Amazing narration. I love this short story. Alice Walker should have written a novel about this family. This story made me want to hear more about their life. The way she describes the characters is superb. I would never mess with that momma; she would whoop my butt.
I always enjoyed this story. Momma reminds me of a lady I knew in my childhood. Her name was Florence and we called her husband pappy though they weren't related to us. He died when I was very young and florence continued living in their very rural home. In the early 90s she still cooked, heated her home and tub water with a wood stove, had no A.C.(this is in central Georgia) and still used an outhouse. She had a yard full of chickens too. She is still living and celebrated her 100th birthday last year although she suffers from dementia now and a bypass road runs over where her house used to be. An almost extinct way of life.
Can you please tell me what is this story , Is it real story or an educational story for schools please I want to know ? And is it in British English or in American English???

Great Reading! They make it sound like it's their own story and the voice matches how you would imagine it to be.
The readers’ voice and personality are so delightful for this piece. Wonderful story🌹

Very explicit indeed
Your voice is just perfect! I never heard a voice-over that felt more accurate to the story.
amazing narration of the story, it felt as if was said with feelings and as if the character's dialogue came to life
Coming in clutch night before an English quiz 💪
The audio helped me more than the story. Dee reminded me of myself coming up. She seemed confrontational and did not run from it.
