It's a hit. Better than what I purchase as I control the sugar ! No preservatives, everything genuinely pure! Thank you.

Instead of squeeze for only the juice, I added some pulp too but found it took too long to get jam thicken. I also reduce sugar to 3/4 cup. However it taste good.

I have done 3 or four variations with this method and they have all turned out fantastic. Sooo easy. TIP>>> When you get to a rolling boil, I have found that you can tell when the marmalade is ready when the fruit follows the spoon. It clumps up behind my silicone spoon insread of spinning out. Never fails. Many thanks for a great recipe.

Julian Julia Dorey Excellent TIP. Thanks. I also stripped the lemon, julienned it and added it Used 400gm of sugar -was sweet enough. Makes 2 jars from something that would have gone to the dumps👍

@@LD-zd5fr Same here, I reduce the sugar content as well as I love the sharpness in real marmalade. Bought stuff is just sugar jelly.

@@LD-zd5fr David thank you for your advice on sugar quantity and lemon. I prefer a really sharp marmalade and will make these changes. Great method and no waste. Looking forward to success. Best wishes and stay safe.

Good marmalade demands good toast, lightly browned, still hot from the toaster/grill and then buttered so the butter is melting into the warm toast THEN and only then can you add the blessed marmalade. Alternatively, it can be served of warm fresh bread rolls from a really excellent bakery, that has proven to be a great choice in the past. (Sadly, great bakeries in the UK are increasingly difficult to find).

Great and one can add different liquids - instead of water. First time I make this - and one tip - instead of scrapping off the white from peel - I used a nifty peeler - this one brand is really great to even peel a tomato. Brand name is Mueller/Made in Austria. As for the cheesecloth - wish I didn't have to buy this - any other ideas to skip this step??

Can any any other type of sweetner be used for making this recipe like jaggery or demrara sugar and 3. What will happen the other parts of the orange is not used? Again thank you
