Frank is an amazing father. His love shows all over his face. After losing Joe the fact of losing another son has to tear at his heart. We need to see Joe more in every episode

Without a single doubt in my mind, BLUE=BLOODS is without a doubt that best show in it's category for realism and authenticity ever produced on television. This statement comes from this 90 year old viewer who has seen many of these types of entertainment over my many years.

@@officerrebar3839 My life would have been better if my mother had left my abusive, alcoholic father sooner than she did. The reason that single parent home became the norm was because staying in an abusive relationship was no longer acceptable. people look at the old days with rose colored glasses. It became illegal for a husband to "force sex" his wife in 1976. How many children prior to 1976 were the result of a wife being forced to "perform."
I am almost 50 years old and the only thing that has changed is that everyone's dirty laundry is no longer hidden. I am old enough to have met many good standing people who are nothing but scum. Racism never went away, it is just recorded by cell phones. Things have always been as bad, it was just hidden. With cell phones, cable news, the internet the real world is being shown as it is.
I think you need to look deeper. It is not the Sunday dinners, it is the respect they have for each other. They disagree all the time, but they respect each other. If there was no respect, then these dinners would make things worse for all of them.
Amen to that !! During 2 years of the pandemic with locked downs, I got back my Sunday dinners at my house. Kids grew up , left home, they would come over on Sundays for dinners then life for them got busy. Now, we got back to the rhythm of Sunday dinners with us and I LOVE ❤️ that. If we skip a week, they are calling me, what time is dinner on Sunday …they don’t want to skip more than a week. We decompress and share life teachable moments over dinners .
The family that prays together and are counting their blessings are the ones that will remain respectful of each other and will endure the joys of Family love and care .
It's also about the sports fanatics who insist on Sunday games instead of church. I was raised by single Mom..we always had Sunday dinner after church with grandparents.

I would love to see an episode where the Reagans would enjoy a Broadway musical one night. Perhaps if they saw "Sweeney Todd" on Broadway, it would be cool, in a way, because Len Cariou was the first Sweeney Todd on Broadway. Could you imagine hearing Henry Reagan singing the haunting song "My Friends"?
@amandanies3174 3:57 they did an episode (season 2, Episode 15 "The Life We Chose") where Henry and Nicky do a duet singing the song "I Don't Need Anything But You" from the Broadway musical "ANNIE". Both actors are Broadway vets, so it was wonderful seeing the old generation with the new, along with the genuine love, and respect, for each other on and off screen. 🎭💞

Blue Bloods, what a show, what a family. I have watched the Reagans since season 1, episode 1, all the family dinners and of stories of the wonderful police no matter city, state, or country. We all need this Family, so many more stories, we need them. The world needs this family. I hope the CBS higher ups figure out how much the world need this program. Wake up CBS... I binged all 13 seasons recently. Sad to see season 14 will be the last, but I will make sure to watch every episode, as I have all the others.

I love this show. It teaches so much about the real life and what makes it so special! I grew up with evening dinner around the dinner table with my siblings and mother and daddy! I was truly blessed!

The absolute best show on TV now, maybe ever! Family dynamics, especially at the Sunday table,as well as the work dynamics make this the best. No smut, just a view of a family in a sometimes dangerous occupation, and how much they care about each other and other's. Tom Selleck plays it like a master, just seems to be Commissioner Reagan, but most importantly DAD.
Don’t think I have watched a better sitcom than Blue Bloods….just great writing, integrity, honesty, loyalty is displaced throughout with great actors that we have seen in the past, but no so much today….going to miss the show and can’t seemed to find any other of this magnitude except Longmire that ran its course.
Blue Bloods isn't a sitcom though. It's a police procedural. Sitcom means situation comedy. Think Young Sheldon, or Malcolm in the Middle.

That seems to be the trajectory he's on. Annoying idealist at first, then slowly understands the World is darker than he realised (even as a lawyer), so he'll be the 'Conciliator Commissioner'.

So glad it’s come to the final season. Maybe now they’ll consider bringing back “ East New York”. Their story lines weren’t diverse enough and their cops weren’t ever wrong.
All I can say, as one of the "rescued class," who on TWO occasions has literally owed his life to "brothers in blue" (no, I'm not "on the job" but "friends" doesn't quite fit.) seeing an officer hurt, even fictionalized, is difficult. To see them all as Jamie's wheeled out is a tear jerker. To those who wear the shield ~ Merry Christmas and may it ALWAYS be a CALM, QUIET, and dare I say BORING shift!!!
The set is history. I'm never watching CBS again.

I so love this show, I watch the reruns. Sunday dinners are amazing especially saying grace. Reminds me of family dinners when growing up.

I loved this show. It is the only drama on ANY network or stream that I watch. I read that it takes hours to film the Sunday Dinner scenes. So for continuity and in order to not eat too much, Tom Selleck always just butters his rolls! I watched it and he does!

Can anyone believe that this show is cancelled? I’ve read the actors all want to continue as it is still rated 1 of the top 3 shows and yet the network has to destroy a great program that delivers a great message! FAMILY!
Is there anything better than Blood Bloods? I hope they don't shorten this season. Tom Selleck is not a spring chicken and neither is his "father". Time is running out on these two so as many episodes as possible need to be put in the can before we lose either of these two actors. Even if they don't show a full season's episodes, they have to complete as many as possible.....for the future. When the show ends, we will have great reruns to watch again and again!

I'm in NZ and love this show. Fantastic acting and story lines. As a Father and Grandfather there have been countless episodes where I have been in tears, this show when it ends will be very hard to beat. I too am a massive Tom Selleck fan, and loved the Jesse Stone series.
Jamie's salute was more A-J Squared away than Franks.
Frank doesn't know how to salute.

This scene, I think it's absolutely great. But I think what they could have added in, was maybe Jamie slips into a coma for a bit, frank visiting him while hes in a coma, frank talking to his wife & his son joe, while praying after his surgery, and they are sitting around the table, & he walks in with crutches and a cane. Also I think they should of had Danny's other son Jack, Erin's daughter Nicky, Baez & Anthony there, they should have made it a bbq cookout scene outside.

This has been a great series. I wonder how long it will continue? NCIS was a series I really enjoyed but after so many left the show I lost interest. And after Mark Harmon left....I quit watching it all together.

This is the last season for it is going off the air when this season is finished. I am so upset about that. It's my favorite show on TV. Thank God for reruns.

CBS should do a Blue Bloods prequel. Go back to when Frank was a beat cop or detective, Henry was the commissioner and the kids were, well, kids. It would be a chance to get to know Frank’s wife, Henry’s wife and Joe. It’s a no brainer.
