*NOTE!!* Apologies- I made a mistake with the modes. Sport and Sport Plus mode does use the hybrid motor. SPORT mode, one thing is paramount: driving pleasure. So the combustion engine is activated by default. It accelerates together with the electric motor, thereby allowing maximum boost. SPORT PLUS mode, you experience the full performance potential - e.g. on the racetrack. The combustion engine's power reserves are used to charge the battery. The result: increased boost availability up to top speed.
Nice review. I have a July 2024 S E-Hybrid Coupe. So far we really like it and the ability to drive short commutes on electric have been a bonus. An advantage of the hybrid is you can switch on the ac before you arrive at the car - this is a super feature. The car is also pretty quick, cruised at 260kph, here in Germany the other day, very stable and quiet. It is not head and shoulders over say a BMW X6, which we had before, but has enough Porsche dna to give it the edge. We have the advantage of a July 2023 911 4 GTS cab for the full fat Porsche dna though!
I have a 2016 Cayenne turbo. Fuel is much cheaper here in the states so I wouldn't want the V6. But that blue color is amazing! The coupe styling doesn't work for me. The boxier styling of the standard SUV looks more rugged. I like your channel.
I wish my Wife was a ‘Car Freak’ like your Mum!! I have a fully optioned 2024 Cayenne Coupe Turbo e-Hybrid ready for collection this Friday in Australia (on order since November 2023) - I am excited, but a ‘Ho hum’ moment for my Range Rover Sport driving Wife :(😢
Hi - loving your reviews and the real world approach. Just a comment - I think you've mis-understood the Sport and Sport+ modes. In a Porsche hybrid you do get the full power of engine and electric combined in Sport+. The sport modes run the engine and hybrid system full time and also charge the battery so you don't need to plug it in (but use more fuel, but handy if you want to use electric at your end destination). It's on the Porsche website/owners manual (I had the Panamera hybrid). Otherwise Sport+ would have less power than hybrid mode, not very Porsche!
@@ameliaautomotive I don't think it is in terms of what it can do. I doubt there's much the Cayenne can do that a 5 Series Touring can't, especially when I'm certain that very few Porsche owners buy them for any kind of ground-clearance requirement.

Thank you! You’re right - thanks for letting me know. I’ve added a note pinned to the video ☺️
Lovely car, but I'm with you V8 all day long.😊

I'd far rather have a 5 Series Touring.
Can’t go wrong with a 5 series but just a completely different car! ☺️
