- Happy Tuesday friends! Wow that felt so weird to say. I’m sorry for the late video but hopefully it won’t disappoint! Today’s video is an exam study vlog for my upcoming med surg exam. I have one more exam afterwards, in woman’s health, before finally getting a break for Thanksgiving. School is flying by yall! I don’t know about you guys, but I am so ready for the semester to be over!

Hi! It's so nice finding a fellow nursing student just starting out on youtube! You were one of the people that inspired me to start even though I've been wanting to for a long time. I'm really curious as how to study with your textbook. Do you use it all the time or only for clarifications and such?
Yaaay im glad you started your channel! I hope you receive lots of love and support ♥️ this semester, ive definitely been using the textbook a lot more for studying in med surg! We usually do case studies during lecture so the textbook is where I learn the material. Whereas in womans health, our lectures are very straightforward so I never need to look in the texbook for more info! I guess it just depends on classes/profs 😅

Do you have any tips for studying for exams like the NCLEX style questions ? I feel like there is just so much information and I don’t know where to start often times.
Do you mean the priority and select all that apply questions? 😂 those are actually the worst!! For me, it really just comes down to reading the answer choices & doing process of elimination. If I can justify part of an answer choice as wrong, then I can cross it off immediately. If it’s a priority question, I usually think about ABC (airway, breathing, circulation). If a question says “requires further teaching” then I look for wrong answers. I know nclex-style questions are tough & I’m by no means an expert! I think practice questions would be helpful!
