Bowel diversion or Ostomy is An ostomy is an opening on the abdominal wall for elimination of feces or urine.
Colostomy irrigation is a form of stoma management used only for clients who have a sigmoid or descending colostomy.
It is not done for Ileostomy because the feces are usually liquid.
