What a phanta-city-c Idea! The stacked houses remind me of those colorful mediterranean villages that are built on hills along the coast. I will definitely try to follow your example and try to catch the Italian village vibes at the same time.
Thank you so much Shana for your lovely tutorials 💜 it's so calming and relaxing to draw with you every day ✨ Today I was drawing something else but listening to you talking helped me to not be so critical of myself 💕
This video inspired me to do a version of this tonight. Fun and I am a beginner to watercolor so it definitely is a good practice of gradients and water control.
Shana, I really struggle with SEEING cool and warm colours. I don’t mean that I’m colourblind…..I’m not! But my sister can look at a colour and know right away which temperature it is. She can see the undertones as well. I think I can’t or I don’t feel confident with it!! Any suggestions? Does this inability hamper my art? HELLLLLLLLLP,!! 😂
Don’t worry. This is tricky for so many people and it just comes with practice. Start with the basic colors red, yellow and orange - warm Blue, green, purple - cool. A good exercise is to sort the colors you own into these categories first. Then, once you have all your reds together see if you can sort them in the warm and cool versions of reds by looking at them. Then you can google the color Name with warm or cool to fact check your self. Like “Alizarin Crimson cool or warm?” I hope that helps a bit.
I enjoyed this...my fav colors...just inking two buildings was just enough accent. Fun...
Thanks, this one really floats my boat, I will do more of this.❤❤❤❤
Beautiful scene in lovely colours ❤. I love how you are undecided at times…just like us less talented people 😂
Good morning Shana. This is my favorite color palette too! This looks like it's going to be a fun project! Have a fantastic day

Looks sooo good....without the Windows...😉
Agreed. I would definitely rethink those windows. 😁
❤
What paint did you use for the windows?
I used dr. ph Martins bleed proof white. You could also use white gouache.
What is the bright what paint??
It’s called Dr. ph Martin bleed proof white.
