POV: your 9th grade English class sent you here Edit: I wrote this comment over three years ago and yesterday I graduated if you’re reading this don’t ever give up as a procrastinator I know the struggle and stress of getting work in last minute but just keep pushing forward
I'm a 9th grade honors student and this saved me from having to read the story for tutoring some kids today! Great story for me a very posh kid to hear. I can't wait to help kids with this story today
I’m doing this for my English assignment but I have to admit the sounds of his voice along with his slight mess ups and the background music really make fore a pleasant time reading or I should say listening
thank u its my first year as an english major and our professor gave us the hardest assignment on this story ofc she told us to read it but it was a lot and I didn't have time to read it listening to it was so much easier
I was expecting the end to be like "oop looky here we found the necklace in a little crevasse" but no. Girl got told "yeah those weren't real diamonds bro" (the wonders of having English class)
I remember this story vividly in my English literature class. The ending blew me away...ppl could b so ungrateful always worrying about what dey don't have instead of what lies before Dem .her husband had to dig into savings as well from I remember. As a class students can look at this story from all sorts of angles my take and the moral to the story is stop complaining all the darn x and be grateful otherwise yu cld whined up like that wm at the end working hard and slaving. To make ends meet. Also ask questions first! Had shi knew the jewel was only worth 500 pakes she wouldn't have to go to that extreme
The word is dis-CON- so-late. Not discon-SOL-ate. And monsieur is not pronounced "monsoor." And Nantes is not "nantez." For gods sake. If you're going to read a French story learn to pronounce the French words. And a few English words besides.
