    to me its all comes down to whether or not you have enough space to display your figures. if you have small room and small shelfs, buy crane figures, maybe throw in some ichiban kuji figures for some contrast. I have small shelf so i mix both crane and ichiban figures, 80:20 ratio. I think that its the best for starter, from there you can adjust and customize to your liking

    • @MatchesPeaches
      @MatchesPeaches  Год назад +1

      That’s a good point however crane figures on bases tend to take up more shelf space than Kuji

    • @tienquangtran3455
      @tienquangtran3455 Год назад +1

      @@MatchesPeaches true cuz crane figures use more dynamic poses so the bases have to be big to hold the figures. I guess thats the reason why i like to mix both types, to have more contrast

      This was going to be my comment. Great point. I currently have a mixture.

    • @Treet246

      @@MatchesPeachesI think it depends on the line. I know for Naruto, the Vibration Stars line with the dynamic poses take up a lot of space

    • @MatchesPeaches

      @@Treet246 most bases do. Some series like Clearise or Solid Edge Works are exceptions since they don’t carry a base

    One thing that really pisses me off is that before a few years ago , we used to have amazing prize/crane figures with soooo much difference brands/makers and a lot of more variety of characters figures like for the budokai tenkaishi crane figures we used to have ox-king , chichi , goku farming and etc , that really looked amazing with a lot of shading and sculpture quality, and a lot of brands like grandista , maximatic , DXF , WCF and etc , and look at it now literally all we are getting mostly of the time are mediocre figures with poor sculpture quality and almost no shading at all and literally only have a few figures brands like only : BoS , solid edge works, GxMateria , match markers and history box , like really only that , I wish we could get all those amazing figures back :(

    My first ever figure was the Goku from Battle of Z collectors edition which then lead me to Master star piece as they matched up. I never knew they fell into crane figures with all these other ones.

    I have the full set of majin vegeta and trunks before buu fight crane king and dragon ball vs existence ichibansho
    Both really good and of high quality
    I don’t think they differ as much in terms of quality but I can’t testify on other figures.
    I do however saw that the parallel dramatic showcase figure of goku and Gohan vs cell seems much worse in pictures and the vs existence one.
    To each their own

    thanks to you because of u i stopped playing crane and start buying ichiban kuji. crane prize is just too small, and price almost the same here if i buy from local japanese third online market. ive spend like $1000++ now 🥵

  • @DJCC2590
    @DJCC2590 Год назад

    I can understand why some people cant get Ichiban Kuji or Sho figures. I mean some are $100+. Lowest are usually around $50. For 1 figure. People can find crane figures for much cheaper and get multiple for the price of 1 Sho. Especially if they shop at places like Ross. They go for $10-15.
    Ichibansho isnt for everyone because of the price. Money is tight these days. And even when I was a kid no way my mom had it to spend $75 on a figure.

    • @MatchesPeaches
      @MatchesPeaches  Год назад

      Times are changing though. Many Sho are $30-40 now on the low end. I think people need to look at the pricing before making a decision.

    Its pronounced “Ee chee ban”
    Not itchy ban
    In Japanese, pronunciation could completely change the meaning of a word, or make a word nonexistent.
