This gives me memories of my childhood car. My mom used to own a mid-trim Toyota highlander. The pickup of that V6 was absolutely insane tbh Back in the day I never used to appreciate the car because it was old, but now considering its performance, build quality and reliability I have started to fall in love with these 2008 highlanders just like my mom did too
True, these Highlanders provide excellent utility and are built like a tank. These early ones were built in Japan so build quality is better then new ones. 2 years ago my friend paid $13k for this one in the video.
It will still be giving the same power when it’s done 400,000. I have a 30 year old Toyota that did 0-60 in 6.9 seconds when new and still does. Every day 2 to 4 times a day when I get on the highway I floor it and I’ve been doing that for 9 years now. Just maintain it and service it by the book and keep it clean and it’ll outlive you😁
I believe you, kia and Hyundai are actually really good. I test drove a 2020 Sonata and I was impressed over my 2020 Camry. I want to get my hand on the N line or the regular one and make a video on it
Btw these 2008 and 2009 Highlander models were made in Japan which makes them even more attractive to purchase at least in my opinion!
Indeed
Mine has 178,000 Miles and still runs like a champ! The get up and go still exist.
Mine is over 250km and still performs spectacularly. Beautiful car

2008 Toyota Highlander, 88,748 miles
These Highlanders are stupid expensive on the used car market too! Especially the high trim levels!

They hold value and for good reason.
Apperently they can last upwards of 500,000km
When it comes to the VVT Chains, it's catastrophic. These things aren't tanks.
@Mshi- no timing belt???
Absolutely beautiful! I have a 2018 Toyota Highlander and it’s amazing… Toyota is by far the best car manufacturers in the world 🌎

The best suv in history
Does the rear glass hatch open on the base trim like on the limited trim?
No this base one didn't have that feature
Please review 2021 Elantra so you can compare it to the 2021 Corolla SE you reviewed earlier. If not Elantra, than Forte or Sentra.
Noted, I am going to get my hands on the Sonata and Elantra soon
No one wants to see an old Elantra.
Go check out the new sonata n line or limited! I really want you to go check it out so you can stop thinking about Hyundai:Kia being cheap.
