- I popped into BAR and put poor Lloyd straight on the spot, asking him what's new.
Knowing my preferences he showed-off two awesome compact sidelever PCP Air Rifles, the AirMaks Caiman and the Kral Puncher Empire XS. Then he showed me/us something different: The Venator, a very solidly-built mag-fed semi-auto AEG (Airgun, electric/battery-powered) that fires steel BBs for lotsa tactical plinking fun.
Thanks again Lloyd and Sean for your time, see you again soon.

Don't be so ignorant and appreciate that someone is taking time out of there life to do REAL reviews ! Russ has done some side by side comparisons which is only helping everyone in the community so what's your f*kin problem.
@@darrenrichardson6803 Tit that's all I can say

Hi your Whatsapp number send me please 🥺
Russ at last, a video about new products, instead of watching scopes all the time, Thanks more videos like this Thanks 👍
Heyup Russ, good to see they've got the next gen Caiman with the safety above the trigger, awesome little gun, been fancying the knight X's but waiting to see if the new laminate is at the show mate, great review mate, Best Regards, Jon, HETV 👍😁
I remember the good old days of beautifully crafted traditional air rifles. It's really strange revisiting this hobby after a 30 year absence to find so many of these odd looking, space age designs occupying the racks of gun shops.
John Darling (HW80 - then much later - the Theoben Rapid 7) & Arthur Shepard (Theoben Sirrocco) - the golden era. I too had the HW80, HW35 and Webley Omega, to name a few, during my decade with Airguns.
It's a different world now. But interesting to see how the market has evolved.
Really nice video. Cheers 👍
Thanks for watching.
I've owned a Theoben Rapid Mk.2 and other traditional-shaped rifles, but having been disabled (on crutches) the last twenty years I'm really grateful for these new compact designs, so much more portable for me!
All the best, cheers. Russ
I think the kids with the nerf guns grew up and took over. 😄😄

Bought a logun mk1 from here when the logun company was first started still using it today 👍
I have the Krait L(.22) and love it.Thanks.
I have previously purchased CARM mags and they are great, I have 3 for my Kral NP-03......... but since Brexit, trying to purchase CARM mags from the supplier for delivery to the UK is a real pain, last I saw you have to order a rediculous number of them for him to be able to post them over.
The Caiman is beautiful in that stock, will definitely be ordering one soon,..
I hope to review the Caiman very soon. 🤞😍
@@RussDouglas222 I have a Katran with a Pard DS35 on it, i chose the Pard after your brilliant review videos, haven't managed any night shooting as yet,...hopefully soon!
@@philangel4273 Happy to help - enjoy!
Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
Bought my first air gun there ,rws diana 52..still have it xxxxx
Sweet! 👏
I recently found (at my folks' house) my old immaculate/boxed/rare Crosman 1389 Backpacker (bought here thirty? years ago) - that's been serviced and will be getting sold as soon as I've reviewed it.
Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
I always thought 2 bottles was a gimmick. I picked up the uragan 2 . Twin bottle at the shooting show and Jesus that is balanced.
Yep I loved that twin-bottled Uragan Compact Prince on the Edgar Brothers stand, and in Blackpool Air Rifles last Thursday. 👌😍
That venator looks like a Barra 400e are they the same under a different name great to see Lloyd back miss the videos at the shop
Could you possibly consider filling the last pellet port in the Krait’s magazine with a stopper, to have an identifiable, positive “stop”, albeit at a cost of one shot out of the 18 shot magazine? If the mag didn’t let the plunger/pellet seater seat, you’d soon get the idea that it’s time to reload; either this, or just buy a second magazine and change over after you’ve lost count, hopefully before 19 shots are fired!
I suggested a blanked chamber to AirMaks, but they're cautious of the pellet probe being accidentally damaged if pushed against the blanked chamber.
From CARM magazines I do have an aftermarket 3D-printed alternative magazine with a blanked last chamber (lower capacity), plus a similarly 3D-printed single-shot loader (e.g., for HFT)...

I must finish testing these soon. 🤦🏻
Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
Hi guys enjoyed the video. I recently purchased a Reximex Mito pistol can you do a video on red dot scopes across the price range that can fit the rail. Also suitable scopes and mounts. There isn’t a lot of help out there from the U.K. perspective. Cheers.
14:04 no no no that’s not KeyMod… it’s called M-LOK & it made KeyMod obsolete 😅
My bad, thanks for the correction. 👍
Cheers. Russ
I wish PCPs didn't all look like a super soaker.
@@noire1001 There are still traditional rifles available from many brands, but tactical-styled rifles are very popular.
If they weren't selling they wouldn't be made. 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
How hard could it be for the shot count ,to be illuminated into the scope ,maybe little number in the corner ,,someone needs to do it be worth lots of money to the 1st person who manages it
So you'd like an electronic rifle action that has a live shot count(down), that's displayed onscreen within a digital scope? TBH I can't see that ever happening, as I can only think of a few high-end marques (e.g. Daystate) that could do that, and they're not closely aligned with any digital (day & night) scope manufacturers (that I know-of). 🤔🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
@@RussDouglas222 hi Russ I've seen a rifle with a inbuilt chronograph in the barrel displaying fps,in real time ,could easily do a count into that ,
'firing beyond the curtilage' a specific offence not the same as 'armed trespass' I'm pretty sure
Interesting, but it might well be down to the discretion (or not) of each individual UK Police force, as I wouldn't be surprised if opinions differ between them on this subject.
All the best, cheers. Russ
I want to buy one and take to my country, will I have any problems at the airport ??
You shouldn't if it's depressurised/unloaded and you check with your airline first.
Cheers. Russ
The first rifle looks like a plank.
It's a simple shape for sure, but so's the Daystate Pulsar, which is essentially a plank with a sticky-out handle.
I love that the Caiman feels purposeful and I can loop a belt through the rear stock hole as a simple sling, but I definitely prefer the compact look of the Caiman over the Caiman X.
Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
Is the AEG a full auto for the UK. Enjoy the reviews!
Doh, read it in description. Semi Auto Shame
Aye sorry, here in the UK full-auto's only available for Airsoft (whether gas-op or AEG).
Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
🐶🙂👌👍👋🏻
The caiman looks like cricket bat it's awful.
When the going to make up grand for tht BB gun like the black bird mother bords
I don't know what you mean, sorry? 🤷🏻♂️
KRAIT X reg recalled twice and now the action is recalled. Lots of issues for their very expensive rifle.
I asking know how to prosis in the United Kingdom pcp airgun to Philippines i have a planned to buy pcp airgun
What happened to the links ?
Rambo *NOT* 😆
some of us like springers, allway pre charged high end price. you got it wrong
I suggest you look at a decent airsoft weapon they are no different to the weapon you are holding. Disappointing knowledge of these types of gun.
But I said exactly that in the video 🙄, it's an airsoft-style BB-firing rifle that's almost identical to an airsoft AEG, just slightly more powerful as it's intended to fire steel BBs?!?
Lloyd has a massive collection of airsoft and knows them inside-out. R
Learn to count or single load
You dealers and gun shop owners have to stop saying that this gun fires “steel ball bearings” IT DOESN’T
IT FIRES BB’s. BB is a recognised shot size like buck shot and bird shot. Saying that the BB’s❤ a ball bearing is at the very least misleading. If you get an impressionable youngster thinking that his new toy will shoot ball bearings he’s going to try it isn’t he. So stop saying “ bbs” are ball bearings when they patently are NOT.
...except (technically) what does "BB" stand-for? 🤔 I don't remember anyone calling them anything other than BBs, but the far more important thing is to remember they have a significant ricochet danger, which all users have to be aware-of and take steps to avoid.
Othewise they're being dangerous or at least irresponsible, and irresponsible people shouldn't have access to guns anway. 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
@@RussDouglas222 “BB” was originally designated to a size of lead shot measuring .180’ in diameter. Used in early Airguns by Benjamin Etc so when they wanted to import their guns to England the size was reduced to .177. There are lead substitutes for bbs now so ricochets aren’t so much of a problem. As for irresponsible gun users there is no solution apart from a complete ban so there will always be one.
Every machinist, mechanic and engineer in the world would tell you, you are wrong.
He used the tearm "steel ball bearing"
A quick look in the Oxford dictionary will show you your error
Like your own voice don’t ya
Get it and find out fxxk !!!

This bloke is a RIP off!! On his second sand guns !!!
Oh I think you'll find Lloyd knows what guns are worth, far better than I ever do. 🤷🏻♂

Lmao I gotta love living in America, we don't get these pansy ass air rifles lmao we get REAL rifles that shoot actual bullets! This is why we are the best
🤭😂😂😂
What's funny? The UK uses air rifles, we use actual rifles in fact I have 4 rifles within my houes that I own that shoot 7.62 Nato & 5.56 not to mention the 2 shotguns I have along with the 8 handguns that I have of multiple calibers & I carry my new Taurus G3C sub compact side arm 9mm, what is it that you use for an everyday carry in the UK, it's OK I'll wait?
Oh n trust n believe I'm not trying to be mean in any way, I'm just trying to figure out what other countries use for everyday carry protection or even if you guys are allowed to carry any form of protection, so PLEASE enlighten this dumb American! (I'm being dead ass serious guys)
@@SweetLeafNinja I have non-FAC and higher-powered airguns, plus 17HMR rimfire, each has a specific role for pest control and I'm both licensed and insured.
I have friends who control foxes and harvest deer with .223", .243", .308" and 6mm Creedmoor, all fully licensed and safely regulated.
We have no need for "everyday carry" because here guns aren't needed for personal protection. If more guns actually meant more safety the US would be the safest country on the planet, whereas it's actual a third-world country safety-wise. Tragic.
We thankfully have almost no gun violence and zero school shootings, because here guns are safely regulated, unlike over there where far too many folk own and carry firearms with almost zero regulation, despite your beloved 2nd amendment specifying "...well regulated...".
MUCH safer to live in Canada, where they treat firearms with sanity, and corrupt politicians aren't blatantly bought-off by the gun lobby. 👌🤷🏻♂️
Yea about that, we have firearms to protect us against cowards that hold power like the communist idiot known as Canada's PM, that's the whole point of the 2nd amendment, for us to protect ourselves & our land from terrorism of both foreign & domestic terrorism (like the pathetic regime in office now) reason for shootings is the ignorance of those who broke the law & use illegal forearms to do harm to others, I myself was raised by a special forces sniper, I know if it comes down to it, use my hands over my gun to whip someone's ass & use my everyday carry to protect myself & those around me from a criminal that has an illegal firearm & believe it or not these democratic clowns lobby for gun control all while giving criminals that have absolutely no rights to own a firearm tye abilities to get one illegally, all of my firearms are legal & I use them all at the range, hunting & hopefully getting into a competition soon (don't think I'm hood enough just yet) & I'm pretty sure you already know most of the school shootings we have are in democratic ran cities, you rarely see that kind of stuff happen in a republican state or city & that's because we yave a lot more common sense than some drugged lunatic democratic idiot... BUT I do find it neat that you have air rifles to rid yourself of pest... we just use other animals for that for the most part anyways...
