i think he would be a good replacement for brooks, once his contract runs out. I think Topic is a better player. As we have pick 3, that kid can really play. clingin will go 2 as wizards literally dont have a centre.
Love the podcast, but I was wondering if there is a way to get locked on sports today from being forced on me, by dropping it into my podcast feed? It's been happening for about a week now. I realize that it may be out of your hands. It'd be one this if it happed once or even a couple of times, but it's starting to get pretty annoying. Maybe show this post to the higher ups at Locked On and let them know its intrusive and rude.
It just make you wonder how much a fan these podcasters are. I never believed Gatlin is a Houstonian because he suggest the worst acquisitions and players that doesn’t make any sense for us. Not only him, but just about all these podcasters that do contents on the Rockets are not even from Houston. It make you wonder how vested the NBA media is to destroy the Rockets organization by posing as fake fans and suggesting the worst players. I was screaming at the top of my lungs last season to draft Cam Whitmore with the 4th pick while fans like Gatlin was so many in numbers drowning out the voices of real Rockets fans wanting Amen over Cam, and Stone, like a stupid idiot, drafted Amen with the 4th pick. Cam clearly outshined Amen and it’s not even close. But the Media did him dirty by denying him a spot on the all-Rookie. Now the Media moving in on trying to suggest the Rockets trade Cam Whitmore -- they have Gilbert Arenas on a podcast talking about Cam don’t fit with the Rockets. And then have KJ Martin’ Dad (Kenyon) talking about the offense need to go through Sengun more. These guys were PAID to say that crap. Nobody in their right mind would say the offense need to go more through Sengun after we just went on a 10+ game winning streak, the biggest we ever had since Harden. And it started right when Sengun went down. It gave us a clear hint that the offense need to go through Green the Guards like FVV and Cam Whitmore. Sengun need is the one that need to be trade. Anyone with a basketball sense can see that. He doesn’t fit. And never will. His style take the ball away from guys that are better offensive threat than Sengun.
@@bobyoung3857 You go bpa. Drafting based on fit is how you pass on luka for ayton "due to fit". Castle is 2nd on my big board and if he drops to 3 I'll be happy.
Same thing I was gonna say we already have that kinda guard/player. We should either draft RISACHER or SHEPPARD if we even keep the pick the injured he second I would strong recommend a back defensive rim protecting type of center.
The Rockets can add shooting through free agency. Another playmaker in the rotation will improve the shot quality for the entire team, especially someone who can attack the rim. I would bet on Stephon staying on the court against the Mavs, Nuggets, Thunder or Wolves over Reed Shepherd as an example. And he elevates their defense, which is the foundation of their defense Stephon is the pick.
Would've been the perfect pick if Amen wasn't picked last year. Will he even work out for the Rockets? He said he's not working out for anyone who has a starting PG. He seems to be trying to avoid the situation that Amen had where he was converted to a 3.
Your comment about who ever Houston drafts is not playing this year stuck with me. It had me thinking that most of the prospects to the Rockets are really going to struggle to fit or find a role on the team. This made me think of a draft prospect that many people don't think would be a fit with Houston. Rob Dillingham. I don't love the fit for several reasons but I do love the idea that the Rockets might be drafting their 6th man electric scorer off the bench. In that regard, I think he has a clearer path to minutes and a defined role as opposed to a lot of other prospects.
I have Castle & Sheppard absolutely equal on my "big board". For the Rockets I might put Sheppard ahead of Castle because of duplication of skills. He does remind me of Amen, so to broaden the skills on the team(we need shooting), I think the Rockets pick Sheppard over Castle. If you go by the "swing for the fences" philosophy you pick Castle but I think the Rockets are desperate for shooting and take Sheppard. If we somehow clear the roster a bit AND pick up a shooter then you draft Castle. I would prefer to trade the #3 pick but I doubt that is happening.

We already have Thompson. Would be like drafting the same player two years in a row. I thought the Rockets said shooting was a priority. Why is Castle being profiled…???
You not going to solve your shooting problems by drafting one shooter in a draft. This guy is a playmaker on both ends and has high potential. We can getting shooting via trade and free agency
@@JeffreyAllen-sy2ti That’s the same draft profile as Thompson. They may not can solve their shooting problems in the draft…but they can definitely help their shooting problems with the draft.

Year and year again who becomes the stars of the draft? It's always a combo guard. Not the 6'2 undersized shooting guard or the rim running big or the lanky shooter who can't self-create his own shot. IT'S ALMOST ALWAYS THE COMBO GUARD. Good pod guys. Madison that was a high powered sales pitch. I gotta stop listening to you on this guy because you are slowly winning me over Lol. FA and trade remain options. if we are looking at taking a swing for high upside this could be the move. plus we don't have to rush him. we have time to groom and develope him at PG. this could be a perfect heir to Fred. a guard rotation of Amen, Jalen and Castle could be top shelf in a couple of years. its unlikely any rookie will crack our present rotation unless he blows us away with his play. that's what makes this pick so great for us.....we don't need it all that badly. we can use it in a lot of ways. the more I think about it we should seek shooting in trade talks. we need someone with a track record of good shooting and not relay on a rookie to fix that for us. we have the non taxpayer mid level exemption, plenty of tradeable contracts and draft picks. we don't have to rely on the draft. that's what makes Castle intruging to me. stash him now to make it greater later?
