it's unique. The Haribo's you tried are Halal and the texture is weird. Most haribo are like gummies you are used to. Barr is a Brand but nit the only Brand. Capri Sun is grim.. We do have Mountain Dew but in limited flavours
We’d love to get one going ASAP! Once we get a little bit bigger community going here, we definitely wanna do that so make sure to share this with everyone you know!! 🥰
Bar where I'm at is more common in small corner shops(convenience stores) so it's not regarded that much as a brand but we do have the standard coke Pepsi and other brands bar is a cheaper option in shops so have more varied and slightly wilder flavours.
Haribo is a German company, as is Kinder (Kinder means Children in german) and the Capri Sun Group. Fererro is an Italian company who own Kinder. Oreos are of course American as are M&Ms. It appears that half your British taste test were not British! lol
Fun fact: Kinder is owned by Ferrero (of Roche fame) who also own Nutella. A Bueno is simply a Ferrero Roche in bar form without the hazelnut pieces. And I'm addicted to them! Ferrero also uses nearly a third of the entire world crop of Hazelnuts in their various brands - a quarter of the planet's crop goes to Nutella alone. Ferrero also now own the UK confectionery company Thornton's, if you come across them.
Hey@@BrittandNick, your video was good but I think I'm just still upset that Cadbury got bought out by Kraft and introduced weird "American" stuff. I'll stick to Marmite and IrnBru ;)
So Barr is the cheapest brand for pop . To us vary artificial sugger flavor .. the come in small 20p bottles . Kids love them but it's a very chemical flavour to the adult . Well that's how it is to me .. more carbonate and artificial sweetener then any actual flavour
If the date on those Haribo were 9/20/21 then they weren't for the UK market and so may have been made with different ingredients. (Not a Haribo fan myself so not an expert!!) UK dates are day/month/year so would be 20/9/21. Also, curious here, how do you pronounce nut as you said Nutella as Noootella? I would say nut as in butt?! 🤷♀️
Okay that makes sense! We didn’t even consider that the UK dates might be different! 😝 yeah we pronounce Nutella like “Noo-tella” but you’re right, it does look more like it would make the BUTT sound!!

The Cadbury melts are supposed to be microwaved for a few seconds - it takes them to a whole new level.

Your right the stuff in a crunchy is called honeycomb
Or to go by its traditional name... Cinder Toffee.
Goto try dandelion and burdock flavour pop's
Lemonade in the uk is clear and chemically tasting. Traditional lemonade in the UK is just the juice from lemons mixed with sugar.
I think Barr is a Scottish brand of drinks but you can get them all over uk
Real ingredients is the key to a good flavour crisp. Nothing artificial.
My opinion is Oreos are meh. 😊
Agreed. The filling is just nasty. Oreo Mcflurries are pretty nice though.
Never seen Capri Sun other than orange here (UK), purple sweets aren't grape, they are blackcurrant.
Barr are a Scottish soft drinks company, the make Irn Bru, Scotland is the only country in the world where coke is not the top soft drink, it’s irn bru
Oh wow that’s interesting!! Irn Bru was delicious, maybe even better than coke! 😉
@@BrittandNick let's hope it doesn't spread... There just aren't enough iron girders around to make that much Irn Bru!
The capri sun kola is from Germany I had it growing up there but I'm in England now and we don't have it here
Barr’s is one of our cheaper carbonated drinks. I love the sherbet taste of their lemonade.
Yasss that's my fave lemonade Purley for the taste haha
*we do have Mountain Dew in the UK but it's not particularly widespread.
Also it's recommended to microwave the Crunchy melts for 5-10 seconds
That Twix bar I’ve never seen in the UK. We do have Mountain Dew in the UK. If the drinks are chilled they would probably taste better.
White bueno is the one, best chocolate bar by far!
the bottle of RED is red kola, based on a sweet we have here which is kola cubes..... hey from Yorkshire
Ohhhh very interesting! We’ll have to keep our eyes out for kola cubes for a future video! Thank you so much kerrie, and a hello from Toronto! ✌️
I have never seen that Capri sun. We get just fruit ones.
Most of our lemonade is clear but we have cloudy lemonade too but it’s normally not as fizzy.
We have a different brands of fizzy drink. We have brands like Rubicon, Ribena, coca-cola, sprite, lilt, tango, Fanta etc.
and they ain't all bars i am Scottish btw
Sprite is 👌 not sure if it's made in Britain tho

They have Dr pepper in the UK
Try English candy floss

That’s awesome!! Thank you for the support and we promise we’ll keep pumping out some goodies!! 😉
We don't do grape here it was blackcurrant that you had.
Yeah thankfully we’ve had a lot of people correct us on that, we don’t actually have blackcurrant in Canada! (or at least it’s not as popular)
You must try Galaxy or Lindor chocolate( lots of flavours) delicious! There is no honey in Crunchie or in our various chocolate bars.
To answer your question, yes, the M&M biscuit bar and the Twix Top one are both made by the same company, Mars. Loving your videos :), just subscribed
Mountain dew is banned in Europe because it contains dangerous ingredients

Barr are a cheap brand that you might find in ice cream vans or corner stores.
Look up this with them. They do candy/snack boxes either as one off or a subscription. Also follow their RUclips channel.
We actually were sent a box of UK sweets from This With Them!! We tried it in a few of our other videos 😝
A crunchie bar has honeycomb not sponge toffee.
Try the cookies warm its always a good idea to read packages
We have lots of company Coke, Pepsi Schweppes and San Pellegrino to name a few Barr hoover do have a lot of really nice drinks.
A lot of best jelly sweets have been ruined because they've made them vegan. They must be cheaper to make because they've done it to all our jelly's.

You can get Panda, Vergin, Whites and many more
