I just compared this plugin to my hardware mixbus chain (SSL Bus Comp + MBT) and the plugin is impressive. It still remains 10% in favor of the hardware (which is relevant in the mixbus) but I can joyfully affirm that now I can mix on the go in complete tranquility replicating the hardware chain of my studio!!! Thanks Kiive Audio!
Bought already. 2 of my favorite hardware pieces to use and it’s real nice you’re able to mix and match to get even more flavor. Another amazing release.
@@IntheDAW oh wow the Rupert Neve Master bus transformer isn't a Portico II with a blue faceplate?! Hahaha I definitely mistook them for the same piece of hardware. Thanks
@corypalmer5495 hahaha. The mbt is more for that extra fancy master bus processing the stereo imager is amazing and I love the compressor and super silk
This plugin does not play well with a hardware control surface. At all. The N/F switch cannot be mapped to a hardware button, the individual switches per module and the In/Out buttons can't be either. The header bar switches can't be mapped either. Work flow killer and I've found this with the other kiive that I've tried. Until this is fixed i won't consider them
The reason you're getting saturation from the comp make up gain is that your signal chain has the comp before the saturation, and so you are driving into it with the make up.
So stoked on this! I have the physical Neve MBT, but it's a huge pain to deal with the stereo with on the 2 bus when I don't want all tracks to have more width.
Having a lot of fun with this plug. Would love to see the option to run the saturation section in MS so that I can have N 'dark' in the mid channel and F 'drive' on the sides (without having to run a mid/side matrix and 2 instances of the plug). What would absolutely blow my mind is if we could engage a pultec 'low-end' trick type filter on the Dark saturation so it can be pushed harder while 'pultec'ing' back the 110~150hz range. As is the plug is stellar.
I have to say I love the N saturation mixed with the N eq then the F comp and N stereo on drums. oooooorrrrr F saturation with n eq F comp and F stereo widening on heavier guitars. f eq is amazing for stuff like keys and horns
@@kiiveaudio Man, i have here the SSLBuss+ and the SSL Fusion Hardware infront of me. Sorry, but the Plugin comes not near to it. The Neve maybe is better modelled maybe. Very nice idea but it can’t not replace the Hardware.
Thanks for having me on the channel Kiive team! This plugin absolutely rocks and is going to be a mainstay on my mix template moving forward! 🤘🎧
Noted, I'll change that in future videos@@WACkZerden
@@WACkZerden chill dude haha..
This plugin sounds awesome. But, there is no plugin on the Kiive Audio website. Why is that?

This one makes me really excited! Awesome review as well
Absolutely beautiful !The plugin really comes close to the Neve hardware . One of the best Mastering plugins I've used!Thank you!
Ok you nailed this one !Checking the demo rn.Awesome
The saturation on those Vocals sound Real Nice. This plugin sounds good overall. I may give the demo a try. Good demonstration video. Thanks, Man.
Yooooooo I love the modular feature!!! Great stuff 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Oh so it's an emulation of the SSL Fusion and the Neve Portico hardware. N for Neve, and F for Fusion.
Its a RND master bus transformer. But basically yep

great overview
Rupert Neve Designs MBT together with the SSL Fusion!
It's no longer MBT vs Fusion. Now you can have both and you can blend them in a unique way!
fook yeah!

This is exactly right. I do hope they fix this for their line up.
Very cool Kiive. Love your stuff. Xtressor and TapeFace are go to’s.
It's look like realy nice with a dope quality sound
The Cubase channel strip is wild.
Since this is modeling after the Rupert Neve Design MBT and SSL fusion, can’t wait for the Portico II Master Bus and the SSL Bus+ version one 😊
best plugin for years

Hope you enjoy!

How compared with SSL VST editions? Thanks
May ask what headphones you are using.
¿En serio? El HPF es para no aplastar demasiado los graves? Vengaaaaa
I thought the SSL Fusion was meant to be a high frequency compressor not a G comp?
It is. This emulation removed it though and replaced it with the G comp instead.
are the saturation segments tube or FET?
Transformer!
The difference between bypassed and engaged is so subtle that it makes the plugin seem completely worthless.
They same happened with the ssl fusion plugins. To me, this is pure hype
Not really! The difference between a software and a hardware is also often very subtle add we preffer the hardware ... :)
N mode for rock f mode more bass heavy music like hip hop edm
Comes that includes in plugin alliance
It does not, the only plugins that are, and will be available on PA are Tapeface, and XTComp! 🤘🔥

difference is what 20 percent max. u can achive that with couple plugins. no need to spend hunderds of dollars.
To many interruptions from talking!!!!
Lol
Sounds better when it is mute 😂 but totally mute. OMG what happened to the music
