wow they played this in chicago last week and I'm a terrible fan who hasn't heard their first album (only the once soundtrack), so this came as a big surprise to me. It's hauntingly beautiful (along with "The Moon")
I don't see it but respect your ear for tempo re: Mazzy Star....just listened to her live fade into you piece and it sounded like knockin' on heavens door minus the words with and 80's spin. Curious comparison.
There is an allure and innocence to her performances that far outweigh any technical critique one might offer up. I just love listening to her!
She is an artist of the highest caliber. Bravo!
Dieses Lied ist soooooooooooo schön!
she's great, beautiful and sounds like an angel when she sings
best version of this song!
I love her voice, its so graceful, and lovely.
I really love how the melody goes at the refrain not to talk about her and Glen Hansard's lyrics, so personal and touching.
Amazing.
I love her voice!
Beautiful, Always beautiful.
beautiful sound
Yes, they played the Auditorium Theater on Congress. It was beautiful. (There are a few vids up here from the show)
My heart, my soul .... It's hard
Now that's a voice, girls & boys.
I love Mar voice
So brilliant
she was dedicating the song to some people before she started to play...and now she said few more names that she forgot to mention before :)

They were in Chicago last week? (Hits self on the forehead hard). I cannot believe I missed that!

If Glen has a romantic streak, Marketa definitely has a melancholic one.Just plain beautiful...
astonishing :)

@darkbutnotemo He always plays that same guitar. I think it's called 'Horse'.

she dedicated the song to her friends before she started to sing...then she remembered few more friends..so she said their names :-)

anyone has any idea what are the chords she is playing?
0 dislike. nobody can click on it.
no idea :)
Four thumbs down...didn't mean to offend any Mazzy Star fans. I still think there are better comparisons...one being a subdued style of Eva Cassidy.
