Susan B. Frampton, PhD is a medical anthropologist, author of numerous publications and the President of Planetree International Inc.
At the 2018 Planetree International Conference on Person Centered Care, Dr. Framption discussed Planetree's model for person centered care and its impact on care delivery. In addition, she shares her input on the intersectionality of humanism and technology as we trend towards the future of medicine. She points out the importance of health care workers/professionals as being essential in the equation of improving patients and family engagement.
Moreover, Dr. Frampton points to the significance of compassion in interactions in the health care dynamic. She explained that the complexity of attaining optimum compassion is challenging as we all come with our own set of experiences and biases.
