    What is Multiple Sclerosis ❓
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a potentially disabling disease of the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system). In MS, the immune system attacks the protective sheath (myelin) that covers nerve fibers and causes communication problems between your brain and the rest of your body. Eventually, the disease can cause permanent damage or deterioration of the nerves. Signs and symptoms of MS vary widely and depend on the amount of nerve damage and which nerves are affected. Some people with severe MS may lose the ability to walk independently or at all, while others may experience long periods of remission without any new symptoms. There's no cure for multiple sclerosis. However, treatments can help speed recovery from attacks, modify the course of the disease, and manage symptoms.

I have been getting this feeling, it’s great to know others understand. It’s strange it does make me chuckle as I spent my teens having a few Proseccos to feel like this 😊🙏

I have and then I leaned into it and felt like I left my body and it felt great compared to the pain and pressure in my body from the MS. This summer I have been feeling like my skin is vacuum sealing me and the pressure hurts so it was awesome to feel weightless for a moment! lol sending you love!

I told my dr today that I was feeling this. I have been struggling to get anwsers for my symptoms for awhile now. I am 99.9% sure I have MS but I've found every doctor is hesitant to confirm the diagnosis even with several symptoms and even having an obvious bright spot on my MRI which originally was labeled a tumor but now has changed shape (meaning it likely is a lesion not a tumor). It's like they don't want to admit their original diagnosis was incorrect. I am so tired saying I am not well and feeling ignored.

That’s got to be disconcerting. I sometimes feel like I’m free-falling through space. I can feel whatever I’m resting on (feet, chair, bed) but that doesn’t mitigate the falling feeling.

Wow yes you nailed it I tried to explain it to my hubby and my ms team but I don't think they understand .. if you dint mind may I use your words to explain the sensation .. if I can't see my feet I I can't tell where I am like a floating sensation it's like my brain can't tell me where my feet are on the ground because I can't feel my feet touching the ground underneath me so when I get up I would look at them as I get up ..I get dizzy but most of the time I feel Mt head is in a big fish bowl..which how I explain dizziness and the experience with not feeling my feet

There is a spot in your brain that tells you where you are spatially...so it sounds like that is what is causing it-not sure if you asked for a MRI to see if you have something going on in that area or have had in the past-

Dear seb i felt that today. Ive been in a wheelchair ths week because of a devastating relapse. I thought the dizziness was no there so i tried walking while being held but i felt like my legs couldnt carry my weight and got lightheaded i reached to the nearest couch and sat then i started like tilting. Like the beginning of a vertigo attack. I have several cerebellar lesions and cervical ones and now that i have infevtions my symptoms r so bad that i get dizzy when i move my head in all directions. I have severe anxiety when i get dizzy and start shaking. Whether its from a relapse or a chronic symptom from ur experience are there meds for vertigo? Im hoping its jst an accute attack...i have ear pain as well and a fever but the ent cant find anythng in my ear🤷‍♀️ i woke up to an earthquake feeling today..heavy head pressure nausea and severe dizziness

sounds like your had a blood pressure drop. also your brain reacted and forgot you had legs. so you literally didnt know you had legs and feet. I have had similar in STEP UP syndROME, where you are walking normally then suddenly your leg STEPS UP LIKE YOUR BRAIN thinks there is a step in front of you lol.
