When I first saw the movie, the egg scene scared the hell out of me, couldn't sleep that night.
This is so cool. It looks so lifelike.
Wow you guys did an awesome job on the alien eggs so realistic Amazing Art work & Sculptures of the xenomorph etc.
These things are the definition of 'fleshy'. Considering they weren't using actual animal entrails or offal these did look very good with the technology available to them 20 years ago.
I personally prefer these to the eggs in Covenant.

I’m not sure about Alien resurrection but in Alien (1979) they did use animal parts such as goat intestines and the pacing of cow stomach.

Each one of those eggs would be sculpted, casted in silicone, painted… and that’s before any mechanical parts are put in. Each egg would probably cost thousands of dollars. And they wouldn’t be made for weather. So yeah, not gonna happen.

These designs look great. But I disagree with "Active egg". Its supposed to be bio mechanical and this looks a bit too bio now. The first Alien Giger designs nailed the look. And the sound when it releases gas or whatever. It feels dangerous, strong and sturdy.
+daveruda They are 100% "bio" because an alien had to lay those eggs. They were not created by aliens to hold face huggers.

it moves because the director wanted the eggs in this movie to be more organic, not robotic like in the other movies. i think that was a bad idea because the aliens are supposed to be biomechanical, not fully organic. you could use the excuse that because the aliens have some of ripley's DNA that they became more organic, but i think its just kind of stupid... Resurrection was a bad movie anyway IMO lol

I have to say, that this scene in the movie must be one of the most simple acting jobs ever. All you have to do is ask men and women to be restrained into a booth with a facehugger egg. They just have to keep their eyes closed.
It's that simple! That's all they have to do. After that, you can get paid and go home.
What a simple part in the movie to play.

These aliens dont need an egg really. You just step on to an unknown flower and you sniff the pollen that comes out of it and walla instant alien comes out in your body.
But this facehugger is a scary aspect of the movie, and remember, this is a *horror* movie
