Is that a long shaft motor? Just bought a built 40 hp Tohatsu 2 stroke 20 inch long shaft and a manual on the fly Jack plate. I’m hoping I can mount the motor high enough up on the Jack plate so I can get the RPMs necessary but I’m a little skeptical.
yeah it was a long shaft. The tiller was way up in the air so I recently switch to a short shaft, much more practical and comfortable but I did run the long shaft for years without any issues
I had the shop add extra glass when they built it, but a lt25 can hold the weight no problem. You just need to know what you’re doing as things can go wrong quickly at speed.
Heading back from picking up a 2000 Yamaha 40 2 stroke for my lt25. Your videos are awesome man thanks for the content
I have a stick steer with a 50hp! Too much fun

Did you beef up the transom to carry that big of a motor? I just bought a new LT 25 Raptor with a 20hp Tohatsu, which is nice but faster is better

@@fishfarmers-videos I grew up on bass boats, speed is no problem.
