So you say Pax Dei is a bad MMO. Because if you can do that solo, what is the point to cooperate or compete - to play with other people. So it maybe a great solo RPG, but it is obviously bad multiplayer game.
I can actively see Narc’s soul reforming piece by piece as he receives actual content to play instead of resorting to schizophrenic episodes to pay rent.
Forming content around a game that actually exists does wonders

as a nolife neckbeard that loves grindy games (poe, terraria etc) "the fact that you lose items when u die and the crafting RNG is worse than lost ark honing" is garbanzo imo, this is gonna make me quit the game real quick

@@Nelis1324 ye but u need to get back to the loot, lets say u die on a cliff that will always kill you when u slide down it, (happened on asmons stream) then the gear is unretrievable. Every time you run back up to the mountain where you died on a cliff side you will die to fall damage when u try to slide down it again to retrieve gear, you cant even run back up to build stairs to get to ur loot because it requires you to claim that building area and ur limited to 1 area claim

I really enjoyed this video and I particularly love your gaming attitude as a solo player, facing the grind and the game as a challenge and adventure.

So PaxDei crafting is shit. That's what I got from this montage. I was there for the streams but this breaks it down perfectly. Set craft on autoplay while I go do laundry. Awesome.

Narc is a seriously underrated content creator right now. The only reason he doesn’t have more subscribers is because Ashes doesn’t have as much hype as these P2W MMOs, right now.
Really hoping Alpha 2 ramps up the hype and that Narc gains more recognition he deserves. Really glad he’s expanding his reach!

Holy shit this game is exactly what I was expecting from Ashes. I think I like it even more because of it's very slow pace, no overdone lighting, special effects or animations. Also gear progression feels real and you are not born or granted with perfect shining knight armor right away, like if looks to be the case in Ashes. Also I liked the realistic crafting and the chance that crafting something new can fail. I also liked the stamina bar for chopping wood, mining etc, so it gives you a feel of progression when you get a better axe or a better mining pick. The world feels dangerous and intimidating and therefore immersive. Thank you for showing the game and recommending it to Asmon, otherwise I'd miss out on that one.
Funny, all those thing you like - i hate. I've already tried a game like that (Myth of Empires) and it's boring as hell. And that's not even mentioning that you have to play with hordes of sociopaths in PvP. Mmm good times...

Will I ever play this game? Hell No.
Will I watch people mald after they lose hundreds of hours of grind because of a small mistake? Hell Yes!
playing solo is a pretty huge mistake

Thanks for doing this. I was hoping to get into alpha just to see how it would work with my soloist gamestyle. I can honestly say it is now not on my list of games to consider in the future as my gameplay sessions rarely hit the numbers of hours I generally play these types of games - outside of the initial days or weeks hype.
This gives me STRONG SWG vibes... and that has me sooo excited for this game 😭....awesome job Narc.

Very excited to play this game. Ngl, it reminds me a lot of a good mobile game I've played a long time ago, it's called "Durango: WIld Lands". Lots of similarities, from the plot sharing to the crafting leveling. We used to make put our clan enclave (the term called in that game, plot for pax dei) and personal enclave with each other to form a large city, in a map called "Civilized map", where there is no pvp. Just pure pve and community building. Also, for crafting, we used to spam craft to level up a certain skill. It also takes a lot of time to process ores and tanned leathers in Durango. It sometimes took 5-8 hrs depending on the quantity and a lot of pre-requisite materials processed in long durations too. That's why this game excites me since it's been a long time since I've played a game similar to Durango, and I've been searching all this time for it.
Still not sure how to feel about this game yet, I am going to be pretty annoyed if I build my house somewhere solitary to enjoy the scenery only to have someone else builds their house in front of my view.
Really eager for this game to be the new age Wurm Online. Loved Wurm uhh decades ago... This game has potential to be its successor.
I enjoyed my Alpha 2 experience but didn't get a chance to put in as many hours as i wanted. Any tips on finding gneiss deposits? I looked and looked and couldn't find any. Would have been nice rather then picking up rocks off the ground.
As a casual, I do not see myself playing this in its current state.

I would love to join and create a shrine or something, becoming independend side between kindgdoms/clans, or falling under protection of a certain kingdom. That would be super cool :D

Looks very much like Life is Feudal mmo. But without all the janky, laggy mess. Or maybe what New World woulda been like if they didn't decide to change the whole game at the last minute.

definitely the last point. what I enjoyed in new world on opening was this, everyone was setting up camp, crafting basic items, litterally everyone was trying to get every node of herb, tree or rock there was. now its just ungathered and souless nodes.

They took the shards tech from wow and used it in a base building MMO , that's what players have been asking Blizzard to do
It was tired watch narc play the game we all had to hold his hand and back seat for him 24/7 even when he lost his gear we had to come to his rescue and save him

The crafting/gathering sounds wonderful. It should be hard, the best will put the work in and should be rewarded for it. The rest of us can go around and kill things and have our fun in our own way, while a master crafter actually puts the work in and should be known throughout the world as such. Not everyone needs to be a master crafter.
Got access to the test this time around. Was excited to give it a shot until watching this as I will be playing solo. 😂 Will still check it out for the world but doubt I’ll be picking it up if this is their vision for the game.

@@danielmiller4354 Same for me, A1 was a really bad grind. I hope they adjusted numbers to a reasonable level as they said. Its still in alpha though and they will re-balance in further versions for sure. Thats also why they need feedback from alpha testers.

I really hope they fix having to sit there afk for 40 minutes to craft. Have crafting take place while you do other tasks or something.

Thatas how good MMORPGs work. You dont just craft the best gear and beat the game. You have to protect yourself and you crew and if you die than you have to come together and build more good gear........ not that difficult man. I mean seriously

Fantastic! Not the game, but the level of despair it gives you when you realize all those hours and effort are only to go confront a completely bunk jank ass afterthought of a combat system.
Looks like worse conan exiles in U5. Why should i play it?
