WRAP and WGH (World's Greatest Harbor) Norfolk, Virginia , all of 13 when the original dropped, misty eyes listening to this, fantastic remix, long live the 1970s.
Anyone who has loved deeply and lost knows how it feels to have your heart ripped from your chest and smashed against a wall, broken into a million pieces. It takes a long time to fit all the pieces together again. This song is a survivors song and just makes you feel stronger. Cheers 🥂 to us who have survived and come out on the other side.
A brilliant song by both NCY and the Pasadenas. This classic from the early 70's is a perfect candidate for extension and I just love this version. Just makes you feel you want to have a party. Thank God for Philadelphia and Motown! Thanks for posting! Just great!
Love your comment. It does want to make you party it does your so right merry Christmas 2021 ❤️🧑🎄 im doing fine now without you baby. Remember the day. You up and left
No wonder the Phillysound was so popular.70's Rock had for the most part that awful noise pollution called "Progrock".Without Philly most of that decade would have been unbearable. Thank you for posting this fantastic Tom Moulton mix.Highly appreciate this.
There’s something so special about these Tom Moulton remixes. Pretty cool he comes from my hometown of Schenectady, New York too! Philly Soul forever!!
Another Tom Moulton Masterpiece! Always loved this song since I bought the 45 way back when. After all these years, it's great to hear so much more of a favorite! Thank You Tom!
when you're on the dance floor , shaking your bits and you soooooooo wish the song could last forever ..... well , this is the closest thing you'll ever find .....
This kind of music is truly classical and belongs in the Music Hall of Fame! They just don't make music like this anymore. To be able to relive the days when real music played abundantly would be a music lover's dream come true....especially mine! Thanks for the post! God bless you!
I’ll second that a great song this takes me back to 1973 (I think😁👍) whatever year a fantastic song and mix another 1970’s classic wow there were so many 👍😁
I get the chills when I listen to this beautiful..song. I feel the rhytym and the beat and the words. 101522. Truly. Amazing it relaxes. Me. Tom .moulton is great. I'm..doing fine now. Remember the day. You. Up. And left. I nearly cried my self to death ,10 12 22. My. 54 rth birthday. God bless. I ran behind you. You never heard a word I said. 🙏❣️🙏🙏🙏🙏
This music will take you higher. Absolutely magnificent edit of a class tune. Near 2 mins of a beautiful instrumental build to a crescendo of a harmony after the verse. Structurally sound. It moves up every gear it can with the guitar and solo and then; the smooth ooohhh's toward the end at 7.50 ; are other worldly ,symphonic, uplifting , floating on another plain of existence. a mantra to keep with you through the day. Imagine a choir doing that. It would make you shed a tear. The super side of unreal . Hands in the air
Many people thought this song was recorded by the Spinners because the music and vocal style on this recording is very similar to theirs. This is because both groups were produced by Thom Bell, one the greatest producers out of Philly!
Check this out........ I have been doing a deep metaphysical study of Urban Music styles and composition and Whew!!!!!!!!!!! did I ever get more than I bargained for!!!!!!! Thom Bell is a musical genius who I believe kept his sanity because he maintained the "Square" life to balance out such essence of truly absolutely cool stuff. Putting it lightly.
Gorgeous track - Tom Moulton should have access to all 70's soul so he can add his magic touch. And then other stuff too. Those soul artists and he are pure stars. My fave is his mix is Year of decision, 3 degrees, it don't get ANY better
I always liked this song. This is a “feel Good song”. I like the upbeat and the lyrics. There were so many songs out there singing and crying about their mates leaving them and just keep crying over that person Hence: The Chi Lites. Here, the girl walked out of this guy’s life and he was initially upset until he found another and he’s doing great and not thinking about the previous girl. This one of those feel good songs where it ended very well for the guy who lost his first love. The remix is out of this world!!! I downloaded it and listen to it in my car all the time. 😄😄😄🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
This is one of the most defining old school club song that turn me to disco. It was an extension of my life my feelings and nothing could have said it better thanks nyc
The MASTER takes another sweet GEM and makes it better. Tom Moulton is the GOD OF REMIXES, I always LOVED this song and now theres more of it to LOVE!!!!

A big THANK YOU to THOM BELL and SHERMAN MARSHALL for writing this song..."I'm Doin' Fine Now". It's one thing to re-arrange a song, like Moulton did, however, it takes ALOT of talent and creativity to WRITE such a beautiful, meaningful song, like this, from scratch. Thom Bell, Sherman Marshall and the late Linda Creed... 3 of the best song writers that have...and ever will, put music notes on paper.
Brilliant remix I am doing fine now thank you so much for sharing this keep safe I hope that anyone watching this song is keeping well don't ever give up and follow your dreams ❤️🍀

Did this group turn into the Spinners?
No, they were two separate groups, but they were both produced by Thom Bell
The beautiful beginning of Disco.
This is just the best,brilliant.
Many people thought this song was recorded by the Spinners because the music and vocal style on this recording is very similar to theirs. This is because both groups were produced by Thom Bell, one the greatest producers out of Philly!

Another great track from the brilliant Jamaican record producer Thom Bell....
What a silly comment, everyone knows he is Russian!
@@johnnyhartley4330 No, no, he is Dutch...
@@petertinaak1233 No, you are getting him confused with the famous Dutch record producer Tom Meulletonne.
Dutch? How can he be Dutch if his mother is from Portugal and his father from Liechtenstein?
This is the CLASSIC PHILLY SOUND where I grew up in the 50s and 60s. Love the sound.
