  • he T-72B3 is a recent Russian upgrade of the ageing T-72B tanks. It can be seen as a low-cost alternative to the T-72B2 Rogatka upgrade to keep older T-72B tanks operational. Refurbished and upgraded T-72B3 tanks are fitted with new engine, new gunners sight, new fire control system and have some other improvements. Now this MBT has a limited hunter-killer engagement capability. First upgraded T-72B3 tanks were delivered to the Russian Army in 2013. By 2020 a total of 558 tanks were upgraded to the T-72B3 standard.
    The T-72 is a family of Soviet main battle tanks that first entered production in 1971. About 20,000 T-72 tanks have been built, and refurbishment has enabled many to remain in service for decades.
    The T-72A version introduced in 1979 is considered a second-generation main battle tank. It was widely exported and saw service in 40 countries .
    The T-72B3 version introduced in 2010 is considered a third-generation main battle tank.

      Т-72 выбил все украинские танки, теперь выбивает все танки НАТО, что остались от варшавского договора. Потом выбьет все амер и европейские танки. Это потому-что, чтобы Т-72 оставался актуальным его нужно было модернизировать в РФ.

    The T-72 defeated all Ukrainian tanks, now it defeats all NATO tanks that are left from the Warsaw Pact. Then all Amer and European tanks will win. This is because in order for the T-72 to remain relevant, it had to be modernized in the Russian Federation

    • @KingSpittusFactus
      @KingSpittusFactus Год назад

      No the T72 is the worst modern tank in existence. Even T64s are better in Ukraine. The T72 is the most destroyed tank after ww2 and technically so old and awful. Without the west it wouldn't even exist since France builds the Sosna U for it. Russian tanks before Sosna U weren't even able to stabilize the gun when go faster than 25 kph

    • @TyphoonUSSR
      @TyphoonUSSR Год назад +6

      @@KingSpittusFactus Ukraine does not have and never has had its own tanks. There were only old Russian (Soviet) tanks T-62,64,72, 80. The T-64 is an old Russian tank that was produced in a factory that Russia built in the Russian city of Kharkov in the last century. In the 21st century, Russian modernized tanks are invincible, their losses on the battlefield are minimal. And it is very easy to prove this, because NATO collects Soviet tanks from all over the world and delivers them to Ukraine. All "Ukrainian" tanks have already been turned into scrap metal. Ukraine has long run out of its tanks, guns, MLRS, planes and helicopters, because they were eliminated by modernized Russian combat systems. To deny this is as foolish as to deny that the earth is round.

    I mean, on paper the T-72 is kinda a bad tank, the autoloader is slow, it's two piece ammunition, unlike NATO tank when you hit the ammo on the T-72 the crew with just be annihilated, the T-72's armour is really weak for modern standard, and the fire and control systems are way out of date compared to that of the Abrams, challenger, Leopard and even the japanese type 10. the reason the T-72 is the backbone of the russian is because even though its bad its easy to maintain and really easy to produce. The russian military does have a way better tank which is the T-90M which has the ammo containment design of NATO plus improvements to armour and fire control systems, The T-90M even uses the brand new russian ERA that the Chinese TYPE99A uses but for some reason the russian is not opting for the T-90M but instead the T14 Armata, the T-90M has around the same internals as the T-72 so russian tank crews wouldn't have to train as much compared to the T14 Armata which has totally new internals. Just saying the T-90M and NATO tanks are way better than the T-72 by far.

    • @WhoopityDoo
      @WhoopityDoo Год назад

      Because Soviet doctrine was to have as many of these things and BMPs rushing through the Folda Gap and overwhelming Western Europe with superior numbers. I mean, it's reversal speed is only 4 kilometers an hour, so it can't even shoot and scoot properly. Russia clearly didn't have the money to build a brand new tank after the fall of the Soviet Union, so their only choice was to modernize what they had. You can see their limitations in Ukraine and how modern ATGMs just eat these things alive.

    • @evo3s75
      @evo3s75 Год назад

      yea, it's because the Russian doctrine was to have the ammo low on the ground since the turret is hit more often. But I'd love to see the Russians come up with a new more western tank using 1 stage ammo with a bustle auto-loader

They work their cannons as if in training, lined up. This speaks of the complete military and technical superiority of Russian tanks on the battlefield. In order to render an old Soviet tank unusable, 7 or 10 Javelins need to be fired at it.
