  • Join me as I hike up the Great Slide to Grace Peak in the Adirondack Mountains. From waterfalls, to swim holes and incredible views, this hike has it all!
The hike begins on Route 73 and is about 10.5 miles total with an elevation gain of around 2,800 ft. While not necessarily the most physically demanding hike, it can be difficult to stay on the trail, which is really just a herd path.
Formerly known as East Dix, Grace Peak is the 42nd tallest mountain in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks. It's named after Grace Hudowalski, who was the first woman to hike all of the Adirondacks 46ers.

Thanks Lincoln. Nice looking at the real America from here in Canberra. The Adirondacks appeal to me.

Hey Lincoln, I have found kind of a peace in your videos! They are great! Those video shots deserve many more views. I am curious about your equipment, I love the quality of your shots and I am curious what camera, lens and other gear do you use in videos like this one. The quality is really very great, I love it!
Edit: I have noticed while you were on top of the mountain - in your shadow, looks like you are holding GoPro? I wouldn't ever say those scenes were shot on GoPro. I am about to buy Canon 10-18mm lens for my Canon 250D for about $280, and I would rather consider GoPro for like $400 if this is the quality of the shots :OOOOOO

Yeah most of this video is shot on a Go Pro Hero 8 in 4K. The newer Go Pro’s are even better, but it all depends on what you’re looking for in a camera or lens!

If you're interested, I could write some original music for you to use as an intro, background, or any cool general theme you'd like. I really like what you're doing here and I'd be thrilled to work with you 🙏

How was the downclimb off of the slide?

So there's a herd path that runs next to the slide through the trees. I decided to take it down instead of hiking back down the slide. It's pretty simple to follow
