  • The video entitled Adenium Repotting in Monsoon if Urgently Necessary (Extra Precautions are Must) shows in which conditions we have to repot our adenium plants and what extra precautions we should take if we have to repot our desert rose plants in monsoon. Here we have discussed seven extra precautions that are must while repotting adenium plant. We have also shown the cause behind every precaution.
    Adenium repotting time or adenium repotting season is spring and summer in general. But sometimes our desert rose urgently needs to be repotted in rainy season. This season is not so favorable to adenium trees. Herein lies the importance of the extra precautions during repotting adenium tree.
    The headings of 7 precautions are :
    No. 1. Quick Drainage Potting Mix
    No 2. Drainage Holes of the pot
    No 3. Cut the damage Part
    No 4. Protect the cut area
    No. 5. Dry in Shade
    No.6. When to water
    No. 7. Wait for a week
    So friends, this video is all about the precautions we should take during repotting adenium plant in rainy season. Broadly speaking this video covers a very important part of adenium care. Examples shown in the video are repotting adenium obesum,repotting adenium bonsai and big adenium repotting. If you like this video, please drop a like and make comments.

    This video came at the right time. I have a pot with extremely poor drainage and was contemplating to repot since it’s raining here almost every day. I think I know now what needs to be done. Also, I’m thinking of coco chips. What’s your thoughts around coco chips?

    • @dotbasecamp
      @dotbasecamp  4 года назад +1

      Coco chips contain coco fiber and coco peat. So it may be used. But only coco peat should not be used in monsoon. It retains moisture in heavy amount. Mind that coco chip contains no nutrient element. Rather it may contain sodium chloride salt if not processed.

    After a week of adenium air dry & ready to be planted ..did you use moist soil or was it dry?

    • @dotbasecamp
      @dotbasecamp  3 года назад +1

      Moist soil is generally used. Dry soil is used if any big root is cut. Then water after 3 days.

    What are the reason for yellowish leaf for adenium plant? And what is remedy?

    • @dotbasecamp
      @dotbasecamp  3 года назад

      1. Natural riping ( it falls by a gentle touch), 2. Root rot ( Repotting after cutting the rotten root) 3. Defeciency of micro nutrient ( check your feeding )

    Hello, I use rooting hormone on my adenium cuttings and mist them once every three days. However, they all seem to go hollow, rot, and die. Do you have any suggestions?

    • @dotbasecamp
      @dotbasecamp  4 года назад

      I think there is no problem with the rooting hormone and misting is fine. Now the problem might come either from cuttings or from the medium.Check : 1. cuttings should be sterilized with fungicide and dried in shade for 24-48 hours. 2. Medium should also be sterilized and kept slightly moist.

      @@dotbasecamp Okay I'll try that next time. Does the size of the cutting matter?

What should I do.....? Please help ...soil mix r all so same as u so .... & All plant growth very well...what is the problem! I'll transplant in shallow pot

    • @dotbasecamp
      @dotbasecamp  4 года назад +1

      You write "" in this summer ''. Is it summer at your place ? If so check watering. Most probably your plants are suffering from under water. Over water may also be the cause.

    My adeniums leaves are becoming yellow & falling after repotting

    • @dotbasecamp
      @dotbasecamp  4 года назад

      I think there is nothing to worry about. It`s for repotting stress. Don`t water plants without leaves. Only keep the soil moist by sprinkling water.

    You have added perlite but it is not seen in your media, confused

    • @dotbasecamp
      @dotbasecamp  4 года назад

      The footage where Fungicide is being mixed was taken before mixing perlite. So you can not find perlite in the media.

  • @phoebedubria8036
    @phoebedubria8036 4 года назад

    What is perlite that you mix in the soil?

    • @dotbasecamp
      @dotbasecamp  4 года назад

      Perlite is a volcanic glass used as an soil amendment or alone as a germination medium, medium for hydroponics or for starting cuttings. It has low water retention capacity and helps quick drainage and prevents soil compaction.
