In 'Living in Vienna' we spotlight life as it happens in Vienna. We mainly share what's going on in Vienna during our insightful walks and/or in arranged or impromptu interviews with Viennese people. All the times, we keep our ears on the ground and our eyes in the air to bring you to the front seat of life as it is in Vienna. If it's happening in Vienna, we are catching it and sharing the moments in time with you.
In this Limited series which we are calling Urlaub in Africa, we bring you content from Kenya, my homeland, voted the best city in Africa by expatriates in 2021, and one of Africa's fastest growing economies. I hope this sparks in you an interest in the Continent, our Motherland, as they say, Africa is the future.
Welcome to Africa, Karibu Kenya, Nairobi, Hakuna Matata.

Every major city like Nairobi need a well organized, & perfectly timed transportation network. Matatus should be the other option.

You are right. But trust me, a well organized and perfectly timed transportation will take out all the fun, the culture and the uniqueness of the Matatu evolution.

@@asilingamani My mom was born and raised in Nairobi and I remember her telling us about the evolution of the matatus, during her final years at the UoN. She's an old timer ad misses Nairobi under the Kenya Bus services. She said the transportation system in the city was so well organized and scheduled, but because the city's population was growing so fast, matutus were born out of necessity to fill the gap, and because they were so unregulated they quickly overpowered the organized system.

@@reduniverse8912You're right, hopefully the government will slowly phase out the unruly matatus through the BRT system

That's what I've heard as well, that there was a time people went to the bus station based on the set schedule. Nice that your mom has experienced that glorious period of the city. Greetings

Hello Marek, thanks, glad you enjoyed. Hehe the secrets of the afro hairstyles must remain secret 😂, thanks. The footage is only a couple of months if not weeks apart. Let me goggle Angela Davis, never heard of her before
