As far as I know,a fierce competition among mall entrepreneurs is unstoppable, new projects will be emerged in the heart of BKK every year, i.e. One Bangkok,Dusit Central Park and most outstanding in all is Bangkok Mall which is expecting to become the biggest mall in SEA region while some of the old ones are under renovated.I will keep an eye to witness what it's gonna be in the next few years!!!
Love all the shopping videos u guys make .. love those bargains.. possible oneday u guys do thai gold shopping as well? .. overall great videos .. seafood buffet are wonderful too.. keep up these great videos 🎉
When I were Teen. I go to siamsquare , MBK , siam center every weekend. It used to have more Thai teenager swarm the place. Nowadays it's more tourists. I still go there every a couple of month.
Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏 Appreciate it! You’re right there is a movie theater! Never watched a movie there 😅 Maybe one of these days What’s your favorite food at MBK?
Enjoy your content, the On Nut area is also an interesting place, a little out of the city center but still close to a lot of places. Hopefully I will run into you guys one day.
The little long yellow one is a slice of jackfruit, lol. I love watching you guys. Please enjoy out Thai hospitality and have fun and prosperity here in Thailand.
Cool to see you guys try our suggestions. I think MK restaurant is a must try on any visit for visitors to Thailand because they are located all over Thailand like McDonald's is. And I think they are everywhere in Thailand for a reason. Locals like to go there every now and then when they can afford it, just like McDonalds. I know my own family like to go there as one of the places to eat out at, when they take us out. We keep it as one of our rotational places to go to every now and then for eating out
Just completed my 2 weeks vacation in Thailand (Bangkok to Phuket). Enjoyed food and shopping at Siam Paragon, Siam Center and MBK Mall. Merchandise were very affordable.
Just stumbled on this video. You guys are our people! Had fun watching you describe the foods. Thinking about going expat from US to Thailand next year.
Thailand has great food!! 😋 if you’re a foodie, you’ll love Thailand. Which state are you from? We’re from CA. Weather here is very hot but there are a lot of nice malls to go to ☺️💗
Long comment again 😂 As someone who’s been going to Siam for over two decades, here’s my take: MBK: I mostly go there for phone accessories and Donki, the Japanese store. Since COVID, there have been some renovations, and unique restaurants have popped up, making the mall feel more vivid and lively. It’s touristy for the most part, but you have to admit, it offers everything. Siam Discovery: For me, it’s mostly a passthrough to MBK, lol. It’s a flashy mall focused on gadgets and souvenirs. If I do go, it’s usually for Loft, the famous gift shop, or just to vibe and window shop (because everything there is pretty pricey and too niche, lol). Siam Center: Food! It’s half local fashion mall and half trendy food spots. The food options here are mostly targeted at the younger generation, so it’s pretty unique compared to other malls. When I was a student, I always ate there. Siam Paragon: The main attraction of Siam (besides Siam itself). It has everything. Tourists might think of it as a luxury mall only for the rich, but I think Paragon offers a wide range of options for everyone. It’s my go-to theater for movies because it has the best picture and sound system (though not the seats). Lately, my girlfriend and I always visit the small gift shop zone at Betrend every time we go there for some new stylish weird inhaler-don’t even know why, lol. FYI: Betrend is The Mall Group’s brand for stationery, gadgets, and gift shops. It’s in every department store of The Mall and also in Paragon. B2S, the rival brand from Central Group, is similar but also includes a bookstore.
Pop Mart: It’s a collection of "art toys" that has somehow become a huge craze this year. It's a blind box with a small figure of a random character-basically a glorified Gachapon. Its most popular character is Labubu, which you might have seen everywhere. The reason they’ve become so popular is that Thai people are very trendy and, to be honest, pretty hive-minded, lol. So, if something’s popular or if influencers have it, everyone feels the need to have one too, even if there’s no real reason. Another factor might be that it’s like a lite gamble that isn’t illegal, so it’s very addictive. There’s a chance you’ll get a character you don’t like, so you end up buying multiple times until you get the one you want-or maybe even a secret character. Lastly, the reselling market here is huge and has driven demand through the roof. On the launch day of Pop Mart in Thailand, scalpers stampeded each other at the opening, and some people even got injured and broke their limbs. It was wild.
DUCK DONUTS ARE 🔥🔥🔥🔥 We have them here in the DMV area! Wife and I had two of the lemon icing with sprinkles yesterday! Very heavy so you would only need one. However you will want to eat more! Freshly made to order as well!! 💯 recommend you try! We will definitely go next year.
I absolutely love your channel! Your food and travel reviews are so genuine and heartfelt. The way you present your experiences makes me feel like I'm right there with you. Your honesty and enthusiasm really shine through in every video. Please keep up the fantastic work - you're inspiring me to explore new cuisines and destinations. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us!". I hope you enjoy every moment of your stay in the Land of Smiles."
For MBK in my opinion, the food court is the highlight. Not in term of price, but the variety and history. It's been established since 1985 (the very first well known food court in BKK), so a lot of memories there for me. So many long time established shops in it, too. I believe it's worth a visit.
Wowww..I'm surprised with your Thai greeting! It's perfect!! please try to speak out with Thai people. It would make your life a lot easier in Thailand. Keep going. Never give up ka! ❤️
Great time watching vlogs of yours roaming about Thai markets and shopping malls. Keep'em coming. 10K subs in just around the corner. Plan to celebrate the moment. 🎉❤❤😊😊❤
You guys are finding some good eats. Love egg tarts and would have loved to try the Thai treat one. That hotpot place is pretty popular. May have to check that out also. 😛
When I go to Siam Paragon, I will go to MBK too to shop Japanese sweets at Don Quijote (store) and dining at food court or restaurants there. Before I went there to buy or trade mobiles and accessories but now accessories are every where or online shopping. They are constructing Central Siam, that area will be full of mall competition. Your Thai is very clear like you are Thai, born in Thailand but grew up at States 😀
We go to Donki here and there too, but ever since we found UFM… we prefer to go there now. Here’s a link if you haven’t watched that video 😊 ruclips.net/video/e7fhe4cKPDI/видео.html
In MBK Food court they are Beef brisket slow cook is so delicious I always go to this shop every time I visit Siam district centre, if you cash up your food court card is near the entrance from the left hand side of the food court you must try this store is been opening more than 50 yrs.
@@ChovyTravel hahaha... in addition to the info in the original comment, the food court's on the 6th fl. They named the zone "Food Legend by MBK". if you use the north escalator to 6th fl., you'll find the food court on your right. The shop's name is Pow Tium Heng (โป่ว เทียม เฮง). Btw, the slow-cooked braised beef could sold out after lunch. If you prefer complete ingredients, visit before lunch time.
Suggestion for the accommodation for your family members who will come to visit. For only 1 month, it will be harder to find along nice condos, most of the owners need long term contract (3 months at least). You can check along Airbnb hotels which are in the distance of walking to BTS stations. To be more convenient to cruise around Bangkok.
Happy Mother Day !! There are 2 branches of Seri Market, one you were visiting in the vdo and the other is at Paradise Park on Srinakarin road. I guess Seri Market used to be cheap food court, and over time, something else added up like fruit shop, organic shop and so on. If you come to Seri Market on Srinakarin road (inside Paradise Park Mall), it will be more crowded & lively and it is a meeting place for older generations (40 yo+). For Siam Center, it is supposed to be a unique place for Thai designers to sell their products but it is more high-end. That is why some of the clothe you saw in there are very unique and cannot be found anywhere. Pop Mart is a Chinese company selling collectibles mostly cartoon characters (I am not sure from online games or comic books). And most customers are young adults, not kids, since they are not cheap. 😅
We didn’t know there were 2 locations of Seri Market! Thanks for sharing!! We were rather surprised how unique Siam Center was. It was a fun mall to visit for sure 😊👍 we had no idea Pop Mart was a Chinese company. Wow 😮 that makes total sense why there were a lot of “adults” at that toy store haha 😆
30 years ago MBK mall used to be the place where we buy all the pirated mp3 on CDs and DVD or video games. The first Iphone hijacked sold in Thailand was at MBK. I haven't been there for over 15 years. Regarding MK, it is one of the most popular place to eat for Thai people. My observation is that If you look around while eating at MK you will hardly see a white guy, that means its more toward Asian preferences type of food. It's the food culture that people come here to eat hot soup with meat balls and noodles. The dipping sauce is known as Nam Jim MK or MK dipping sauce, used for spice up the bland soup in personal bowl.
So interesting! A lot of people are saying jackfruit. It tasted more mushy to be jackfruit but then again we wouldn’t know. Thank you for letting us know! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
Great video!! Thanks for posting. Quick question … My husband is 6’ 240 lbs and wears XL in shorts and shirts in USA. Will he be able to find clothes to buy there? Or do we need to make sure we buy a bunch before we move there? Thank you so much!
Is he okay with short shorts? Like 7” ones? Anthony doesn’t like short ones. He prefers 9” ones so that’s why we have hard time finding them 😅 We would still buy some in the States, just not tons.
Yes! We even seen a shirt that was like XXXL. Really feel like MBK is catered for mainly foreigners so they definitely have the size that can fit us all 😅
the dessert you had called "Ruam Mid - รวมมิตร" which means assortment. A mixture of sago dumplings, jack fruit, palm seed in sweet coconut milk with shaved ice. What you ate which tasted like pumkin, maybe glazed pumkin. You barely find glazed pumkin in Ruam Mid. . Anyway, please enjoy food in Thailand your Thai was impressive.👍
If you had long term live in Bangkok, you'd better make member card of variety of Department Stores ....., eventhough 7- 11 ,you can get a lot of discount....... Study and get start.😊😊❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Popmart is popular due to various reasons 1. it's a collectible that has value. When you're bored someday, you can still sell it. and the price won't drop, it might even increase for retired series. 2. It's cute and trendy. Lots of influencer makes videos >> many ppl interest >> viewpoint as 'useless kids toy' effect lessen >> ppl buys a lot 3. Popmart targeted marketing in Thailand since Thai government has been accepting Chinese assertive trade strategy for a while now + effect of Chinese toy industry booming.
I recommend you to go to a new mall called Phoenix Wholesale, which is a development from the old computer equipment mall called Pantip Plaza. Now that business has moved to Fortune Town, they have renovated it into a mall that brings together food and ingredients from around the world. There are famous old Thai restaurants, modern restaurants, and famous restaurants from abroad. In addition to being a food center, it is also a place to organize cooking competitions, live music, and celebrity meet-and-greet events. Currently, this mall is managed by the same group of owners as BigC, Asiatique, One Bangkok, This mall is located in Pratunam, near Platinum Mall not far from Central world. 😂
Most of these carnival snacks are catered to Thai people taste bud you can find the original one at dunking donuts. The pocky cheesecake is really good id rate it 9/10. They are many hidden gems in BBK but you guys haven't scratch the surface yet.
Definitely makes sense. Sounds like we’re going to have to try the Pocky Cheesecake 😁 Tyty for that! 100% Agree! There’s so many hidden gems in Bangkok 😅
I never have any chance to try KK donuts in US, but it seem like Mister Donuts in Japan are much better quality what sold in Thailand, anyway they are much higher price as well. Personally I like Daddy Dough, Thailand brand with reasonable price, but they don't have many branches, so it's quite hard to find that.😊
" Seri market " at the Nine Center is a kind of old styled thai market but I'd recommend another branch of Seri market ( at Paradise park mall , take the yellow line , get off at Suan Luang station ) is way better bcz of various premium quality of traditional Thai foods. Its full of people especially over 60 from morning til dawn........
@@ChovyTravel U’ll find real Thai vibe food court or market or whatever u want to call at Seri Market ( in Paradise Park ) & I’m sure u’ll enjoy eating all day long out there…….Pls look for a big station , " Bua dessert " & try their tofu in hot ginger juice.......

Popmart hit maybe . It cute and want to just show. And it not for kid adult buy for themselves. But another reason maybe some want to resell it for higher price
There are few Americans I like as much as you and I follow you all the time. I would like you to go to the province again without worrying about Bruno because it is possible to travel back and forth in one day but you have to wake up very early to catch the 8.30 am train. State Railway of Thailand organizes special trips every weekend. Too bad the promotion is not in English but the price is really cheap, you get both convenience and novelty. Choose a route and try to check it.
You should try Suki Teenoi. I think it's better than MK. Go early otherwise you'll have to wait in line. Popmart became popular because of Lisa Blackpink. She loves it and bought Labubu. That became a craze of Thai people.
We definitely will have to one of these days. 😅 We tried going one time and it was over an hour long wait. Didn’t know it gets that busy. Ahh! That makes total sense! Thank you for letting us know! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
Tip. Says "Un Nhai (a)Rhoi Sud (Krub)?" อันไหนหร่อยสุด ครับ Would be closer to how Thai speak. Un = sound under Nhai = Sound Nice with high intonation aRhoi = you can ommit the "ah" and just say Rhoi Sud = just cut the "Tee" the word Sud have one meaning by itself already. 4 syllables (or 5 with Krub) much closer to how Thai speak. To refer to someone as "You" we dont directly translate to Khun. The word Khun is very Formal. Instead, Says "Nong" (Raise and high Sound, Long Vowel. น้อง) if they appear younger or you are unsure if they are younger than you or not. Or Says "Pii !" (Read Pea with raise sound พี่) if they appear a tad older than you. There are other instances such as Aunty vibe or Uncle vibe but that's for another lesson. For now. You can listen to how Google translate voice the word น้อง and พี่ To familiarize with this word since you should use it instead of Khun.
@@ChovyTravel I explained to him that there is no Nh pronunciation in central Thailand. Nh is found in the south, north, northeast of Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. In the central Thai language (official Thai language) only the letter Y can be pronounced. No Nh. So what he taught you "un nhai aroi" is wrong.
1:02 As an anime fan...Spending my entire time walking in Animate on the 7th floor. Do I have money to buy anything?, No But am I still walking in there everytime I go to MBK, Yes.
MK is a place for milenium (me as well) roasted duck and dimsum are the best i just love eating it since a kid it clean and meat quality is good now teen this day eat something like suki teenoi or some moo krata because it was cheaper(if dipping sauce taste good then they don't care about meat quality anymore lol)
they buffet as well it 500bath person (not include duck though) but if you go to moo krata or suki teenoi it 200-399 but they is chance of food poisoning if place was not clean or too cheap meat quality
but if you are looking for top quality try wisdom buffet or copper (but it pretty expensive like 1200 per person) you will get like lobster uni foie gra wagyu something like that
10:14 that bangkok sign has controversy of using too much tax on design it because the news said they use 3 million for that but actually 3 million is price for ci(corporate identity) design so it became viral for some reason lol
Pop Mart sell small dolls which are in current fasion trend. If you look at hanging dolls in the bag of many teenagers, those dolls came from pop mart. The reason for popularity is becuase Lisa, a famous singer, hanging the dolls on her bags. I saw the other clip of yours, and you ask this question, then asking again in this video.
Wow… you guys came all the way to my neck of the woods 🦋 I go to the Seri food court all the time. Is an old school food court and hardly any foreigners there! Have you been to Seacon Square on Srinakarin rd. Close to the train market ✅ check it out 🙏 Peace….
Honestly, I’m not quite sure. I believe they might as long as you spend over a certain amount. I believe if it was like 2 or 3,000 Baht for other places so that might also apply to SuperSport.
@@ChovyTravel I was actually thinking if I should share because I really love this restaurant and I don’t really want people to bombard the place that I can’t go anymore. But hey! I don’t eat there every day.
Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏 We want to learn a lot too but we’re so slow on learning 😕 True True! That would be cool but we have Bruno so we need a Pet Friendly place.
Love going to the animate shop in mbk 😊
Very Nice! Some of them look pretty cool 😃
พูดไทยชัดมากๆ คลิปสนุกมากครับ
Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
Really appreciate it and glad to hear you enjoyed it! ❤️❤️🫰🫰
Ka-nom is my fav. i alway miss them.
They are delicious! Have you tried the Strawberry and Thai Tea flavored ones?
Very happy shopping my friend
😁👍🤍
😅 That’s so interesting! Definitely makes sense! A lot of Asians do love their hot pot 😁
The yellow thing is call jackfruit
So interesting! A lot of people are saying jackfruit. It tasted more mushy to be jackfruit but then again we wouldn’t know. Thank you for letting us know! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
67% is so precise 😂 and I understood you at the start so you’re doing great! Haha
Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
Glad to hear! Awesome! 😁
Love you Thai skill❤❤
Thank you 😊
Great video!!
@@ChovyTravel Thank you so much! Your videos have been so helpful. Yes he likes the longer 9” ones also like to his knees.
Np! Absolutely our pleasure and glad we can be of help 😃. Then definitely buy some shorts 😁
Jackfruit, that yellow thing in your dessert. @ 38:38
Got it! Thank you 😊
Curious, Have you guys seen western sizes like Mens large at the teeshirt hawkers in MBK?
Thank you for telling us the name of the dessert! 😉 it was delicious 😋 have a great week!! 🫶🏻
If you had long term live in Bangkok, you'd better make member card of variety of Department Stores ....., eventhough 7- 11 ,you can get a lot of discount.......
Study and get start.😊😊❤❤🎉🎉🎉
We tried making membership at 7/11 but they were can’t because we’re foreigners 😭
Thanks for sharing! Now I can see why people go crazy over them 😜
เก่งจัง พูดไทยได้บ้างแล้ว❤❤
Thank you so much! 😊 we’re trying to learn more Thai now 💗
Duck Donuts is an American chain originating from North Carolina.
Oh yeah? That’s awesome 🤩
เริ่มพูดไทยได้แล้ว😂🎉😊
555 we tried 😝😝
Thank you so very much for the recommendation! 🥰❤️🫰🙏 Sounds like definitely our kind of mall! 😁
I recommend Fashionisland ,you can take BTS to Watprasrimahathat station then change to monorail pink line to Outer ring ram-inthra PK25.
We will put it on our list! Thank you ☺️
I like going to Japanese Market at MBK, DONKI
We never been to Donki at MBK. Next time I think we should 😅
@@ChovyTravel A lot of Sushi/Sashimi go in evening discounted
Oh really!? Thank you for letting us know! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
Personally I like Daddy Dough, Thailand brand with reasonable price, but they don't have many branches, so it's quite hard to find that.😊
Never seen or heard of Daddy Dough. If we see one, we’ll try it! 😋
We didn’t know there’s another Seri Market! We’ll put it on our list to visit. Thank you 😊🙏
@@ChovyTravel U’ll find real Thai vibe food court or market or whatever u want to call at Seri Market ( in Paradise Park ) & I’m sure u’ll enjoy eating all day long out there…….Pls look for a big station , " Bua dessert " & try their tofu in hot ginger juice.......
@@ChovyTravel U'll find real Thai vibe with mostly Thai food in Seri market at Paradise Park & Pls visit a station , " Bua dessert " & try one of their desserts , Tofu in hot ginger juice "........
Got it! Thank you for the recommendations!! 😉🫶🏻🩵
Got it!
Popmart hit maybe . It cute and want to just show. And it not for kid adult buy for themselves.
But another reason maybe some want to resell it for higher price
Icic! Resell!? Really!? That makes a lot of sense! In US they do it all the time.
Another mall for a Bruno 🎉
I know, right!? 😁
Aww 🥰 you’re sweet! 💗 we will look into the train options. Thanks for letting us know! Bruno has to get 2 walks a day, so that’s the hard part 😅
@@ChovyTravel You can bring your dog on Thai trains ha ha.
Really?? Didn’t know that!! 👀

I would like to see the two of you travel to other provinces, such as Chiang Mai.
We definitely plan to for sure. When’s the best time/month to visit?
So Good thai accent woww
Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
Appreciate it! ❤️❤️🫰🫰
The yellow one may be jackfruit
Wasn’t sure but a lot of people keep saying jackfruit so it must be jackfruit 😅. I personally liked it in the dessert 😃
How are you guys not 500Lbs!!😂 I know I would be with all that delicious food
🤣🤣🤣 We have to workout a lot just to sustain our weight 😁
You missed the perfume shop on MBK 1st floor. It's one of the best in Bangkok.
I think at one point we tried looking for it but missed it 😅
Next time, we’re going to have to do a more thorough look 😃
super sport are alway on sale i got my Nike 80% off sometime
Nice!! 👍👍
Tip.
Says "Un Nhai (a)Rhoi Sud (Krub)?" อันไหนหร่อยสุด ครับ Would be closer to how Thai speak.
Un = sound under
Nhai = Sound Nice with high intonation
aRhoi = you can ommit the "ah" and just say Rhoi
Sud = just cut the "Tee" the word Sud have one meaning by itself already.
Wow thank you so much! 😊 we love learning Thai from Chovy Fam!! 🥰👍🩵🤍
Nai
Lol 😝 so confused!! Hehe
Oh really? 😅😅
1:02 As an anime fan...Spending my entire time walking in Animate on the 7th floor.
Do I have money to buy anything?, No
But am I still walking in there everytime I go to MBK, Yes.
Lol nice 😄 it’s a fun place to be!
MK is a place for milenium (me as well) roasted duck and dimsum are the best i just love eating it since a kid it clean and meat quality is good now teen this day eat something like suki teenoi or some moo krata because it was cheaper(if dipping sauce taste good then they don't care about meat quality anymore lol)
they buffet as well it 500bath person (not include duck though)
but if you go to moo krata or suki teenoi it 200-399 but they is chance of food poisoning if place was not clean or too cheap meat quality
but if you are looking for top quality try wisdom buffet or copper (but it pretty expensive like 1200 per person) you will get like lobster uni foie gra wagyu something like that
Their roast duck was good 👍
Didn’t know they offer the buffet options!
Heard good things about Copper. 😄 Lobster and wagyu sounds good 👌
The yellow thing in the dessert is probably jackfruit.
SInce he mentioned it's taste like pumpkin, so I think it's reserved sweet potato (MunShuem - มันเชื่อม)
Really!? It didn’t taste like Jackfruit 🤔
That could be it! It did have more of a sweet potato texture and taste. Never heard of a reserved sweet potato before though.
@@ChovyTravel hahah sorry...I mean "preserved" sweet potato..
We figured! 😉
10:14 that bangkok sign has controversy of using too much tax on design it because the news said they use 3 million for that but actually 3 million is price for ci(corporate identity) design so it became viral for some reason lol
Wow really? Didn’t know it had a backstory to it

I would buy Korean food .BTS loves good food like you guys.

We see a lot of people with it on their backpacks! It’s actually pretty cute 😅
Thank you so much for the explanation!! 👍👍
that yellow things would be Jackfruit

So jealous you guys have all kinds of Thai food. Thai uk
Yes, it’s awesome being here hehe 😜 You should definitely come visit!!
Do they provide VAT refund in supersport?
Honestly, I’m not quite sure. I believe they might as long as you spend over a certain amount. I believe if it was like 2 or 3,000 Baht for other places so that might also apply to SuperSport.
