Why does the april fools updates seem more expansive than the regular ones?
Yeah it looks like they only work for this ones, i mean we have had at leats 2 april fols dimensions update but other dimensions never

The most unbelievable factor is none of the crazy absurd ideas. Is the fact that Mojang would be CAPABLE of delivering all of that in one blow.
they can. they just prefer to release a couple features at a time in snapshots to keep its engaging and fix issues as they go, instead of all at once then having a big pile of issues to fix
I wish this was a real update. It is so cool. So sad that it won't see the light of day except the specific snapshot

Really depressing to know Mojang CAN add massive updates, they either don't want to because they know they are too big to fail or can't due to oppressive pipeline construction. Either way it just makes me sad
yeah its really easy to make a big update when you can just make whatever you want and it doesn't have any limits or quality lol

I FEEL YOU. I had my hopes up and joined with all my friends to play the new dimension. But only to realise that we got NOTHING! Just furniture and armor, NOTHING ELSE!!
Seriously, Mojang, why did you do this to us bedrock players..
for the boss, once he goes invincible he'll spawn a type of mob (first one I think is chickens) where the boss was first spawned in, once you kill the chickens you can damage the boss again, this cycle repeats with a bunch of different mobs
I use potatoes for an oven XP bank, so I'm unironically overflowing with poisonous potatoes and would love to have a use for them lol
First off, how tf is Mojang spending more time and effort on an APRIL FOOLS update than the actual updates. (Cause let's be honest it definitely takes more effort to create a new dimension)
Secondly, I feel like people would actually rather play this update than the real new 1.21
Because they don’t have to worry about bugs for an update that will only be played for a day;)
Most blocks/items already have vanilla counterparts, so they were able to just copy and paste it. The rest is either fairly easy to make (for a programmer with experience in adding things to minecraft) or has been done many times before in various mods. Most things were added as a joke, without any real reason or thought behind it. I do agree that mojang is getting a little lazy with a few things though
Lol did they? U were there? U know how much effort it is to code a texture pack? Add some jumbled code in there, bugs be damned. It’s not like anybody’s going to be able to use the update in their own world so who cares if it would delete it. You don’t think this took like a few people a couple of days? You don’t know what it’s like having a real job as a real game developer at a real gaming company? This community is exhausting 🙄 is an ignorant, supposed to be bliss? Maybe go outside and touch some grass and be grateful they’re still offering free content at all.

and as a side notes, based on what SlicedLime KingBdogz __i think also jeb__ says on their tweetas or other occasions, April fools day updates was just pouring everything they had in mind while also testing what works and what doesnt and how far the limit of the minecraft engine, and if we think about it not so long after april fools of unlimited dimensions update we have a capabilities to make custom dimensions as datapacks, the other one in 1.16 era theres a block that was later became Deepslate,Tinted Glass and Copper blocks
on the oldest April fools called minecraft 2.0 update they also adds Stained Glass and Horses, those 2 were later added to the game on 1.6 and 1.7 respectively
but yeah i also agreed that in the recent years especially since covid and post 1.17/18 relase cycle they kind of slowed down too much after building too much hype since 1.13. not going to mentions that the milder update we had now is somewhat reminicent of 1.9 ; 1.11 ; 1.12 where the updates was thing nobody asked for adn so is 1.14 where i think the most game breaking bugs,stability both client and server, and unballanced system were all introduced
@@cleverhandle420 "be grateful they’re still offering free content at all." Minecraft's entire business strategy is free content, it would be financially bad for them not to do it. Besides content being free doesn't make it good
I kinda wish this wasn’t an April Fool’s joke but actually got added into the game. Minecraft simply needs lots more content. Yes this upcoming update with the trial chambers, wolf colors, mace, is gonna be major, but we still need lots more content

I’ve been hoarding my Poisonous Potatoes since I made my current world last year, having pondered long and hard. Ive been leaving them as offerings to the unaffiliated cult of the Poisonous Potato, shrines banners the whole shebang. Now it makes sense why a “useless” item was created 😅
I love how they put this much effort into an april fools update but for their next official update they give us a structure and some blocks
I think they don't want to change the core gameplay of Minecraft so they add small updates. When it's April fool's that can do whatever they want.

also again i wonder why they think locking certain thing behind exploration was a good idea? its not like peoples dont want to explore if they dont want to why force it? where the sandbox aspect of Upgrade Tempates? why not lock it behind Piglin trades as a rarest item it can trade on while Bastion Guarantees 1?
As a bedrock player, does that mean we don't get a new biome, dimension and all the cool stuff. They just gave us armour and a new mob? That sucks
It's incredible how people truly prefer this to the official one
i was messing around with the flotater and if you connect them with blocks and power them their speed STACKS. i got like 20 together and was going like 25 blocks per second. It is the new best way to travel. Also, i dont think they have a push limit.
Why didn't you try the rest of the things in Bedrock?
There were many things in Java, but few in Badruk. Why? 🤔

The potato boss summons mobs, kill the mobs of the type it summoned and then you can attack it again
You can build downwards with the floatator blocks
And all I wanted was the ability to use poisonous potatoes in a brewing potion....but fun video silent!

Neither. We have moveable tile entities, and can push dispensers. If you really want "tnt duping" there is end dimension dupes (and probably others).
if you fall into the void in the potato dimension there is a script like when you go back from the end to the over world.
How is the potato dimension more fleshed out than the end and nether?

Really, really disappointed that the 1.21 update features that they announced at Minecraft Live, that we voted on, and that we have been watching get developed over the last few months are all being scrapped at the last minute for this... a Potato Update. I apologize to everyone if Mojang took my suggestion that I left on the website for the Poisonous Potato to get some sort of functionality, but my suggestion was to make it compostable in a Composter... not to be the focus of new blocks, weapons, mobs, and a whole new dimension. I mean, I also left a suggestion on the website that everyone wanted new blocks, weapons, mobs, and a new dimension, but they didn't have to combine these two suggestions into one!!!! Why does Mojang have to be so efficient and fast while implementing suggestions and feedback!!! Can't they go back to being lazy, ignoring the players, ruining the game, and bowing to the corporate wishes of the Evil Microsoft Empire™?!?!?!?
