It’s not just watching videos and reading investment books the challenge is using them well.

Is it a company you are thinking about buying? Sell a cash secured put. Is it a company you don't give a F about that doesn't typically react to earnings? Iron condor. Is it a stonk that run up massively before earnings? Call credit spread.
Newbie question: How come I pay more when I buy a call option as if I were buying the stock too versus selling a call option and getting around $5 or $7 from the credit?

Is it reasonable to open a position immediately after the release of the report when the direction of price movement is already visible? What strategies to choose? simple call and put or complex?
open position 5 minutes before the market close, let the implied volatility crush at earnings release during off trading hours, and the day after, close your position within 10 minutes from the opening bell.. ride the volatility crush.

Hi Tony, very good video thank you. I opened put credit spreads for AMD on January 6th and 20th, and a put credit spread for MSFT on January 11th. I've compared AMD performance to its' sector and it appears its performing eqaully to the sector where MSFT is underperforming compared to it's sector, although it has recently entered an upswing. The spreads have an expirary in February and March. I also see that OptionsPlay has a similar position in MSFT. Is OptionsPlay going to let their MSFT position ride through earnings? Thank you John

"Quantitative Easing" sounds like a term you would pay a marketing firm a million dollars for. In plain english it just means printing a fuck load of money/asset inflation.
