I'm an avid fan of stop-motion animation (like in this video and in The Nightmare Before Christmas) and this video made me very pleased. It was a nice way to show how Google Chrome organizes everything. :)
Firefox also supports the full zoom function. The agencies I've worked in have all built in Firefox, then tested in Safari and Chrome. Then fixed for IE which likes to ignore all the rules. Personally, I like telling people to upgrade on my project sites when they're using anything less than IE8, if they're using IE that is, and always offer them the opportunity to switch to something better ;-)

no i haven't noticed it doing any updates at all. It might have, but i have had it since the release and i havent noticed anything. It just works every single time.
dont forget, just because this ad doesnt work too well in the west it might do so in japan, korea (the south) and so on. even though, i found the idea of bringing chromes simplicity to life that way pretty sweet.
I use chrome, in fact i'm using it right this second! It's fantastic. Clutter free, easy and straight forward to navigate, fast and a great use of space. You can do everything like you would on an internet explorer browser, but Chrome certainly gives you a sense of superiority and organisation. A must have, I would totally reccomend it. =D

I have used Firefox3, and all i can say is that it's a slow, out dated, web browser that only gets its praise because you can customize the look and it's better than Internet Explorer (and that's not saying much at all).
The fact is, edge IS chrome. All Microsoft has done is redesign it to look like their own to compete against Google but it's still just "Chromium" no matter how you look at it. If Chrome is any worse, then that also applies to Edge as well. It's not the first for Microsoft (Just like how they steal Google's Search data and use it for Bing or Redirect RUclips to their own awful site that embeds the RUclips player even though users did not ask to be redirected!!).
That commercial at LEAST says they are introducing a computer that will change everything basically. It said what they were selling, which is more than "Google Chrome: Install it!" Might I add, while the 1984 ad got people talking, it didn't convey the product. Opinions were mixed, and half the potential consumer base felt it was likely nothing but a toy. I have no doubt the ad served to further the feeling of "this is too radical". Might be a factor for mass DOS/Windows adoption.

watched on chromium (open source version of chrome) running on Fedora 15 64 bit. runs great even with over 80 tabs open. the flash click to play feature is really helpful in such situations - but even without it, the browser flies along. meanwhile, firefox 4 is terribly broken for me (even fresh out of the box).
I LOVE Chrome a lot. The only thing that bugs me is that you can't use google toobar in it. Sure you can fake the google toolbar but, it just isn't the same. Google Chrome + Google Toolbar = the greatest thing EVER!!!!
But even on those who have Internet, I don't think the whole OS need to be based on an online resource. I think it needs to be able to work while you are completely offline, that's way you wouldn't be dependent on some company to run your computer. Also, when your OS is built in that way you cannot know what is inside and your private files might be viewed by people who are not supposed to access them.
