Irrigation was turned off after fall harvest, but new shoots are growing back. The growth rate will slow down once it gets cooler, and the shoots will start to senesce in December.

This is a research hopyard at the UF/IFAS Gulf Coast Research and Education Center in Balm, Florida. We use LED supplemental lighting to control the timing of flowering. In this experiment, we are comparing two trellis designs (straight trellis vs V-trellis) at three heights (12, 15, and 18 ft).
