These are the types of storys that people need and are inspiring. Many obstacles and hurdles have been put in this mans way and he kept persevering to win gold. Great how he hadnt been beaten since usman and beat usman with a highlight reel finish and a five round fight to prove he can beat him in more ways than one. Although it was unfair the Champ was overlooked and fought the hard way to get his belt, i do think that has made Rocky into a complete fighter, he has all round skill, means business and turns on his lethal instinct with no emotions inside the cage, huge respect for defending his title, plus a proper inspirational fighter that U.K, Mma younger generations can be proud of and aspire to emulate. Looking back at this, I truely think Tom Aspinall should have being a commentator as an option after he retires. I don’t wish his career to end quickly but injuries can shorten a fighters career extremely quickly and so I feel as though his knowledge of MMA and his genuine love for the sport makes him a good commentator. Plus he sounds extremely educated on the microphone and it just adds that extra layer of believability which any commentator desires to have.
Notice how Leon said hes happy to represent for the UK thats why I like him. Usman never mentioned America it was all about Africa even though hes lived in America since he was 2 years old.
Tremendous defensive counter-wrestling, great kicks which is an under-appreciated skill for shaping a fight rather than just knocking the opponent out.
Tom’s interviewing skills are nothing but phenomenal. Already knew he was very articulate but this was just another great display from him. @BT we need more of this
