On 1 January 2024 the Royal Cardboard Fleet and the RM Fleet declared war on each other. At the start of the war The Royal Cardboard Fleet had the cruiser Hamsire and the battleship Lord Nelson available. Another battleship, the Hindustan was being build and neurally ready for action. The RM Fleet had two cruisers, the Salem and Chester available and the two battleships Kentucky and Illinois.
The Salem started it's raiding mission on 1 January 2024 and sank two enemy merchant ships. The Royal Cardboard Fleet converted one of it's merchant ships into an armed merchant ship. On 22 January the Salem intercepted merchant ship Union and engaged.

At the moment battleship Sao Paulo is being build. Plans for other wooden ships are still on the drawing board. They take a while to build and need to be build outside. It was extremely rainy the past few months, that caused further delays to the Soa Paulo.

i'd like to ask how long does the construction of a battleship take and how the cannons work.
Building and painting a cardboard battleship, could be done in 1 day, but it takes longer if you do not build continuously. Usually it takes 1 or 2 weeks, since I am not building the whole day and not every day . Here is a video how to build the cannons: ruclips.net/video/YcoWK9xGnaQ/видео.html

I'm currently making my WW1 USS Texas with the cage masts. Any ideas how to make it?
Great project! With wooden sticks (the thin ones people use for barbeque) you can build the cage masts. Draw a circle on the deck an the platforms. Then push the sticks evenly spaced through the carboard or drill holes in wood, if it is a wooden ship.
