Your video is so detailed! I've watched so many videos about public transport in Paris, they got between 60k and 400k views but they weren't as interesting as yours! Thank you so much for sharing those tips. That will definitely help!
Thank you, Sara! I’m so glad you watched and found this video interesting and helpful ❤️ I want to give people the information I wish I had before my trip in one place 👍🏽 Your positive, supportive feedback is very encouraging, thanks again and have a wonderful trip!!
Best. Information. Video. On Paris metro. Ever. Seriously, as a parisian, this is the most precise and accurate one i saw, avoiding a lot of misconceptions i've too much heard. If i could add something, I'd add : - A t+ ticket is, for the road network, have virtually unlimited validity and connections number (not only one as you implied)... as long as you take your last bus/tram before the 90 minutes deadline, this last trip can last hours. - It's a misconception that the t+ ticket is valid on zone 1 and 2. It's even nearly not related to the zone system. In short : Bus/tram network, no zone limit, except on special fare lines (Noctiliens, 350, 351...). Metro/Rer, all metro network (which extend up to zone 3) but limited to zone 1 for RER. So you can't go to the Stade de France (zone 2) by rer with a t+... but you can by metro ; same for La défense (zone 3). - If you want, i know some cheap ways to go to the airports for few or even one t+ ticket.

Thank you. The "Maps" link was PERFECT. Somewhat easy to use (once I figured out what I was looking at). Not only was I able to print out a visual map of the trip, but it even provided written directions for getting from one point to the next--with times, line numbers, transfer points, AND specific travel directions for each part of the itinerary.

Thank you so much for your really detailed and super helpful video. I have been living in Paris inside my head for way too long and like you, I wanted to go 4ever!!! Thank you so much for talking all about how to navigate around Paris on a budget and especially what cards to get when at the airport. That Navigo card.. wow.. definitely the way to go. Thanks again!!!
Awww thanks so much for the compliment Miki! Im smiling as I read this 😁 I’m so glad you got the courage to GO and live out your dreams. Paris is beautiful and I hope you live to the fullest!! Bon voyage!!💕
Thank you so much for this! I'm planning my Bucklist trip to Europe in March 2020 and am a bit nervous about using public transportation. This will help me a lot. Thanks again!
You’re welcome! I hope you have a wonderful Euro trip and know that once you learn to navigate one public transportation system? The rest are pretty similar 😊 Thank you so much for watching and I wish you safe (and fun!) travels ❤️
Fabulous. Thank you so much for the advice. I'm looking at a few travel passes with a lot of confusion and hesitation, coz most of them include things that are unnecessary to me.
I feel your pain! I just wanted to know my options for traveling around and it took a while to sort through all kinds of confusing, unnecessary information. Thank you for taking the time to watch ❤️
Good informative video. Paris was a bucket list trip for me also, went in 2018 going back this year. I remember that the Navajo pass was in my research but we didn’t do it, will give it another look. We splurged on our airport transportation because we wanted to be as hassle free as possible after the long flight and starting our trip. So we booked a private car service and it was wonderful! I travel with my sister so we split the costs on things like transportation . I did countless hours of research for our trip . If anyone is thinking about getting the Paris Pass let me know because I can give you some tips for getting it for much less than you’ll see it advertised and for using it.
I can totally understand splurging on a bucket list trip to Paris 😁 I kept my transportation costs low so I could go all out on activities! Happy a wonderful second trip ❤️👍🏽😊
Our pleasure. With our first Paris trip coming up, we’ve been doing our homework and read about the Navigo pass. Then I searched RUclips and found your excellent video. You are so enthusiastic and informative! Thanks again.
Just discovered this EXCELLENT channel and just subscribed. EXCELLENT video! This is THE BEST re transport in Paris. Of the 20 arrondissements, which are those that require the RER for travel to the heart of Paris? I am trying to stay within the arrondissements that does not require the RER.
Thank you so much Yanni!! 🥰 the closer you are to the 1st arrondissement, the less you need the RER. The further out, the more you can consider taking the RER.
Hey Peter! Thanks for watching and commenting. You need to bring your own passport-sized photo of your face for the Navigo Découvert Card - they do not take a digital picture of you. I hope this helps and thanks again for watching! 😁
Thank you, Tedeisha! I really appreciate your comments and I pray that you will make it to Paris, navigate the system with ease, and have the time of your life!! 😘🙂
Thank you so much for this video, there really is no information around the metro or airport about the pass unless you speak directly to an employee there. The Navigo Découvert pass saved my partner and I so much money, we would have just paid 20.00+ euro EACH per day getting to and from Paris.
Exactly! There’s no information about the pass - no signage or anything when you arrive unless you specifically request it by name. I’m so glad you were able to save money and still see the things you wanted to see in Paris ❤️ Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, John! Happy travels 😊👍🏽
This is SUCH an informative video! Thank you so much for posting. To clarify, we are heading to Paris, arriving on a Wednesday leaving on a Monday - do you recommend the Navigo pass? If I heard you correctly, we would be able to use the pass from Wednesday - Sunday, and could use the T+pass on Monday?!? Additionally, when we fly into CDG, if they have the Navigo on hand, we would be able to use that into the city center vs. having to get on the RER, right?!? So many questions to pick your brain with!!! Thanks for the insight!
Thank you so much for the positive comments and for watching!! 😁 great questions, too! You are correct- if available, you could use the Navigo Découvert pass immediately from the airport to jump on the RER train into Paris and use until Sunday night. On Monday you would need to use t+ tickets to get around the city AND an airport ticket to get you back to CDG. To see if the pass is worth it, I’d look at my itinerary, estimate how many individual trips I’d make Wed-Sun, then multiply the number of trips by the cost of a t+ ticket (don’t forget to add the cost of an airport ticket, too). This can tell you which is the best financial option and help determine what works best with your schedule. Good luck and I hope this helps! Bon voyage!! 😊👍🏽❤️
Just Came from Paris and wanted to say Thank You from the Bottom it Our Heart. We arrived on Monday Bought our Navigo and used it till Sat for 6 days in Paris we save so much. Thank You Thank You. Enjoyed the City & even Disneyland with the pass 🙌🏼
This is wonderful news, MamaGlanch! I’m so glad you were able to save money and have a great time in Paris with the Navigo Découvert pass 👏🏽 Seeing this made my heart smile 😁
Also if you are under 26 and using the public transports on the weekend, there are super cheap 1 day ticket called "ticket jeunes week-end" they run from like 4€ for a day for zone 1-2. That all I used when I was living in Paris because I didn't have to use public transports on the week days, you just have to make sure you don't lose it lol.
This video was wonderful and so detailed! You have made what was the most intimidating part of my upcoming trip digestable and easy to understand. Merci
Thank you so much for this video! I simply did not know about the Navigo Decouvert option! I am planning on a 5 day visit from Monday through Friday, so for me getting from Airport to Paris to Disnelyand during this time should only need me to get a Navigo Decouvert right?! My travel budget just about halved - I was thinking some Zone 1-3 Paris Viste + individual carnet + single destination tickets for the airport. THIS. IS. AWESOME.
You’re very welcome, Kayeos! That’s right, a Navigo Découvert pass for all zones covers your entire trip, airport and Disneyland included. I felt the exact same way when I discovered the pass, too!! Have an excellent trip and thank you for watching!! 💕
Antoinette, we are "hopefully" going in August 2021, thank you so much for your very informative video. We really appreciate all the research you did for us!
I hope you are able to go in August, too, Salvatore! Paris is a trip I will never, ever forget so I hope you’re able to go and have an AMAZING time! 😁❤️
I really loved this video so helpfull!!!!! I will be traveling soon with my friend so we were thinking about the Paris pass tickets but its a bit expensive, since I started living in Germany and I understood the way tickets worked here I was trying to find something similar for Paris as well and Im glad that i came across your video. I would like to know if there is a similar ticket like the museum pass which may be cheaper. If so that would be great.
I’m glad I could help and thank you so much for watching, Claudia! ❤️ Other than the tickets I mentioned in the video, I’m not aware of anything cheaper.
Can you please make us a quick video from Orly Airport to Eiffel Tower and Louve and maybe Norte Dame as we will only be there for like 7 hours. We have tickets to go up to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Can you help because it appears so confusing right now. I did enjoy your above video. We appreciate any help/assistance. We are leaving California this coming week on 10/10/2019.
Hi Richard! I will not be able to make a video in time for your trip, but if you enter your destinations in google maps (in the order you want to see them), you will find the fastest routes as well as what type of transportation you need. With that said, it will take 45min - 1hr just to go from Orly to the Eiffel Tower using public transportation, not including the time it takes to go through the airport. 7 hours is a short window of time to see everything, but you can probably cut your commuting time in half by taking a taxi, although it will cost much more than a train or metro.
So happy you were able to go, I'm going in one month! My dream is to visit Disneyland. Where did you buy de Macarons? Any other shopping tips? Greetings from Mexico
Hola César! Tú vas á Paris en un mes? Que emocionante! I’m very excited for you! I purchased macarons at the flagship Laudrée store on the Avenue Champs de Elysées, but you can find Laudrée pretty much everywhere and even at the airport. Pierre Hermé is another famous place, but you can also purchase macarons at most bakeries in Paris. As far as shopping goes, it depends on your budget! I saw more sights than I shopped, but check out the Faubourg Saint-Honoré district- Galleries Lafayette and the same Avenue Champs Elysées where Laudrée is located to start. Depending on how much you spend, file a VAT refund at the airport to get some of your money back (some high-end stores might help with this, too). So save your receipts and get to the airport early 👍🏽 Happy eating and shopping!! ❤️
Great video so detailed could you advise we are arriving late Saturday can we purchase a Navigo card on the Sunday for the week starting on the Monday?
So if you arrive on a friday morning and leave on a Tuesday morning, wich option makes u save the most? (Disney on a Monday and there´s 1 adult and 3 teens) Ty so much for the tips!
If you arrive on a Friday that's tough, Rita - it all depends on your itinerary. I would add the cost of each individual trip you want to take (RER, metro, bus, etc) then I'd compare it to the price of the passes (carnet, paris visite, etc). From there you can see what will save you the most money💰
Hello! Enjoyed your vlog. 1.What travel pass or transportation option would you recommend for someone staying in Paris for only 20 hrs? I arrive at 230pm and leave next day at 10am... 2. Obviously I won't be able to enjoy all the daylite hours, what do you recommend I do/see? Thank you!! 😀
Hello Yliana! I’m so happy you found and liked my video, thank you!! This is a tough question - it all depends on what you want to see and how often you will ride the metro/bus/train. The biggest expense is getting to/from the airport to the city center (assuming you’re flying into Paris). If you’re flying in, on one hand there are 1- and 2-day passes (like the Paris Visite) pass that you could use to cover airport transportation (zones 1-5), but they will cost since you are arriving at 2:30pm. Those passes are for unlimited use of the transportation network and are valid from 0h-24hrs, so you would have to buy the 2-day pass for zones 1-5 in order to get to/from the airport and around the city for around €38. There’s also the option of buying two Airport tickets (€20,60 for two tickets each way) then a few t+ tickets as needed (€1,90/each). If you arrive before Friday, the Navigo Découvert pass would be around €27,80 and includes airport transportation but again, it all depends on how often you will use the system during your 20hr trip 🙂 For what to do... there’s still a lot to do in 20hrs! You can do an evening bike or walking tour to catch the highlights of the city. You can climb up the Eiffel Tower, check out an evening performance (play, music, cabaret, opera, ballet, etc), or eat as much as you can (chocolates, pastries, croissants, anything). Depending on the day you arrive, you may be able to see a museum during extended opening hours (on certain days some museums are open until 9pm) or you can just stroll along the city. There’s also the Catacombs or just hanging out at a café/restaurant with outdoor seating. Whatever you pass you choose and whatever you choose to do, I wish you the best 20hrs in Paris imaginable!! 😁❤️
Hi Antoinette! Thank you so much for your awesome videos! I will be Flying into Paris next month along with my wife and son and I was wondering if I am able to purchase a navigo card from out of Gare Du Nord train station or is there another location I need to go to. I will be arriving in Paris France on a Sunday morning and leaving on Wednesday afternoon to go to London for three days.I want a card that I can keep and use the next time I take a trip to Paris France, I thought purchasing this card will be the better choice. God bless, Eric
Hi Eric! I really appreciate your positive feedback, thank you! You should be able to purchase a Navigo Découvert Card at Gare Du Nord because there is a Transilien train ticket window at the station. You can buy the pass at any metro, Transilien, or RER ticket window. Once you have the pass you are able to reload it from a kiosk. Have fun in Paris and London, they are two fabulous cities with great architecture and a lot to do! ❤️👍🏽😊
This video is so much informative. Thank you Antoinette. I’m going to Paris coming Jan and I’m gonna save a lot of money once I purchase Navigo Découverte at the airport. I have one question. Where do I purchase this pass at the air port.
I’m so happy for you, Dhruv! Check CDG Terminal 2. Look for the SNCF “Billets Paris et Ile-de-France” Office or at any of the other SNCF, Transilien, or Optile windows. Happy travels!!
Hey Daniel, the macaroon place is called Laudrée and they also sell a lot of other great-looking pastries 👍🏽😋 www.laduree.fr/en/laduree-paris-champs-elysees.html
Hi! Such a great video. I found out that we can take roissybus from opera to airport? Is that a better & easier option to do than using the rer from airport to city centre with a big luggage? Pease kindly let me know. TIA.
Hi Kartini! I don’t have experience taking the roissybus so I’m not sure, but make sure there is enough space for luggage and that it makes sense time-wise. Taking large luggage on the RER is doable but it will be cramped.
Thank You Thank You So Much for the Detailed Video I Liked and Subscribe to your channel. So arriving Tuesday Leaving Fri. So going around Paris from CDG n to Disneyland is by Navigo Decouvert? And How Much for those day? Woweeee that's makes it so Easy. Looking Forward in Hearing from u Thank You Gigi
Hi Fried - you can find the pass at CDG Terminal 2. Look for the SNCF “Billets Paris et Ile-de-France” Office or at any of the other SNCF, Transilien, or Optile windows. Bon Voyage!
Excellent video. Very helpful. Question, if I get to Paris on a Tuesday I still can buy the Navigo card and start using it right away right? I’ll be staying for a week, so I figure I’ll use the navigo card the whole week and the day I leave I can buy a one way ticket to the airport. Thank you in advance for your answer.
Thanks so much, Bebita! To answer your question - yes, if you arrive on a Tuesday you should be able to use your card right away. Thanks for watching and I hope you have the BEST time in Paris!
just adding a lil fact though, once you use one of the ticket to enter a station, you only have 90 minutes to makes any connection you want, after that it will be expired. i once got controlled after shopping around in gare du nord and i didn’t kbow about this rule, it was kind of awkward.
Your information is so very helpful. I am visiting Paris this August and plan on buying a Navigo Découverte. Do I have to present a signed face photograph of myself at the time of purchase to put in the card? Is this a compulsory requirement to purchase this. Also I believe it covers Zones 1-5 ? Also do you know if this card can be purchased from a booth at CDG airport ? Thank you and hope to hear back from you.
Thanks, Jude! August is right around the corner which means your trip to Paris is coming up soon 😀 To answer your questions, you don't have to present a photograph, but after you purchase the pass you are responsible for attaching it yourself. Yes, the pass can cover zones 1-5, just ask for it at the airport, at CDG Terminal 2. Look for the SNCF “Billets Paris et Ile-de-France” Office. Good luck and I hope you have a fabulous trip! - Antoinette

Thank you great information and very easy to understand
You're welcome, Donna!!

@@FrolicAndCourage I will be in Paris this October! I’m really excited 😍
October is here!! Bon voyage!!!
Super helpful video
I’m glad it helped, Animesh 😊
Thanks for sharing your research!
You're welcome, Gustavo! I appreciate you for taking the time to watch and to leave a comment 🙂👍
Outstanding! Thanks.
Thanks for watching, Bret! ❤️
Our pleasure. With our first Paris trip coming up, we’ve been doing our homework and read about the Navigo pass. Then I searched RUclips and found your excellent video. You are so enthusiastic and informative! Thanks again.

Cute and smart! Thanks
Aww, Thank you for watching!
Thank you so much that was very helpful and you are such an amazing person 😍
You’re welcome Mohammed 😊 I’m so glad you clicked to watch and that I was able to help 👍🏽

You are a woman after my own hearth. This was me in Japan. I was so prepared I had gone native.
😂 exactly! I wanted to know EVERYTHING!!
Do you need a photo of your face to apply to the navigo card or do they take a digital picture of you? PS super formative vlog very much appreciated.
Hey Peter! Thanks for watching and commenting. You need to bring your own passport-sized photo of your face for the Navigo Découvert Card - they do not take a digital picture of you.
I hope this helps and thanks again for watching! 😁
sorry to jump in to your conversation... can you wear eye glasses on the face photo?
@@Karlui2006 🤔🤔🤔
Hey Lui! I’d probably leave the glasses out of the photo 👓❤️
Thank you SO much for this video, very informative!!! Paris is also one of my bucket-list things to do, feeling more confident already!😊
Thank you, Tedeisha! I really appreciate your comments and I pray that you will make it to Paris, navigate the system with ease, and have the time of your life!! 😘🙂

Thank you so much Irene!!! I appreciate you taking the time to watch ❤️😁
not bad! The key word is research, research, research. 👍
Oh yes, research is sooo important!
Great info
Thank you Jas!
Thank you so much... for this informative video!! :)
You’re welcome! I’m glad I was able to help 😃
great !!!!!!!!!! Thanks very much
Happy to help, David ❤️ thanks for watching!
Super cool video...
Thanks, Vinoth!! 😊
the bus is excellent as well. can ser the sites instead of underground
Absolutely! There will be more stops between but you get a taste of different neighborhoods 😊
Awesome info! Thank you so much😍
Anytime, Sveta! Thanks for watching!
What great advice, kanekiji! It’s perfect for a quick weekend in Paris. Thank you for sharing 👍🏽❤️😊
This video was wonderful and so detailed! You have made what was the most intimidating part of my upcoming trip digestable and easy to understand. Merci
This is one of the best things I’ve heard all day, thank you Tori!! 😃❤️
Only a week to go now! We're getting excited 😆😂
A week has passed- Have a wonderful time, Salvatore!!
Merci! 😊
De rien, Catherine! 👍🏽😊
So save your receipts and get to the airport early 👍🏽
Happy eating and shopping!! ❤️
Great video so detailed could you advise we are arriving late Saturday can we purchase a Navigo card on the Sunday for the week starting on the Monday?
Thank you for your comment, Helen! Yes, you can purchase the Navigo Découvert Card on Sunday to use starting Monday morning. I hope this helps 🙂
@@FrolicAndCourage thanks again happy travels🗼🗼🗼🗼
So if you arrive on a friday morning and leave on a Tuesday morning, wich option makes u save the most? (Disney on a Monday and there´s 1 adult and 3 teens)
Ty so much for the tips!
If you arrive before Friday, the Navigo Découvert pass would be around €27,80 and includes airport transportation but again, it all depends on how often you will use the system during your 20hr trip 🙂
For what to do... there’s still a lot to do in 20hrs!
God bless,
Eric
Frolic & Courage
Thank you so much! I certainly looking forward to this trip!
God bless,
Eric
You’re welcome 😉 May God bless you and your upcoming travel plans!
What was the name of the macaroons place?
Hey Daniel, the macaroon place is called Laudrée and they also sell a lot of other great-looking pastries 👍🏽😋
www.laduree.fr/en/laduree-paris-champs-elysees.html
If you arrive on Thursday at get the Navigo before midnight Thursday, that means you can use it unlimited until Sunday at midnight, correct?
That’s correct! You got it 👍🏽😎
Where can you find these nice navigo cards at the Charles de Gaulle airport
Hi Fried - you can find the pass at CDG Terminal 2. Look for the SNCF “Billets Paris et Ile-de-France” Office or at any of the other SNCF, Transilien, or Optile windows. Bon Voyage!
Frolic & Courage Thanks a lot. What about Terminal 1?
Excellent video. Very helpful.
Question, if I get to Paris on a Tuesday I still can buy the Navigo card and start using it right away right? I’ll be staying for a week, so I figure I’ll use the navigo card the whole week and the day I leave I can buy a one way ticket to the airport.
Thank you in advance for your answer.
Thanks so much, Bebita! To answer your question - yes, if you arrive on a Tuesday you should be able to use your card right away. Thanks for watching and I hope you have the BEST time in Paris!
The 10 pack ticket , do they have expiration date like for example from the day you purchased them ? Thank you :)
Hi Rose! The carnet (10-pack of t+ tickets) do not have an expiration date, so use them anytime. 🙂👍
just adding a lil fact though, once you use one of the ticket to enter a station, you only have 90 minutes to makes any connection you want, after that it will be expired. i once got controlled after shopping around in gare du nord and i didn’t kbow about this rule, it was kind of awkward.
August is right around the corner which means your trip to Paris is coming up soon 😀
To answer your questions, you don't have to present a photograph, but after you purchase the pass you are responsible for attaching it yourself. Yes, the pass can cover zones 1-5, just ask for it at the airport, at CDG Terminal 2. Look for the SNCF “Billets Paris et Ile-de-France” Office. Good luck and I hope you have a fabulous trip!
