I’ve been watching you both since I’ve been on RUclips for 3 months! You both are awesome!!! I love your channel! Much love and blessings from Texas! ❤
You can find 8 Ramen in almost every mall in Bkk. It is a ramen fast food franshise from Japan and the prices are affordable. S&P originally started its business from making bakery. You can find that butter pound cake (similar to Sara Lee) in almost every supermarket’s frozen food section. And it is often buy 1 get 1 free. 😁
11:41 Most vendors are from India, South Asia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Myanmar (through experience shopping there). You can tell that they don't think like Thais and are less likely to give you discounts. Amazing video! Very fun to watch
I always eat at MK restaurant for their green egg noodle with roasted duck and sauce...so good. This chain can be found in all major malls and is a hot pot restaurant. Pop mart is a new viral trend mostly known for their Labubu characters that Blackpink’s Lisa posted on her IG.
Have you been to Terminal 21 Rama 3. Perfect for sunset by the river. Better food too. The reason t21 can have such inexpensive food is because the mall subsidizes the food vendors to get more customers to the mall.
Finally you had been there. Kai Yang O Sha is nice there. Every place there is a different taste for the same menu called. You shall try Thai style home cook, I host you. You can get the recipe and try cooking yourself too. And for the seafood sauce, I can let you try my recipe.
Go Ang Chicken Rice (Pink Kaomangai) is alright. It's so popular that they opened a branch in Tokyo recently, but personally I think it's kinda overhyped and too touristy. There are many other good Kaomangai places out there where locals frequent. I heard Montien Hotel's "Ruenton" Kaomangai is pricey, but worth every penny spent❤
i was just at the largest mall in the Klang Valley here in Malaysia, and the Pop Mart there also was packed with people. they sell toys, those dolls or action figures with a big head and small body.
@@ChovyTravelI think right now there's like a trending of "labubu" toy that was sold in popmart so i think thats the reason why its packed with long line😅
27:28 Yes, Hachiban Ramen (Ramen No.8) it’s like a fast food ramen for me too. Funniest thing for this place is that their best menu for me isn’t ramen (which is not bad) but their fried rice (Cha Han) I order this menu every time there. 🤣
Really!!?? How funny! I was literally debating when we had it if I should get the Ramen or Fried Rice! 😂 Ended up getting the Ramen only because of the name. Thinking that is their specialty 😅. Thank you for letting us know! Next time I will have to check out the fried rice! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
@@ChovyTravel my fav is combination that have spicy chicken (but it's not spicy XD) or black pepper pork serve with upgrade salad and i order french fries. that crunchy on the outside and soft like a tofu is dehydrated pork snack and from the picture of it look like you can top it off with porridge or congee it kinda like crispy wonton basically.
I visit Central World to eat every week. For a go-to place for Thais, visit Momo Paradise, the shabu-shabu place. It's the most popular buffet and has ranked number one in many polls for years. Personally, I think Tajimaya, also located in Central World, offers better value, but you can judge for yourself :) And there's my favorite place: Nuatair เนื้อแท้ plus, which you stood in front of in the video. It's a trendy meat restaurant where their specialty is beef, and they incorporate it into almost every dish. Their Beef Pad Kaprao is one of the best I've ever had, and their original steak is surprisingly excellent for its price. The menu has a vast array of options.
For G-ysorn, there's a new branch of the best buffet in town: Copper Buffet. You should try it-it's a premium buffet with lots of international and Thai food. Everything is heavenly good (the boat noodles and truffle soup are a must-try). I haven't tried the new branch yet, but I think it should be just as good. And you won't be regret.
@@ChovyTravel I don't know why RUclips were keep deleting my reply. 😅 However, if you're interested in Copper, you need to book it early through the Hungry Hub since it's always fully booked for a week. Additionally, I highly recommend trying the HH. It’s great for couples, you can not only book buffet or fine dining places but also staycation experiences, which give you a stay in a luxurious hotel for a night with a full-course meal at a mind-boggling price. It's a must try! I think it could be interesting for the content 😁. And they have saved my Valentine’s dates and anniversaries a couple of times 555.

Platinum Fashion Mall looks similar to MBK. I'll have to visit and see which mall I like better. Got a new tshirt at MBK and it was pretty good quality for 99 baht. SCORE! 😂
In terms of stall venders on the ground floor or basement level of most malls, they are usually regularly there. This means that it is business as usual. It's a way for the mall to efficiently use up space, although it takes up too much pedestrian real estate in my opinion. I don't mind them, but in lesser quantities.

i've been to Bangkok a few times. the last time was quite some years ago. i always enjoyed my trips there. the biggest highlight was, of course, visiting the Chatuchak night market, and practising my haggling skills. haha. that place is awesome. i also learned how to haggle with the tuktuk drivers. they'll quote an exorbitant fare, and you haggle until the price is right! i did notice something about the malls in the city. the higher you go, the less legit the stuff is. when you reach the top floor, everything is bootleg there. haha.
Have you checked out our private hospital yet? I recommend Phayathai, Vichaiyut, Bumrungrad - - just walk inside to have a meal there and/or get a massage or facial treatments.
41:02 My Recommendation on Seafood Sauce is To Learn how to make it on your own , Why ? Because I never taste any Industrial Seafood Sauce have a better taste than the fresh one. Beside that you can adjust or adapt the mixture in the way you like. Ha ha
Pratunam market is just opposite, clothes are cheaper and also good quality. I used to buy T-shirts with 100++THB there, they are still good until now even. Platinum mall is also good. It was more crowded before, currently many shops are closed due to economic crisis after Covid19 pandemic, some shops has changed to sell online due to the rental fee is also high there🎉❤
@@ChovyTravel Pratunam market is uncomfortable, most are roadside shops, sweating and crowded, if you go there be careful of pickpocket. You may not like it. I buy both expensive and cheap clothes. It quite surprises me, T-shirts I bought from Pratunam market are for wearing at home, I often wear them, they are still durable, but some expensive clothes which I rarely wear have been already saggy. 🤣😂😅 however, there are lot of clothes both bad and good quality, there you have to choose.
Oh really!? Thank you so much for the heads up! 🥰🫰❤️🙏 I know, right!!?? I know exactly what you mean. There are some cheap and great quality apparel compared to expensive ones. That’s why I don’t care too much about brands but the quality of the items/apparel 😁
I only went to Platinum once this trip because the shopping isn’t the same as it used to be there. It’s still fun but I couldn’t find anything I wanted and the prices are a lot more expensive than last time I went back to Thailand.
Platinum shopping mall has come forward in it quality and quantity especially in the clothing wears more fashionable and the prices are ok as most of the stalls carry unique items that isn't available elsewhere
Oh really? To us, Platinum seemed like it had better quality items than some other places. It’s definitely a fun place for anyone who enjoys shopping 🛍️😄
You must try going to "Talad Thai" and "Si Mum Mueang Market". These 2 markets are in Rangsit, Bangkok. It is the largest wholesale fruit market in the country. It is a center for fruits and vegetables from farms all over the country to be sold and shipped to small fruit shops across the country. You will find warehouses separated by types of fruits and vegetables. Such as banana warehouse, durian warehouse, you can buy retail at a cheap price. It's even cheaper if you go at night or in the morning. Because you can buy it directly from the truck brought from the farm.😁😁🙏🙏
@@ChovyTravel You will probably need a whole day or a car to carry all those fruits home for sure And I want to recommend a cool Pad Thai restaurant to you. The first shop is "Pad thai narok tak" which means hell explodes. The meaning is that the flavor is very strong. Located near Khlong San And another shop is "Pad Thai Ban Yai" is in the Inthamara area. Thai people call this restaurant Silent Pad Thai because the owner and the pad thai maker are hearing impaired. It is a restaurant that has received the Michelin award for 9 years. You'll get to taste Pad Thai made over a charcoal grill and already seasoned for you. It's not expensive, in case you're interested.🤣🤣🙏🙏
@@ChovyTravelfor traveling around BKK using just public transportation should be fine, but if you go to some other places (like last time you both went to Buriram) public transportation option might be sparse. Although I have cars and used to drive almost around the country. But later (when I getting older) I found some solution that more relax and stress free by take a train (mostly 2nd class CNR sleeper train)or plane then rent a car near train station/airport to drive to my destinations instead. IMHO 😅
Terminal 21’s owner is very smart. He uses a food court strategy to draw traffic to the mall. The food shops in the food court pay no rent just keep food quality and price low. All services expenses in the food court are taken care by the mall. All T21 use this strategy. I spoke to a food truck owner in front of CTW once. The rent is so expensive. It costs like 3-5,000 baht/shop/day 😅.
@@ChovyTravelYes, very smart. He said in the interview about his zero rent food court scheme as his generosity to give back to society, but he didn’t mention it as the way to draw traffic to the mall. But no worry all food court expenses will be covered by a high rent, especially the restaurants around the food court. They are paying more than 2,000 baht/sq.m/mth and they have to compete with food in the food court😢.
Platinum Mall at one time had the most expensive rent per sq.m. in Thailand. The stores make more money from selling wholesale orders to overseas buyers.
We decided to opt for the ED Visa which is a student visa to learn the Thai Language. It’s a 1 year Visa and we contacted an agent to help us with a condo rental 😃
Easy Buddy is my favorite restaurant in CTW. They mainly sell Pad Kra Pao, which they make amazingly. If you're a huge fan of Pad Kra Pao, you must visit this place!
Hey Anthony and Caroline! Have you seen the latest Apple ad controversy in Thailand? Maybe you could do a reaction for your next video. Would love to hear your opinions on it. Thanks!
Hachiban Ramen is my go to ramen. Its SUPER CHEAP!! when I went to Japan, It cost so much for a single set of Ramen. Like 30 USD per meal there in Japan. But Hachiban Ramen, If I to spend 30 USD in there. I would come home ready to have food coma.
Anthony look like you just got new hair cut very nice brother.next time you and your wife getting hair cut how much is this cost you guys in Thailand and how the barber treat you guys in Thailand. Please do.
For Instant Noodle, The best flavor in my opinion is the "Hoy Lai Pad Cha" (หอยลายผัดฉ่า) It's a dry noodle, red package. AWESOME Flavor, devoured like 3 package each time I made it. So good. If you added like sausages as well, Mm mm mm!!
Jackfruit seeds in S&P are not real seeds. It’s dessert similar to Luk Shup (made from yellow bean). S&P offers quite plain Thai food. Thai people go there when you can’t think of anything 😅😅😅.
Just my opinion, Dont get me wrong. I really like you guy speaking Thai. But instead of saying “ Ar Rai Dee Tee sood” It would be more understandable and less confusing to food sellers. If you guys say “Ar Rai Ar Roy Tee Sood” Ps. Only when ordering foods because Ar Roy means Delicious. Enjoy 😊😊😊
I found that there are too many Middle East or South Asian sellers in Pratunam area and also MBK. I don't enjoy the vibes there. The way most of the seller deals with customers is not like the local Thai. They are fluent in English but they are not friendly, some are rude. I thought I wasn't in Thailand. There's a local who told me that everything has changed since COVID. Many Thai workers from other provinces were back hometown and decided not to come back to Bangkok. That's why there are more and more workers from Myanmar, Nepal, India and other neighbouring countries to fill the vacancies.
I found that too. They grab you and pull you into the stores or yell at you. I found it’s not as cheap as it used to be and there aren’t as many options. A lot of vendors sell the same stuff.
Wow! Really!? That’s crazy! MBK and Platinum definitely had very similar vibes. We could tell a lot of the sellers weren’t Thai. Interesting! Thank you for sharing! 🥰🫰❤️🙏
@@ChovyTravelYes.. More than 60% of the staff in the department stores and even the shops in the famous night markets are foreigners from neighboring countries. The same goes for general stores. You yourself have encountered when you went to buy Khanom Krok where you found cockroaches in the box. Those were foreign staff. Even I myself could not tell if they were Thai or not. Unless they said it. More than 30 years ago, most of them were Burmese. Lao and Cambodian people often came to beg on the streets or joined criminal gangs. In the past, there was often news about gangs picking pockets of Cambodians. In the past 10-20 years, more Lao and Cambodian people have come to work. But there are also many who come in illegally.
Under Thai law, foreign workers are not allowed to work in occupations reserved for Thais only. This includes opening their own shops. Except as a partner with a Thai. Therefore, there are Thais who secretly work in a process of collaborating with foreigners as nominees to open shops for them. These problems will soon cause trouble for Thailand.
it s hardly find a peanut sauce in supermarket. in thai cuisine , v quite eat peanut sauce dipping in a few of food,.. spring roll , fried toufu, ... but u can buy a sweet plum sauce instead, then add a peanut from 711,...grounded it ur self.
Yes, it’s very hard to find… we tried making peanut sauce before but it didn’t taste right 😅 gonna have to get seafood sauce instead. Any suggestions on good seafood sauce??
If you see tourists packing their products at Big C, Vietnamese people often buy things to bring back home, such as Cha Tra Mue. Vietnam has a trend of Thai products and entertainment, making it one of the top 5 tourists visiting the country Personally, I think Thai people don't like to order Thai food in franchise restaurants, such as rice menus in KFC or McDonald's, because if they want to eat Thai food instead, there are options ranging from street vendors, food courts, to Thai restaurants that specialize in and are famous for Thai food But it's not always the case, such as the mango sticky rice ice cream menu at Swensen's that is available seasonally The advantage of a franchise restaurant that has a Thai menu is that it offers something new and different from the original, suitable for tourists who are not yet familiar with traditional Thai food. For the seafood dipping sauce, you can add additional ingredients as you like, such as finely chopped garlic, green chili, and lime juice or fish sauce.
Really!? I thought there was a Cha Tra Mue in Vietnam already? 🤔 That definitely makes sense! We have yet to try their Mango Sticky Rice Ice Cream. Sounds really good 😅. Thank you so much for the tip! 🥰🫰❤️🙏

i did notice something about the malls in the city. the higher you go, the less legit the stuff is. when you reach the top floor, everything is bootleg there. haha.
Really!? 😅 Sounds like you’re totally set anytime you come to Bangkok 😁
Not sure if anyone said but would IKEA not have the meatballs ?
Love the videos ❤
You’re absolutely right! We should check them out 😅
Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
Have you checked out our private hospital yet? I recommend Phayathai, Vichaiyut, Bumrungrad - - just walk inside to have a meal there and/or get a massage or facial treatments.
No, we haven’t! They have that service at a private hospital!? That’s interesting!
@@ChovyTravel you are in for a treat my friend ^_^
Thank you so much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
Will have to check it out someday 😁
41:02 My Recommendation on Seafood Sauce is To Learn how to make it on your own ,
Why ? Because I never taste any Industrial Seafood Sauce have a better taste than the fresh one.
Beside that you can adjust or adapt the mixture in the way you like. Ha ha
That totally makes sense! True true! Honestly, every restaurant that had the seafood sauce we liked it! 😅
Pratunam market is just opposite, clothes are cheaper and also good quality. I used to buy T-shirts with 100++THB there, they are still good until now even.
Platinum mall is also good. It was more crowded before, currently many shops are closed due to economic crisis after Covid19 pandemic, some shops has changed to sell online due to the rental fee is also high there🎉❤
Wow! That’s amazing! Priced so Well for customers!
Icic! That’s a shame!
I know, right!!?? I know exactly what you mean. There are some cheap and great quality apparel compared to expensive ones. That’s why I don’t care too much about brands but the quality of the items/apparel 😁
I only went to Platinum once this trip because the shopping isn’t the same as it used to be there. It’s still fun but I couldn’t find anything I wanted and the prices are a lot more expensive than last time I went back to Thailand.
Hi Anthony, how are your guys doing?,you two have alots of fun in Thailand
Platinum shopping mall has come forward in it quality and quantity especially in the clothing wears
more fashionable and the prices are ok
as most of the stalls carry unique items that isn't available elsewhere
Oh really? To us, Platinum seemed like it had better quality items than some other places. It’s definitely a fun place for anyone who enjoys shopping 🛍️😄
Hello 👋 we’re doing great, thanks for asking 😊😉 Yes, we’re definitely having a great time in Thailand! Are you also in Thailand?
Ooohhh yes, we noticed Platinum definitely has better quality 😊👍 finding unique, good items is always the best part of shopping! 🛍️👏
Woah really? Never even heard of them. Thanks so much for the tip too! If we visit Rangsit area, we’ll try to check them out!! 😊🫶🏻💛😋
@@ChovyTravel You will probably need a whole day or a car to carry all those fruits home for sure
And I want to recommend a cool Pad Thai restaurant to you.
That’s okay! 😁
Wow! Thank you so very much for the recommendation! 🥰🫰❤️🙏
We really appreciate it! That sounds amazing!
Recently, used car prices in Thailand have dropped a lot. You should get one to enjoy traveling freely.
Hahaha 😝 I don’t know if we would get a car but what do they go for, in general? Never thought of buying a car here but now I’m curious 👀 lol
IMHO 😅
😅😅😅 Icic! We will stick with public transportation 😁
100% Agree! Very Smart and Generous! Wow! That’s a lot! Totally makes sense why they have to upcharge
That sucks the restaurants have to compete with the food court. That would be really hard… 😬
Platinum Mall at one time had the most expensive rent per sq.m. in Thailand. The stores make more money from selling wholesale orders to overseas buyers.
Icic! So a lot has changed
Please review perfume shops in MBK and Dragon Town. 😊
Thank you for the recommendation! We will try to remember! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
Anywhere in thailand, if the price was written by hand, you can ask them for the discount😅
Really? Wow that’s a great tip!! Thank you ☺️👍
Honestly, I have heard that you could make peanut satay sauce out of peanut butter.
Oh, we tried making it before and it did not taste good lmao 🤣 any suggestion on good seafood sauce??
@@ChovyTravel Sorry, I can't recommend any seafood sauce. I just eat seafood at the restaurants 😆
😅😅😅
Can you tell us more about the visa requirements? What visa did you get to stay there for so many months ? How about apartment hunting

Oh really!? 😅😅😅 Whoops! 🤦

Just my opinion,
Dont get me wrong. I really like you guy speaking Thai.
But instead of saying
“ Ar Rai Dee Tee sood”
It would be more understandable and less confusing to food sellers. If you guys say
“Ar Rai Ar Roy Tee Sood”
Ps. Only when ordering foods because Ar Roy means Delicious.
Enjoy 😊😊😊
Oohhh!! Thank you 😊 We appreciate you teaching us Thai 🥰💖
@shannonisntavailable Wow! That’s crazy! We did see a lot of rather similar items for sale but from different vendors
Nowadays most foreign employees in thailand are from myanmar lao cambodia bangladesh

If you see tourists packing their products at Big C, Vietnamese people often buy things to bring back home, such as Cha Tra Mue. Vietnam has a trend of Thai products and entertainment, making it one of the top 5 tourists visiting the country
Personally, I think Thai people don't like to order Thai food in franchise restaurants, such as rice menus in KFC or McDonald's, because if they want to eat Thai food instead, there are options ranging from street vendors, food courts, to Thai restaurants that specialize in and are famous for Thai food
But it's not always the case, such as the mango sticky rice ice cream menu at Swensen's that is available seasonally
The advantage of a franchise restaurant that has a Thai menu is that it offers something new and different from the original, suitable for tourists who are not yet familiar with traditional Thai food.
For the seafood dipping sauce, you can add additional ingredients as you like, such as finely chopped garlic, green chili, and lime juice or fish sauce.
Really!? I thought there was a Cha Tra Mue in Vietnam already? 🤔
That definitely makes sense!
We have yet to try their Mango Sticky Rice Ice Cream. Sounds really good 😅. Thank you so much for the tip! 🥰🫰❤️🙏
