@@Dondolini94 Yes, it's also the simplest concept ever. Where it shines is the quality of the build and the reliability.
But it is an all offense bot. Rotator is a mix of defense and offense. His armor didn't take a scratch. Basically you could just create an all armored bot and let Tombstone destroy itself on it.

Got to admit, the destruction left in Tombstone's wake never gets old.
Rotator was like "Taste your own medicine, old man." it was a genius strategy to make it full defensive.
Duck and blacksmith got robbed, they both had working weapons and disabled their opponents weapons and still lost. In my eyes a working weapon isnt damage points so it doesnt make sense that they lost on damage when they both drove well and kept equal od better control.
Sawblaze was completely off balanced with the heavier blade and lockjaw just couldnt get around the wedge to hit ducks tires.
Duck got a weapon? Yeah Sawblaze was clunky af.
To be fair, does Blacksmith's hammer ever do any damage? It only ever scratches the paint, if even that. You can't get good points for damage when hit after hit after hit you're not dealing any damage. Honestly, I don't quite understand why people who want to be competitive still bring hammerbots. The hits are so hard to land, and even when they do they're entirely superficial. Blacksmith, on top of that, is pretty tall, top-heavy and brittle compared to the competition. It doesn't have anything going for it, it's a square box with 2 mostly for-looks weapons. Why do they persevere with this design if they want to be competitive?
for blacksmith more damage was done to it and even tho sawblades weapon wasnt spinning the hammer part still works so it had a working weapon still off balance or not it did more damage to the other bot and took none
Sawblaze is my favorite both the bot and team but Blacksmith absolutely deserved the W in this fight.
It's clunky and unbalanced tho.
@@goku445 this iteration was cluncky because of the heavier saw. It became the definition of balanced with the next upgrades

Definitely somewhat of a controversial call for Lock Jaw, I can't say I agreed with the decision. 🤔
It seems like it but I'd say that duck didn't get really any chance to do something.
The problem with Duck is that you cannot get points for defense. You can only get them for offense. Duck has no real weapon to speak of. Its beak is almost commically ineffective. I actually considered most of Duck's wins to be controversial at best.

@@CZpersi ... but you don't get defensive points anyway? There's points for damage, aggression and control, none for avoiding or defending against damage. Getting damage points against Duck is rather difficult, and I think it beat Lockjaw here (as Lockjaw at least lost its main weapon), but Donald def got the points over Ducky for control and probably aggression too..
i can't say it enough i love this show. Honestly there hasn't been any good shows for a long time especially since short seasons and long waits at least we know every year battlebots will release a new season. Even if I want 100x more battlebots.
I love tombstones design. It's so simple and to the point.

I don't know, suprisingly, Duck could have won that too. I mean, it even engaged a lot head on with LJ, so agressiveness could go equal, control equal, damage, ... who done it? It beats me, but Duck's got a game.

Poor blacksmith... robbed in ep 1 when quantum broke the 30 second hold rule due to it's design but still got given the win, and now this... I really don't understand these judges sometimes.

I would really add another primary objective, which is being in the middle of the area alone for 20-30 secs. There a lot of case when the bot doesn't move for like 20 secs, but no countdown were initialized - then it's battle over, or just simply take some step which is far from "functional".
Most destructive goes to Riptide these days. Even the team is not very "sportsman" their bot is B.R.U.T.A.L.
has someone ever thought on putting ceramic inserts on their blades?
Aren't they too brittle for that?

Blacksmith killed sawblaze’s primary weapon, and landed many more hits in a fight where sawblaze could not stand upright most of the time. Don’t know how the judges ruled the way they did, but it is a detriment to the sport.
Blacksmith is very weak and can't do much in mist fights. BUT in this fight I agree that it should be the winner.
Sawblaze is a very good bot, but this configuration was bad, just bad.
Sawblade controlled the fight, pushed him around and did more damage, the hammer did nothing. Call was good.
Numerous hits from a weapon which does no damage doesn’t count for much.
@@xiaoka saw blaze main weapon was out of commission at the end of the fight. Blacksmith was still working.

its a bit sad, that the main weapon of most of this machines is always a rotating blade and the desing of the body is also most the same..
Weird the dude introducing the bots never gives us specs. Weight, weapon type and grade, material, drive train. Etc.. be cooler if he did.
