It has quite an unique feel to it so it is fun to give a try and the difficulty progression isn't too bad so you can keep playing it a while, but yeah, probably not going to play that one soon again.
Yeah, the 8bit computer games were known for their perfect physics simulations ;) If I had not seen a video of this game earlier, I would have guessed it was my task to protect the shp below, not to sink it with burning aircraft wrecks.
I remember seeing this in magazines and thought it looked interesting. Seeing you play it has given me the impression that it's probably quite repetitive and in serious need of gameplay polish.
I don't think it is because of the cracked version. But I can test that. I should have a tape image of it and i could transfer it back to tape and check it. Would take a while since I have to use a completely different setup to transfer to tape.
What a strange idea for sinking a ship; why not just use the plane to attack the ship directly? I think I'll stick to Wings of Fury on the Amiga, although it does have a C64 version.
That's got to be the worst naval air cover in history. Unlimited aircraft fill the sky but they can't stop ONE plane! It's as if Japan attacked Pearl Harbor with one Zero shooting down hundreds of planes and using them as bombs to sink the Pacific fleet!. Of course it's pretty hard to defeat a plane that can fly straight through many of your planes like tissue paper, and dive down into the ocean through the Earth and arrive back in the sky above, in the blink of an eye! So there is that...

I had the same problem quite often. Specially annoying when you start to get the blue planes you can crash into.

Doesn't look too bad. Sure it's fun for a round or two. Funny that you can fly through the ocean but not through the sky.
Good review, c64 has a more dramatic sinking of the battleship, than the amstrad version

Goddamn blue planes of death. The only thing I hated about this game.
