You might be surprised to know that the current generation trumps the 2010 in every way including handling. Surprisingly. You nailed the end, too... "reminds you why you want to be alive"
Great job Smo. Your reviews are best described with one word: Professional. You provide so much information, and opinions as if you actually own the bike. Fantastic. The Aprilia is absolutely bad ass!
Its a pleasure to see you having a go at a bike that normally wouldn't come to mind. However, after this, im thinkin I should leave a spot for this one in the ole noggin. Thanks for the vid, ride safe as always.
Smo, my man, I love your ride & review videos. Your production quality has really shot up lately, and that's saying something because it was really good to begin with. I just watched a ride & review video you made almost exactly one year ago (the Speed Triple) and as good as that was, I especially liked how you had the beat of the song synced to the video visuals, this one is on a whole new level. I'm glad you managed to go to the Atlanta meetup this year and hang out with Chase and some of the other guys here in the states because otherwise I would probably never have found this channel!
This was, quite possibly, the best review I have seen of that bike. In fact, your review is better than the motorcycle magazine pro's work. Now, if only you could do a used CBR600F4I... :)
you have a way with words. Love your reviews. I think you and C2W needs to work to together again bike ride reviews. You two are the best on RUclips when it come to product reviews.
YES SMO!!! THE TUONO IS THE KEY !!! Lovely review man, pure gold again! The V4 is to die for... Next bike when I can make it happen will be the Tuono...
I was on a 2016 on Valentine's day in Chicago it felt light as a butterfly and was COMFORTABLE for me. This bike felt like it was fucking molded for my body. All the mags say this bike has a high seat height. I don't know what I can trust now because The Super Duke is barely too tall for me. Yet this bike was PERFECTO!
man ive been watching your videos for a couple of months now and this one really takes the cake the shots editing and commentary this is your best work so far good job man keep it up
no questions that bike is amazing and probably one of only sportbikes I'd wanna own given half the chance but the fact a brand new one costs nearly 20 grand kinda puts most people of I reckon. No denying though its a true thing of beauty!
Validation that the RSV4 for which I drool is less superior as an all around daily bike to the Street Triple R I already have. Loved the review. Thanks SMO.
I stopped the video at 00:55 to just say - did you corner Chase when you were in Atlanta and be like " alright bruh, show me how you do those preliminary shots on the first ride videos" and I mean that with the utmost respect- that beginning was dope as fuck dude.. your shots and editing are on point brother- awesome shit to watch- thank you!!
Bloody good video and review. Sports bikes definitely ain't going no where, it's just that more and more naked bikes are being released with the power, performance and actual comfort that make you think twice about purchasing an out and out sports bike.
Excellent review mate, it's a very professional job... That bike is gorgeous, I still kick myself for missing my test ride of it, but the Tuono is an awesome bike too :-)
Great review Smo! I am very happy with how great your reviews are becoming. Your island setting is a bit restrictive for such a powerful bike, but review, editing, panning etc are spot on. Perhaps some tweaking with the level of the background music may be in order when you talk but that is my personal preference :) The Tuono is the connoisseur's choice without a doubt...
As always great review dude... As my Daughter just said the review reminded her of a top gear review.. which is a win win man... Great video work as well man.. love it..
Brilliant video Sir Smo, almost like an interview for a job at Bikeworld ;) Each question I though of you pretty much answered during the video but I'll let you know what they were. 1. RSV4 or Panigale? 2. Comfort over a longer period? 3. What about a Tuono 1100? (Watch this space I guess)
I think it comes down to taste with regard to the RSV4 vs the Panigale. They're both excellent. I'm leaning towards Aprilia though. On the new RSVs the comfort is apparently improved (the tank ridges are less pronounced so I'm told). Can't wait to ride a Tuono!
blimey, it's like jumping into the cockpit of the millennium falcon and making the jump to light speed. I guess you would need to be a certain sort of rider to get the very best out of it though, one mistake and it could all get out of shape rather quickly
Yeah that'd be cool I was more cuious about how you transported a dolly on a motorcycle hahaha! then realised it was a smaller one. pretty cool. defo want one
If I wasn't having to sell my body to make dosh to eat, I'd be all over this. I was wondering the whole video if you'd mention the tuono. I think it'd be the perfect mix of what you want. Good edit btw, your videos have been really good recently! Kiss me.
Smo your comment re the Tuono - I've owned a Street TR then a Speed TR and now a 2014 Tuono - get yourself a ride on one of those, it will be interesting to hear what you think
mrsparkyaprilia- Hey man, just wanted to say thanks! Watching your videos a couple years ago is part of the reason I fell in love with Aprilia. You were the first moto vlogger I started watching before I even knew what moto vloging was lol. Now I finally own a 09 RSVR and couldn't be any happier! (until maybe i get a RSV4 RF..) just wanted to say thanks!
How do the power delivery and handling compare to the 2016 1050 speed triple I know it's a full-on supersport and triumph is a super naked but I'd like to hear your thoughts on the comparison.
The RSV4 obliterates it in every sense of the word. That said, the RSV4 is very full-on, and considering that the Speed Triple is super-comfortable and equally pleasurable to ride - it depends on your mood at the time. They're both fantastic, but one you ride when you're frowning, the other when you're not =)
Question for Anyone, Which Bike Has The Narrowest Footprint that is on the Market Right now??? Oh sorry. Out of all the Liter SS Bikes or even the Naked SS Bikes (SS-SuperSports)
and you said it was going to be awhile to upload this? Do you know my Wisdom teeth were just pulled yesterday? I"m waiting for my drowsy meds to wear off then I'm jumping on the bike. Going to my girlfriends and we're going to a concert! Ugh man I'm putting loads of bits on my bike this week. Then I'm riding it to a different state so I can test ride some Triumphs AND Aprilia's.
I rode my bike 10 hours after getting those suckers pulled. It eased my pain being able to ride and my new TIRES ugh diablo rosso 2's are so amazing. Knee down if I had sliders multiple times. It makes riding so.... INVIGORATING having that much grip and trust in the tire. Our season is ending though it's 47 right now so make that 37F when I'm going 80MPH home. That's 37F = 2.7C
nice review, weird to spend all that on the non aprc model. don't be fooled into think the tuono is more sensible, it isn't. I've got a gen 2 v twin tuono and have ridden the v4 and there all amazing but no more practical than the rsv4.
it's still ass up wrists down, just straight bars. I've got bad joints and it killed me but the motor is so amazing that if I could afford one I'd just fit bar risers.
All respect lost when you tried to defend Yammi....he 100% deserved what he got for breaking the law and endangering the lives of others....Unsubscribed & thumbs down
The induction sound at 7:50 is just heavenly, my god
Very nice job buddy! Your VO is what blows me away the most in these videos. You have a very fun way of describing aspects of the bikes.
Thanks dude - won't be getting my slider shots to the same quality as yours for a long time though ;)
I wouldn't really agree with that. Honestly dude that rubber band and manual slider gets you 90% of what my setup does.
Consider me a bit of a perfectionist I guess - whenever I watch my videos back I notice the speed change every time and it bugs me!
lmao, no that's normal. From an outside perspective you can't really tell and that's coming from me. We will always be our worst critiques.
mods list- "carbon fucking everything" - awesome
I've got no complaints on my RSV4. I've got the factory version but wow that thing is crazy modified XD
do you still own it? Any issiues?
This is why I'm proud of being italian. nice video the first part of the video with that music made justice to that bike
The Script and Writing in your video is top notch! Not to mention the visuals. Great Review Man!

That means a lot dude, thanks - I've been trying to up my game in any way that I can. After all, you guys deserve the best I can do!
Great review! I liked the fact that you and the bike seemed to merge into ONE MACHINE as you took the curves! AWESOME!!!
This was, quite possibly, the best review I have seen of that bike. In fact, your review is better than the motorcycle magazine pro's work. Now, if only you could do a used CBR600F4I... :)
I really appreciate that dude!
Best review ever and what a bike to do it on! when you accelerated on the rsv4 i literally couldn't believe the pick up
Neither could I!
you have a way with words. Love your reviews. I think you and C2W needs to work to together again bike ride reviews. You two are the best on RUclips when it come to product reviews.
I'd love to work with Chase again - just a shame that an ocean separates us =(
436 likes, 0 dislikes, and only 9,884 views. What is wrong with this RUclips? You deserve more views.
Great video mate!
YES SMO!!! THE TUONO IS THE KEY !!! Lovely review man, pure gold again! The V4 is to die for... Next bike when I can make it happen will be the Tuono...
It's on the cards for sure - will be interesting to see how it stacks up next to the Speed Triple R.
I've heard very good things about the '16 models - wouldn't mind trying one!
Top job!
Thanks =)
man ive been watching your videos for a couple of months now and this one really takes the cake the shots editing and commentary this is your best work so far good job man keep it up
no questions that bike is amazing and probably one of only sportbikes I'd wanna own given half the chance but the fact a brand new one costs nearly 20 grand kinda puts most people of I reckon. No denying though its a true thing of beauty!
They're all in that ballpark, now.
Not unless you buy slightly used like I did then you save toooonnnsss :D got some videos on it too
***** Just picked up my 2013 Factory for 12k it's an awesome bike got lots of videos on it!
Validation that the RSV4 for which I drool is less superior as an all around daily bike to the Street Triple R I already have. Loved the review. Thanks SMO.
Definitely not something I'd want to ride around town constantly, no - amazing in the twisties though.
Thanks buddy, I really appreciate that!
Smo, you sexy beast. So happy to find so many new Smo videos in my notifications of late. Keep up the great work, very much appreciated. Cheers!
Thanks for the support - will do!
I have one and I still cant stop watching videos of it:)
That bike does sound fantastic. I'm sure you enjoyed the experience. Great video as always
Love your reviews man. The way you describe everything is akin to a wordsmith man. Very nicely done.
Thanks buddy, I really appreciate that 👍
Nice video man. I love that V4 sound.
It sounds amazing!
Bloody good video and review. Sports bikes definitely ain't going no where, it's just that more and more naked bikes are being released with the power, performance and actual comfort that make you think twice about purchasing an out and out sports bike.
Well said!
Awesome review mate👍
Beautiful rsv4 😍😍😍
Excellent review mate, it's a very professional job... That bike is gorgeous, I still kick myself for missing my test ride of it, but the Tuono is an awesome bike too :-)
Dude I want to ride the Tuono so badly!
Great review Smo! I am very happy with how great your reviews are becoming. Your island setting is a bit restrictive for such a powerful bike, but review, editing, panning etc are spot on. Perhaps some tweaking with the level of the background music may be in order when you talk but that is my personal preference :)
The Tuono is the connoisseur's choice without a doubt...
I really appreciate that dude, thanks! The IoW is a stranglehold, for sure - who knows what'll happen in the future!
I like the new presenting style...i can see future on the Bike World for you buddy :)
I hope so dude!
Great review as always buddy, gotta say that is one hell of a good looking bike. Now what could possibly be next on your bike list to ride........
It's a mystery!

It's definitely on my list!
smo, this was an exceptional video. Very good review.
Glad you liked it =)
As always great review dude... As my Daughter just said the review reminded her of a top gear review.. which is a win win man... Great video work as well man.. love it..

What a great vlogger you are! Subbed!
Awesome review!!! You got over a lot of details! Can´t wait for mine to be registrated :D
Totally agree with everything you've said in this video, mate! Awesome review! My RSV4 Factory is undoubtedly my favorite sport bike to ride! Cheers!
Nice review. defiantly need a Tuono review now. :)
You do a better review than chase on 2 wheels.
Great video! Can't wait for more!
Nice review again. 👍
Thanks dude!
Thats Right! There Shouldnt Be Not One Dis-Like On This Video Of This SEXY Ass Bike!! Hands Down 👇! !!!!!
YAS!
Great review Smo.
sums up why I love mine perfectly. great review :)
Lucky boy!
Wauw, just wauw
Brilliant video Sir Smo, almost like an interview for a job at Bikeworld ;)
Each question I though of you pretty much answered during the video but I'll let you know what they were.

That V4 makes me strongly consider a Tuono as an upgrade from my MT09
I'm looking long and hard at the Tuono right now.
See if you can review one!
One crazy good bike..
loved the siren comment!!
One day..... The RSV4 is so gorgeous.
You could give me a ducati, an r1, a fireblade, a zx10 and a Buell, I'd still want this. That is how much I want one on these!
blimey, it's like jumping into the cockpit of the millennium falcon and making the jump to light speed. I guess you would need to be a certain sort of rider to get the very best out of it though, one mistake and it could all get out of shape rather quickly
Oh definitely - the power is honestly scary. You're literally holding on to it. If you're not confident and capable, stay the feck away!
Hang on, just going to change my pants 😬
You definitely weren't the only one ;)
Nice job, got one and use it as a every day bike.
i started foaming at the mouth within 10 seconds of this video
Yeah that'd be cool
I was more cuious about how you transported a dolly on a motorcycle hahaha! then realised it was a smaller one. pretty cool. defo want one
0 Dislikes because you're a beast :D Awesome Review
If I wasn't having to sell my body to make dosh to eat, I'd be all over this.
I was wondering the whole video if you'd mention the tuono. I think it'd be the perfect mix of what you want.
Good edit btw, your videos have been really good recently!
Kiss me.
Oh I'll kiss you.
awesome video
how did you get the dolly shots at the beginning? have you got like a small one or improvised somehow?
Haha found it in the description XD didn't read it proerly first time and missed the camera section hahahaha whooooopppsss
I'm in the process of making a how-to video which will hopefully give people a better idea of how I record videos like this =)
Smo your comment re the Tuono - I've owned a Street TR then a Speed TR and now a 2014 Tuono - get yourself a ride on one of those, it will be interesting to hear what you think
I can't wait!
Can you provide a link to this aftermarket MAF and injectors please?
Have you ridden a Brutale 800RR? If you are ever in southern California Give me a shout... It will not disappoint
I haven't dude but I'd definitely love to - they're gorgeous! Thanks for the offer 👍
I really want them to make a 600 or 800 version :( Also they don't make this bike anymore. There's the RF and I think that's limited on numbers
A 600 version would be amazing!
Hey smo think you should get on a old Honda blackbird 👌✌
Aprilia.... nuff said!
mrsparkyaprilia- Hey man, just wanted to say thanks! Watching your videos a couple years ago is part of the reason I fell in love with Aprilia. (until maybe i get a RSV4 RF..) just wanted to say thanks!
thanks, appreciate it! Yeah I love my RSV, I test rode a rsv4 rf and is phenomenal! just need to save up those pennies!
You and me both matey, good God I want one!

The sound of this bike makes me moist. Ho-ly shit it's beautiful
Knowing that you're a woman makes this comment so much better.

" The kind of stunning beauty that usually comes with daddy issues, if you know what I mean." hahahaha-
Speedy :)
How hot my baby bike looks
Ill buy anything you review
Does it have abs
nice review, weird to spend all that on the non aprc model. don't be fooled into think the tuono is more sensible, it isn't. I've got a gen 2 v twin tuono and have ridden the v4 and there all amazing but no more practical than the rsv4.
Yeah, doesn't surprise me - but a more comfortable version of this? Sounds super interesting!
it's still ass up wrists down, just straight bars. I've got bad joints and it killed me but the motor is so amazing that if I could afford one I'd just fit bar risers.
Sad times Smo. I have traded in my street triple r for a speed triple.
why??
Why would you down grade????
Didnt read that correct lol
ohh me too.
I bet you're devastated ;)
is it a2 compliant? If so i'll give you £500 for it.
someone learned a few things from Chase lol
Not gonna lie... I've got a semi right now.
I've had mine for more than four hours =/
Is it just me that thinks it looks like a CBR600rr from the front
the same lenght as your.......arm..... pmsl..... :D :D
I'm 5'7" i can flat foot the 2016 rsv4 rr
Apparently quite a few ergonomic bits and pieces have changed with the newer bikes - tank shape included!
*****
seriously smo it felt as light as my fucking ninja 300. Can you test ride one near you and compare? If not no biggie don't go out of your way!
399
modified bikes.. mmmm
