I am still angry with the writers for giving us a pathetic view if the Jamie and Eddie wedding. The cast was all dressed up. Including the bride. It should have been a whole episode but was treated like an after thought. Awful.
Because romance is an afterthought for the entire show, that plus a big royal wedding had just happened and producers were like “yeah there is no way we can compete with the ultimate Catholic church wedding” I don't really blame them tbh especially when the romantic scene is not even something that the show focuses on, seriously in 14 years I think that there less than five date scenes in the show.
I think blue bloods is an amazing show. But those vows are unrealistic and baseless in every sense of the word. Cops who date each other should never work together. It's a very dangerous hazard and can cause many distractions during the job. You could miss something happening nearby because dating cops were arguing about something that happened last night or the other day. I can put civilians at risk of harm and leave these two dating cops open to multiple lawsuits that the city would have to clean up. It's too risky. They need to work in separate departments for all safety reasons.
Most agencies have policies in place that prevent married or even dating couples from working together or even in the same District or Division, regardless of the shift.
@@joeydevore5891they ultimately don't stay working together. Eventually Jamie gets promoted and then goes to a different division so that Eddie is not in his chain of command, though they do remain at the same precinct.
